The outcome was great. Thanks again Brandon, it was a pleasure to work with you.

She also couldn't be troubled to negotiate on my behalf to encourage bank (estate sale) to take my offer which was $45,000 more than cash offer. Or even ask bank to give me opportunity to provide higher cash offer which she knew was an option for me. She absolutely cost me house I had been searching for for over two years while simultaneously not getting her client (the estate) the highest offer. And shout out to Chase bank. If you use them to handle your estate, their only priority is to get a cash offer to make things easy for themselves. Getting an extra 25% for estate turned out to be unimportant to bank and this realtor.

But Allison Gamel at RE/MAX Plus made the entire process as easy (and fun) as it could be given the circumstances. She's open, friendly, communicative, and honest, pointing out potential issues with the various houses we looked at... something I particularly appreciated since I couldn't see the houses in person. She worked her butt off for us, responding to calls, emails, and texts at all hours of the day, all days of the week. It was an absolute pleasure working with her, and when my wife and I eventually go to sell our home and find our next one, we will most certainly be giving Allison Gamel ring.

I think a lot has changed, but when I was first moving in, their office was situation directly on Park. I met with the manager, went through a pretty seamless approval process, picked out my unit, and moved in within the next few weeks. My studio was *charming* and *adorable* (okay, small) but it truly checked all the boxes for a 20 something living on her own for the first time! It WAS actually larger than any other studio I looked at, super clean, the kitchen space was totally separated by a wall, and there was a really nice bed nook. I paid ~$600/month, though I am sure prices have gone up since then. I felt that price was super reasonable for the ease of calling maintenance (I would do just about anything to be able to "call maintenance" now that I am a homeowner. It me. I am "maintenance...") a nice parking lot onsite, and the LOCATION. Right on Meigs between East and Park. It was flawless. I look back on my time renting with Hawkeye with a lot of nostalgia and happiness. There were no issues upon move out. I received my security deposit in a timely manner and I don't think they ever even showed my unit while I was still living there. If you're looking for dependable properties that are well maintained, Hawkeye has some GEMS and you'll be in good hands!

The ONLY downside is that only a select few homes in this location have washer and dryer hook ups. They do not all have them and there is no laundry facility on site. There is a laundry mat around the corner so it's all good, but it would be convenient to have one on site.
