Last weekend I stopped by on a whim and left with a bunch of stuff (like always). You will also find tarot cards, sage for clearing, sounds bowls, tuning forks, candles, incense. I went to look for a citrine sphere and found the perfect one. Your purchase is placed in a large sound bowl, and they cleanse your purchase for you. What a perfect touch. They also have you pick a spiritual card, giving you the meaning of the card. And asked if I wanted to write a wish on a piece of paper that is put into a box awaiting the next full moon. Now that I know this store is here, I'll stop by every time I'm in the area. I cant believe that January has just FLOWN by and we are already a few days in to february!!! I always love the feeling I get as soon as I step in to the store. The last time we were here, we were helped by Art who was sooooooo awesome. The candles here are original and their own (created by Keoki, the owner!!)!!!! I love how there is a different candle for however you're feeling and there are even candles with crystals/gemstones. My ongoing love affair with Turkey led me to this place. Ever since my first trip to Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Izmir in 2008, I subconsciously seek out semblances of Turkey-- the language, food, music, even travel pics on SM. One unmistakeable trinket from the Mediterranean region is the Nazar Boncuk, also known as "Evil Eye". You can find it hanging on business walls, pinned on shirts or backpacks, as jewelry adornments, even in soaps and aromatherapy items. I had plans to celebrate my "Fab 40" birthday this weekend at Istanbul restaurant and was searching for favors. A pic of the Nazar Bonjuk caught my eye in the WOW collection and I made a beeline to check it out. Paid parking is the same lot as Big City Diner and Happy Day, but park on the Diamond Head side closer to 12th Ave Grill. The store is ground floor. Be aware of homeless and transient presence. Do not leave valuables in your car. Nicole was very helpful and introduced me to the array of evil eye items, Sage, Palo Santo, and jewelry. I learned a lot about what each sage represents, and even a little bit about crystals. They also do psychic readings and can customize jewelry for you. I chose the heart Nazar Bonjuk and will use twine to wrap my dessert favors. It is an excellent symbol for protection and safety, esp during these COVID times. I attempted to purchase a gift certificate for a tarot reading for a friend's birthday. I requested an email or text but was told it had to be sent via post office. I texted my address but didn't realize I had made a typo. I waited five weeks, checking the mail every day. Telling my friend her gift was coming. I called House of Intention and they provided a tracking number saying it was sent. My post office then informed me it was sent to the wrong PO Box. I asked HOI to void that certificate and issue a new one. They refused. My typo cost me $80. It's ridiculous in 2025 the company cannot use email for a gift certificate and has to send it via postal service and that should have been a red flag when they refused to do this. Either way, the rudeness of not just voiding the gift certificate and remitting a new number to me is downright bad business and extremely rude, not to mention bordering on robbery. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and will be looking into council to take them to small claims court. read more

Went to the psychic fair today for a massage! It was fabulous. John does a terrific job. I just love a good fifteen minute stint. The energy of the shop was great, sometimes when I'm in a place where there's too much energy it gets dizzying, but not here ...all clear. Now I can bring my friend who also gets dizzy at certain psychic shops. I like that they charge up whatever you buy in their bowl thingy and give you a card almost like a reading. The walls are lined with a few shelves with his famous scented candles and sprays as well as other items for those looking to start or continue on their spiritual journey. From tarot cards, notebooks, reading material, crystals, and even sound bowls; it was a little overwhelming if you don't know what you're looking for. Thankfully the kind woman working that day was extremely helpful with fielding what seemed like a never ending list of questions that I had. Very informative, knowledgeable, and passionate about helping others also on their spiritual journey, I left feeling more informed, and confident that I made the right choice in visiting. I left with a gratitude candle (limited release just for the holidays), and a few sprays. The sprays are light, crisp, and clean smelling that I'll often spray throughout my room and home when I'm working.
