But I do remember everything went smoothly and the bride agreed that she was good to work with. Fast-forward to 2010. I saw Alice speak at a Wednesday Night Workshop infamously hosted by The Wedding Cafe. There was something very personal and comforting about her and they way she said she runs her ceremonies. After going to several (4 or 5) bridal expos and doing lots of research on officiants, I was frustrated. While most of them have relatively good reviews, they all seem to also have one or two stray bad reviews. "He showed up late." "He was less than personable." "He yelled at my wedding party." For my wedding, even one bad review of 100 was not sitting well with me. So I looked up Alice. I didn't originally look her up, because my friend told me she thought she paid Alice $1000 to do her wedding. That was a bit above my budget. But I was pleasantly surprised to find out the ceremony was just $200 and that she would meet with us beforehand. You gather just from browsing her website that she is extremely busy. Extremely. She has several different projects and many, many service offerings to choose from. She won't even confirm a wedding date until four months prior, but you can still hold a date and cross your fingers. Nearly a year before mine, I reserved her. And then just hoped. Lucky for me, we got confirmed a few days before the 4 month mark. Marie-Jose confirmed everything with me over email and we set a date to meet Alice before the wedding. When we met her, we knew she was perfect for us. My husband, who didn't care so much for the details of planning, loved her instantly. We're fun, happy go lucky people. Alice is too. She made us feel so comfortable, it was like we were old friends. I get the feeling she tailors the mood around your personality. When our wedding day came, Alice was there on time as far as I know and perfectly professional. Our ceremony was perfectly done and she talked everyone discreetly through what they needed to do without anyone ever really knowing. I only know this because my photographer caught a shot of Alice whispering to the Best Man during the ceremony, giving him instructions, while my groom and I were doing something else that had our guests's attention. For a cute little person, she projects her voice well. We loved having her with us on our special day. And as our wedding day approached, we started to worry that we were going to end up at our ceremony completely unprepared. Do we face each other the whole time? Do we hold our hands a certain way? What's a lei ceremony? What if our guests stay standing after the processional is over? What microphones should we ask the hotel to provide us? What if...etc. etc. But after my husband and I spoke with Reverend Alice, we realized we were in great hands. She told us exactly what to expect during our ceremony, and assured us that she would be there to guide us if we ever needed it. And whenever we had a question, she always answered it promptly--which is something every bride-to-be can definitely appreciate! Our ceremony went exactly the way Reverend Alice said it would, and whenever we needed some help somewhere, she was there for us. For instance, I got pretty emotional after I hugged my father at the end of the aisle, and I could feel my eyes on the verge of turning into waterfalls. I was like, "Oh no...I'm going to lose it right in front of everyone!" But then I heard Reverend Alice telling me to breathe, and after a few giant gulps of oxygen, I felt much more relaxed and was able to say my vows without a single tear in my eyes. As for the ceremony, I think Reverend Alice did a really, really wonderful job--as did many of my guests who actually came up to me afterwards and raved about how much they enjoyed the way she officiated my wedding. She kept her statements brief, but everything she said was sincere and meaningful. Although my husband and I weren't exactly having the easiest time planning our wedding, the one thing we weren't worried about was whether our ceremony would be a success. We knew it would be great, but it instead turned out to be perfect. And really, it's all thanks to Reverend Alice.

So...Sedona is open like the phoenix rising from the ashes! They opened in December 2025 with different hours. Sedona has a new owner and an employee from the old store. Sedona still offers many selections of crystals, metaphysical statues, jewelry and alike. The store is very different but the same. Not open Monday or Tuesday but rest of days from 11am to 5pm or 7pm. Brings back memories from days when they were once in Ward...but it's a different store now. Same super friendly staff. Wonderful selection of bracelets. Lotsa open space. Maybe a little pricier but items are unique! Located across from Pyramids. Please pay the store a visit!
