What a fun, hidden gem. I found myself kid-free for the upcoming Spring Break so I decided to check it out. I'm not a huge reader (mom life, falling asleep while reading). When I opened the door, the smell of books greeted me. It was extremely cozy inside. I walked through and was getting ready to leave but Nikki, the owner, stopped me and thanked me for coming in. How personable and welcoming she is, I decided "go for it. Buy some books!". So I did. The inventory here, I imagine, revolves pretty quickly. Prices are awesome & definitely competitive to what you'd find elsewhere. Highly recommend for the bookish community! I bought a few books for me to read more

I participated in the Houston Book Crawl and wanted to check out this bookstore. I had no idea about this place but I'm so glad they're a part of this community event. I was their first participant and Ms. Nikki made me feel so welcomed. I love how the bookshelves are arranged with the new books in front and as you walk through the building they're sectioned off with various fiction, sci-fi, nonfiction, children's, religion, and suspense books. Plus they have a sign that tells you the prices for used hardback and paperback books. The new books are pricier but I know they're worth it at least for me. This was a real treat to check out. read more

This book lovers dream is tucked away in an industrial looking business park. I dare you not to say WOW when you step inside! There are books as far as the eye can see and seemingly up to the ceiling. There is a huge selection of just about every genre you can think of for used books. And there are new books available as well. I was very impressed by the like-new copies of some current NY Times bestsellers being on the shelves like Iron Flame!! Our group got some great deals. I don't know if anyone else can beat these prices. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and she was incredibly nice and helpful during our visit. I'm looking forward to going back! read more

My wife and I love visiting local small businesses which are independently owned and operated so that we can help the community support them. Nothing is more satisfying than to spend your hard earned money with a small business owner who appreciates you and your time visiting them and supporting them - I repeat, there i nothing more satisfying. We love books, especially from businesses such as Houston Book Warehouse. The moment we walked in, the very nice owner named Nkechi, greeted us and offered a big 'ol genuine smile. We immediately felt welcomed and we began looking up and down, left and right at the immense selection of books Nkechi had for sale. Her selections were neatly categorized and displayed which made it very easy to go up and down the aisles browsing through the incredible deals on all the books and some were hard to find collectibles that she offered at very fair asking prices. We made our selections and decided to buy more books and items to increase the tab so that we could help support this wonderful bookstore and its warm & kind owner. She realized quickly what we were attempting that she started to get emotional because she appreciated our efforts. I assured her that we wanted these books and in fact it was an honor to support good businesses such as hers and that she deserved our business because we too, being small business owners, we know that every dollar we earn counts. So with that being said, we bought some really great books that will be great to read and learn from. However, the most satisfying part of it was knowing the owner appreciated us spending our hard-earned money with her. We even bought an incredibly old book that was originally printed during the American Revolution era (you can see it in my photo I am adding to her business page where even my two cats appreciated the old book we bought from Nkechi) She has a GREAT bookstore and she 100% should deserve to earn your business. Coming into the password-protected gate, I did not know what to expect from my book club's monthly meet-up. Boy! Was I in for a pleasant surprise! This book warehouse feels like a library kids' dream! The way that the books dominate the space in the most endearing ways feels like a Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshall's throuple that lovingly came together to battle Barnes & Noble and Half-Priced Books-- in other words, this was discount bookstore heaven! Ms. Lydia was so gracious and welcoming, sharing with us her background in Marketing and the origins of the bookstore warehouse. With high ceilings, expansive bookshelves categorized so efficiently, it makes it very easy to find whatever you are looking for. There are even some toys for the little ones and DVDs for those who are still holding on to vestiges of the past. This warehouse has a literary gift for all. I certainly hope that, though tucked away in a nondescript storage unit lot (?), it finds the foot traffic it most certainly deserves. read more

Amazing plethora of used books in a warehouse setting. The owner will purchase your books for cash and sell you her books. Small size paperbacks are three dollars. Large paperbacks are 4 dollars. Hard Cover books are 5 dollars. Some other books are individually priced. There are some newer books priced a little higher. We found a nice selection to take home. We'll be back. read more

Wowza! I visited this Black female owned gem for the first time and met the personable and welcoming owner, Nikki. I told her I couldn't believe I'd just heard of her warehouse which celebrated their 2nd year anniversary. She said, " I forgive you." Located in the new spacious business park located on Kieth Harrow across from Wilson Elementary. Once you enter the warehouse, you'll be amazed at the huge selection and variety of books for all ages. Book genre titles are located all along the walls. The budget friendly prices accommodate even the frugal shoppers: $3 small paperbacks, $4 large paperbacks, and $5 hard cover books. Ample free parking in front of bookstore. Small businesses are the backbone of our community. I applaud Nikki. She showcases a young female creative jewelry designer, @itsmeloly, in her warehouse with a display located at the register with the cutest jewelry bookmark collection. This lovely bookstore is such a hidden gem! I found the owner on a Facebook marketplace ad, and she had several books I wanted! It's an absolutely beautiful little store! It's tucked away in a small warehouse area and so it's a bit hard to just stumble upon it, but so worth the stop! The owner is absolutely lovely and she plays some really nice music! It's nice and quiet in here for you to curl up on her couch and read a book or two and it's well decorated! I brought my sister to come check it out and she also loved it!! She had lots and lots of options yall should come check her out and shop local! She has great books at a great price! read more

Greeted the moment we walked in. We got told and shown where the price list is. Unless otherwise marked books are flat priced depending upon type. Nothing I saw was more than $5!!!
