It's so easy to spend hours upon hours diving into the many choices of learning and teaching material. With so many options - you're likely only going to need to stop one place! In the event you get confused, overwhelmed, or just don't know where to begin - the staff are so knowledgeable it's not even funny. I've asked many questions on this journey and not once have they not been able to point me in the right direction or give an educated recommendation. Sometimes though, you may need to take that with a grain of salt, because as with most things, folks have preferences. From manipulatives to textbooks and supplemental resources and games - you really can find it all here. The best part is that when you move on to the next phase in your homeschooling journey - you can sell the books right back! Granted it won't be what you originally paid for it, but you can certainly reduce your OOP expenses in the process and use that towards your next step/curriculum. The reason for the lack of a 5th star and really my only con can be chalked up to one of the younger staff members. I've had the displeasure of dealing with a very sarcastic and rude male staff member to the point that I've had to return the same attitude just to get through the experience. Yes, ignorance exists, but when you have so many people cross your path in one day - I'd highly recommend softening your tone a bit and be appreciative that in the world of Amazon and the World Wide Web that we still choose to support your establishment. My main gripe is that they overstock like crazy. It gives me so much anxiety to walk around in there. You can barely walk through the "aisles", making it difficult for me to enjoy shopping. I brought my mom there one time and as we're walking around she said she felt suffocated. I was like "IT'S NOT JUST ME!!" I once pulled into the parking lot to shop, and then I saw the window crowded with everything I ended up just leaving. I REALLY want to like this place, I just can't get over the fact that it is just so overstocked. On the particular night that my wife and friends visited, the shop was hosting a local artist and his paintings. There were champaign, cheese, fruits and coffee for shoppers. One of the coolest things I came across was furniture that had been used on movie sets. The workers were very friendly. When they saw us carrying items, they would tag it with our name and bring it to the check out counter so we didn't need to carry it while we browsed. I also appreciated that they have a small eating area on-site. After hours of shopping and exploring, it's nice to be able to grab a bite without leaving the building.
