When we arrived, we found well manicured hills of grass and trees, and a large number of picnic tables that were empty and available for us to use. And even better, we were able to park right on the side of the road, 100 or so feet from the tables. Does a picnic on a blanket seem more appealing to you? There was ample space to spread out on the side of a gently sloping hill too. We could also see a lovely lake with paddle boats, and from the other reviews, it looks like there are more amenities as well, including an ice rink and putt putt. At the same time, this park seemed old, yet very well taken care of. The large stone markets at the park's entrances made the impression that we were entering a space that a lot of thought and time had been put into. Unfortunately, just after finishing our meal the rain started falling -- or fortunately it didn't start before we were done, I suppose we could say. So we didn't get to explore this more. Wheeling, though, is the halfway point between my family and my brother-in-law's, so I anticipate we will be meeting here more in the future. I very much hope we come back to this park.

Not sure how well lit their parking lot would be at night and you may feel a little nervous until you get inside. The interior is a much larger space than I thought it looked from the exterior. I believe there are two break rooms so you could be breaking next door to another group at the same time. It's partitioned very well so you shouldn't see their debris flying into your space but you will likely hear their "rage" (laughter and breaking). The owner was super nice and a great conversationalist. She provided us a music genre of our choice in our room and an extra bonus box of beer bottles. She also provided us with gloves and a face shield for safety. My reservation was for a whole hour but smashing 3 boxes of items and chatting with the owner might have only taken us 25 mins. She offered us more smashables for very reasonable prices but as middle aged adults we assumed our throwing arms might be sore in the a.m. It was so fun and we laughed a lot together. Great short little date. I brought home a Santa tea cup as a souvenir from our box. Didn't have the heart to smash him and his reindeers. Overall, GREAT experience. I wish this business well. Even as a very, very beginner golfer, I had fun with the simulators. The vibe was very laid back, the staff was super helpful, and the food was tasty! The golf zone technology seems like it would be really helpful practice if you're a regular golfer, particularly if you want to work on your swing when the weather's not cooperating (thanks Pittsburgh). But it's also a great choice for a chill night out with your friends, or I could even see it being a fun date night. So glad I tagged along!

The simulators here are by a company called "golf zone" - and no one else in Pittsburgh has them. I discovered golf zone at golf lounge when I was in DC and was amazed. If golf zone is PS6 then It makes other golf simulators look like Atari. Anyway yeah check this place out. It's 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh with no traffic but it's worth it if you want to play next level simulator golf with your buddies or even alone to practice your game.

There's a picnic table under a tree and a fountain to fill water bowls. I just wish I had known about it sooner. There are only 2 problems that I can see. They need to build a set of steps from the road to the enclosures. It's a small hill but it's very steep and if the grass is damp it's very hard to get up and down without falling. The other thing is I wish there was a port a john closer. Other than that my dog and I are loving it. Thank you Washington Park.

The trees and trails meandering throughout the Park make for a relaxing walk in the woods. The pool and ball fields provide plenty of recreational activity opportunity.
