Not so bad if its your house, but this was a late today cancellation for a tomorrow tenting on a multifamily home. 4 tenants in Hotels plus prep and they knew since yesterday about their inability to keep their committment and conveyed it to me after 4pm today. Nine years later and I had to have my house tented AGAIN. Dry wood termites are the devil. The housecall guys were professional but if you find termites get on their schedule! I made my appointment for the tenting around 2 months in advance and that was their first availability. Communication could have been a little better, but they figured I remembered from 2004 all the rules (not so much). Still I'm glad to have ALL the bugs killed. Our house has been under contract for termites for 2 years. We've had termites at least a full year and a half out of that time (not consecutively!). We're still finding active termites. We're going to have to completely tear down and rebuild part of our house because they're useless. When we called them this last time to let them know we have termites AGAIN, they said the chemical they used works for 5 years, but it clearly doesn't. They don't claim any responsibility for termites returning and are absolutely no help. I know this is cliche, but I would give them negative stars if I could. read more

I would not recommend using this service at all! I signed up for the quarterly pest control service. I received one treatment. Fast forward to the next quarter. I called in to find out if it was time for my next service and Katie told me that it was actually due a month ago! Then, she goes back and forth with me about how busy she is blah blah and why she didn't call. Having the company call you when it's time is part of why people sign up for recurring services like this, so the company can take care of it. It's what I'm paying them to do. Katie was rude, didn't listen, talked over me and then said I was probably kicked out of the system because there was an issue with my payment last time --payment method was corrected in timely manner! Now I can't get my next appointment until 2 months past when it should have been done! Needless to say, I am on the hunt for another service provider one that does appointment reminders, has better tracking of recurring appointments and with BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. I felt like a bad girl after termites started swarming my house this year. They were in the bed, washing machine and in every other room almost. It was like a freakin' plague. I thought I did something wrong. "Maybe I shouldn't have taken an off week and thrown my Coke cans around the house when I was done," I thought. Turns out, the termites were coming out to play since I had just treated my subterranean/Formosan termites with Fischer Environmental (also a great company) and they were trying to mate for one last time. Irresponsible house tenting for termites My next door neighbor had her house tented for dry wood termites yesterday. The tenting company, House Calls, was the same company that tented my home several years ago. Because you have to vacate the house while they are setting up the tent and during the "gassing", you have no idea what's actually happening at your home. I have a two story house and could see several "unpatched" holes in the tent on my neighbor's roof. As I walked around (prior to gassing), I could see holes here and there. I went out to talk to the supervisor of the tenting crew telling him of the holes and slashes in the tent. He promised he would do a final inspection and take care of any openings. He also said someone would crawl under the house to make sure no animals were hiding there. When I returned home that evening (and the tent crew was gone), I saw that the same holes were still gaping. There is a guard stationed overnight for the actually gassing of the home. He saw me walking around taking pictures of the holes. I even brought him in my house so that he could see the tent roof from my second floor. He was very nice and said they would come back to take care of patching. By the time we went to bed, there was no sign of the "return" crew. No telling how many gaps were on the other side of the house that I couldn't see!! They removed the tent so early this morning, I admit that I didn't get a chance to see if they had somehow come during the night. My neighbor and I use different exterminators. It seems that they both subcontract the tenting to this company. I am very upset that my family has been exposed to the poison. I don't know if this is the only tenting company in town but I highly recommend that you, if faced with tenting, request an alternative company. Perhaps House Calls will get the hint and get newer or better repaired tents. I have lodged a complaint to both my exterminator and my neighbor's. The above was posted on Next-door. read more

My house in MS was recently inspected by House Call USA for a prospective buyer. Do not let this company in your house. He damaged three areas of my home that I have found thus far leading to repair costs for me. The main damage he caused was to the piping under my sink where he broke the seals to the threaded couplings and the sink base flange. I discovered this the next day when I got home and smelled a musty smell in the kitchen and found standing water under my sink cabinet. The piping looked crooked and when I turned on the water to see where the leak was coming from, water came gushing from the coupling and was also dripping from the sink base flange. I had emergency plumbing work to repair the piping, but I am still working to get the smell out. Inspector's job is to inspect one's home, not damage it. I took pictures, documented, and turned the information over to the realtor, but thus far House Call hasn't responded with any accountability. Do not use! read more

Have admitted negligence when missing termites on our home inspection. 6mo later I Had to get the department of agriculture and forestry out to my house to find entry point of these termites they incompetently could not find. I can't thank the team at House Call enough for rescuing us from a terrible bed bug infestation last week. I noticed bites on Friday but as we have a dog, I thought they were due to a few fleas. Saturday night I actually woke up scratching and found that our house had become infested with some tiny insect. (side note: wrap your luggage in saran wrap if you fly) I called the House Call staff on Monday and they were able to identify these insects as bed bugs from a video I sent them. They fit me into their schedule and had the house tented by Tuesday morning, and I was back in my house by Thursday evening. We have not found any bugs in the house since. Everyone at House Call was very professional and did an outstanding job! I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of fumigation services. read more

House Call is unprofessional, there products don't work, and they do not communicate well with their customers. I've had a contract with House Call for 5 years and my house is loaded with termites. The entire operation is to see how much they can make on you and your home. They couldn't care less about your property and they certainly do everything they can to blame other things besides their company when termites invade your home. I had my house tented by them a few years ago and the manager assigned to my house gave me grief about having to do it and when I called to complain about his attitude towards me the customer the owner said he must be having a bad day. It's unfortunate, but everyone has a hustle. Housecall's seems to be sending home inspectors who also "happen to find" drywood termites - this happened when my home was inspected by them. Naturally, I wanted to book a tenting fumigation asap to deal with it. However, when I got another estimate, the other termite company couldn't find any evidence of drywood termites....and neither could the next company I called. Turns out, HouseCall's inspection company is a subsidiary of their pest control company. One of the inspectors told me it wasn't the first time he'd come out to do a competing estimate for HouseCall, only to not be able to corroborate their claims of drywood termites. I felt I was mislead for the purpose of this company being able to sell me an expensive service. Pro tip: always get a second [or third!] estimate. read more

Do not trust their inspectors when purchasing a home. They do not do a very good inspection and miss things. The inspector missed a leaking AC unit and now I have to get work done to it.
