They stock virtually everything a man might need from head to toe. And what's more? All of it is tasteful, stylish, and comfortable. The phrase "well-curated" was invented to describe this place. Even the music they are playing is well-curated. Plus, the people are nice, there's a tiny Bernie figurine overseeing the return policy, and the sign outside says it's time for bourbon and sweatpants. I'm glad to see the owner was so responsive to the racist experience another reviewer had. Plus, the hours are very generous- they open at 10 AM when many other women's clothing stores don't open until noon.

The café appears to have a very small food selection as well but I didn't order from it so don't take my word for it. The space doubles as a design gallery, with art pieces, home decor, etc. for sale. The emphasis on design is apparent before you even step inside. An old-time pushcart propping up a "Welcome" sign catches your eye from the street so you know you're in the right place, which was helpful because the shop is a bit off the beaten path (although not at all hard to find if armed with the address). The site seems to have been chosen specifically for its industrial feel, but there is no trace of coldness from what used to be a factory (and before that, about 100 years ago, a horse stable) The space has a kind of country farmhouse feel to it, with decorative scarves hanging from the brick walls and sponge-painted planks of wood decorating the front-of-house coffee bar. I talked to the manager (Fumio Tashiro, a very hospitable man), who said the café will change ownership in July, and an entirely new drink menu will be rolled out. He mentioned he will still be here, and I plan to come back then and make sure things haven't changed too much, as I really like it the way it is now!

I was especially pleased that, in response to my inquiry about a certain book, the salesperson pointed me directly to a section of the store dedicated to Factory Records. Fair prices and knowledgeable staff. The only negative for me is that there was too much I was interested in!
