This was a fun escape room. I've been to better rooms, but i enjoyed it. We did Saving Lincoln. The room was pretty small, so you won't need a group of more than 4. Our family of 3 didn't have to share, which was nice, as some places like to pack people in. The clues were decent, but as always, it takes some thinking. Haven't been to many escape rooms so I wouldn't know how well they stack up to the competition, but what I will say is my friends and I had a great time. We did the scary room (yes it was actually pretty scary at some points) and it really got the adrenaline flowing. Staff was very helpful giving clues when we needed them, and it was a room challenging enough to make you really have to really think about things but not too challenging to the point that it felt impossible. Can't say enough nice things about the staff, they truly went above and beyond for me in a time of need. For context we did the last escape room of the night before they closed. Unfortunately I ended up misplacing my keys while I was there, and these two amazing ladies went above and beyond trying to help me find them for an hour after they were supposed to close for the night. They did everything they could to help me find them... We looked through about 30 minutes of security camera footage, and basically turned the whole place upside down looking for them. Luckily after about an hour we did end up figuring out where they went. To the two amazing ladies that went above and beyond helping me find my keys an hour after their shift was supposed to end, I really can't thank you enough! You guys are amazing. What a great time!!! I would definitely say if your looking for a fun activity, come and check this place out! We came here as a group of 12 for a friends birthday. We had a blast! We did the night at the museum room. The handheld radios are a MUST to complete the room. We absolutely loved when the "night guard" enters and everyone has to hide. We laughed so hard! I was disappointed with my experience at house of conundrum. We had to wait 25 minuets past our scheduled time. Once we got into "night at the museum" we were told a guard would come through that never did. When we got stumped and asked for clues (twice) the worker told us some item or clue was "supposed to be there". A couple items were broken or seemed to be already solved. They did note they were understaffed and the staff we did interact with were kind and helpful but for the price of an escape room they should be staffed enough to make sure guests have the right experience. read more

We did the Saving Lincoln and Rescuing the Revolution rooms. Both were challenging but totally doable. The videos setting the stage are so poorly acted they actually work. It puts you in a good mood. I went with my friends and we had soooo much fun. It was 9 by the time we got out and we loved it so much that we wanted to do another one even though it would be 10 at night when we got out. Employees there were so nice and they were so supportive and fun on the intercom even When my friends and I had no idea what we were doing. Our announcer was Rebecca. She even showed us the other rooms to help us decide which one we wanted to do! She had amazing jokes and we all had fun talking to her over the intercoms when we were in the room. Before I leave my glowing review, I do want to mention my one reservation: we went to "House of Conundrum" on 12/28/2021, at the height of the Omicron Covid spike across the nation, and NONE of the employees we encountered wore masks, which we found concerning & unsafe. Regarding the experience itself: The four of us who went LOVED the "Rescuing The Revolution" escape room. (I'm an early American historian, so I was especially delighted.) We loved the clues, the story, and the little videos they showed as we worked through the clues. We finished with only 9 minutes to spare (out of 60 minutes) and only asked for clues twice (which we learned was "pretty good!" haha). When the employees gave clues it was great because they didn't just give you the answer; they gave you hints that let you work out the answers yourselves. Would highly recommend for a group of friends or family. read more

Used a lot of brain work, but some hands-on puzzle work, along with techy effects kept it interesting & adventurous! For being my first escape room, I didn't know what to expect. It was a mix between anxiousness and determination, but at the end, it was a great experience. I went with a group of friends at 11pm at night (they are open late!) and had a hard time finding the door. I think the staff saw us struggling on the cameras and was nice enough to come down and bring us to the venue. We went with the easiest room, and even that was a challenge for us. The scenario was very clever and I liked the narrative video shown at different checkpoints throughout the hour. The whole experience was very engaging and I truly enjoyed myself! I would like to see an actual escape room, though, since the room was more of solving a problem. read more

Went here a couple months back and did the Revolution one. Having never been into an escape room I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. When they stuck us in a small room and told us we had an hour, I was skeptical that it was going to go by fast. I thought I might be bored out of my mind or claustrophobic at the very least- it was neither of those things! The clues were well set up and the experience was very engaging. For the four of us (who were all first-timers), we enjoyed it very much and are planning a second visit this upcoming Saturday. We had a "staff" bonding day, and this is where the boss took us - we broke up into two groups and our group won! We were in the "Saving Lincoln" room, and it was a tough one! We did have to ask for a clue to get us through the challenge of saving the President. It was a great team building experience, and I would highly recommend this place. This is the second escape room that I have tried, and I think this one was much more challenging than the other place we had gone to. I would definitely come back and do this again. Found this on Groupon for $29 for 2. Apparently it only has 1 room ready to go and will have a few more in the coming weeks. We played Saving Lincoln which was a room that involved saving Lincoln. Makes sense. This was only my 2nd Escape game so I can't say I'm a professional or have the most knowledge of what a game should/shouldn't be like (I do play the apps on my phone tho). Overall, the game was difficult but not overly hard or too easy. Unfortunately, we did need a little help but in hindsight we shouldn't have needed it. Good luck! Can't wait to check out the other rooms!! Tip: record the recording on ur phone, it helped slow things down and skips some of the extra talking. Visiting house of conundrum was a great time! A group of staff members went to check it out this week. My team landed in the "saving Abraham Lincoln" room. No prior history knowledge or trivia minds are required here! Our team finished in just under 20 minutes, but unfortunately, the man running it didn't count it because one of the padlocks had been opened by a guess and not by following their logic. This cost us about 8 minutes in our time (even though we'd solved the room, they took off the 8 minutes it took for him to walk us through what clues we found and in what order and then to redo the one lock). Super fun, challenging & exceeded expectations. You may not know it yet, but you want to do this. My wife and I and 2 kids (12yr & 10yr) had a fantastic time in the '20,000 leaks' room. It was inclusive enough for the kids and was a great way to have fun as a fam - We all immediately wanted to go through more rooms. The staff were great and very accommodating. The setting (the activity room and also the waiting area) was engaging and well thought out - it made the event very fun. It was fun to laugh and see each person put effort into solving the clues to move ahead. I could see how this would be a fantastic team building activity for a business or leadership team. I can't recommend it highly enough - skip the movie and spend 1-2 hours here for great fun. read more

This place is awesome. No corners cut when setting it up! John, the owner, was so great to work with. I brought a group of 24 students for a school outing and he could not have been more accommodating. The 16-18 year olds who did all 4 rooms loved it. It was challenging enough not to be boring but not so hard that they didn't enjoy the challenge. I would recommend this experience for anyone who wants to do something different for a date night, a birthday party or even for a work outing. I've noticed this new trend sweeping across the nation, and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't peaking my interests. So, House of Conundrum it was and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! To keep it short, the greeting and set-up staff were kind, encouraging, fun and extremely helpful along the way! The room itself was smaller than I expected, but it was packed full of mental obstacles that made you forget about the size and only think of the task at hand and that dang clock that wouldn't stop counting down. My one and only piece of constructive criticism would be in the game design we tried - there was one element where even looking back, there was no connection whatsoever to the next step. Which, had we not had some direction, we never would have figured out (where the others there was something that tied it to the next element, even if we didn't see it right away :) ) Overall, an absolute must!
