Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Stacy and the entire team at the Holliday Inn Pet Resort. We initially planned on boarding our dog locally as the place we were staying in Walker, CA didn't allow large dogs. This would have meant boarding him from Friday mid day until Thursday morning at a minimum, even though we'd only be in Walker from Sunday to Wednesday. Doing some research, we found the Howliday Inn, and the reviews were great and it seemed like we should check it out. Having planned a "pre-run" about 5 weeks before, we asked if we could get a schedule a visit, and Stacy set it up for us to meet with Hanna. We had Huey with us and he was pretty exhausted as it had been a long drive from Victorville, CA to Gardnerville, NV. He was ready to stay then, but we still needed to get vaccine records and paperwork sorted. But we got a tour and confirmed it was better than the online pictures. 5 weeks later we dropped off Huey with Hanna, and once we got to our destination, logged into their website and checked out the video feed. He was already out with his new friend Hanna and the other large dogs. We checked in a few minutes on Monday and Tuesday and we could see him getting more comfortable and less anxious about being there and looking like he was doing great. Each day we also got a few pictures and texts from Stacy that he was doing good. On pickup day we got stuck in traffic and called saying we might be late but we were still on time before noon to 2p naps for the pups. When we arrived Huey was panting and a little damp, because they had already gotten pools out, but remembered that he liked running through sprinklers, so they had set some up, and he was getting the other dogs to run through the sprinklers with him. Which was really great, because he slept most of the ride to Victorville, which allowed us to get home much faster than the previous trips in either direction. My dog got homesick when I left and wouldn't eat for a few days and Stacy went out and spent her OWN money on 4 types of foods and treats to get my pup to eat. We just had our first visit at the Howliday Inn! We were so happy with our stay. Our poodle is only 3 pounds and we were very scared to leave her for a couple days. I recently booked a 3 night stay for my 2 bullmastiffs. In the past, at different boarding facilities, boarding has been stressful and when picking up the pups they would always be pulling to get out the door and back into the car. Every time I picked them up it was almost like they were in a kennel to be watched and rather than interacted with. Completely different experience with Howliday Inn. My pups had a blast and kept running back to the door to get into the play area. The staff was incredibly friendly and spent time with my dogs and even went above and beyond to send me pictures and updates. We moved to the area and were concerned about finding day care dog boarding for our min pin Sami. Reviews looked good so I stopped in first to talk.... Met Stacy and we so very impressed with her and her staff. She greeted owners like friends as they came in to pick up and drop off their dogs. She'd greet the dogs with hugs and it was obvious she had a great rapport with pets and owners. I dropped off my two senior dogs on May 12th for a two night stay. I included enough individually packed special food for four meals. I had also advised earlier that because one dog was almost completely blind, I didn't want either of them included in any daycare festivities or any contact with other dogs. The first morning I received a video from Stacy showing both my dogs being included with the other dogs in day care. She later apologized for the slip up. Upon returning home both dogs had severe diarrhea which indicated to me they didn't get their special food. Also, one of the dogs was without her collar. I immediately notified Stacy and said she would put it in the mail "straight away". Over a week later I notified her that I still hadn't received it. She advised that she had sent it and that it should arrive the following week. It's now June 6th and I still haven't received the collar. I wouldn't trust this woman as far as I could see her. read more

We have taken our dog there twice and he absolutely loves it. He actually pouts when he can't go. He loves playing with all the dogs. They have cameras so you can check in with your dog. The Facility is Spotless with no Oder at all both of my Dogs spent a weekend there. The Communication was excellent when I called to check on them. We were visiting family for a week in Gardnerville and on the 2 days we were going to be skiing all day we didn't want to leave our pup alone all day so we made an appointment for a meet and greet at howliday inn and boy are we so glad we did. The first day we left him for an hour to see how he'd do. Our pup has major separation anxiety but after his second full day he finally broke out of his shell. I know my goldendoodle is picky when it comes to playing with other dogs, she likes most, others she let's them know by her growl, she never bites, she was going here for years no problem, then they say they have to seperate her and put her in the kennel, okay, luckily with my job I was able to take her with me to work which was great! After a few years later thought I would give this place another try so I dropped off my dog for a little while, asked if they could take her out there with the other dogs and they said yes, I called later to see how it was going, and they said they had to bring my dog in cause she got into it with another dog, okay, again, my dog would never bite and didnt,, I asked, if she could be given a second chance, maybe put the othe dog in the next time, all I'm saying. I have given this place alot of money, and my dog is a goldendoodle who is known not to be an aggressive dog, shes a good girl, they could of tried a little harder to work with her. read more

I adopted a young dog from Guatemala. She was very shy and it was difficult to meet other dogs while we would be out for a walk. A few times she was attacked by other dogs while walking so that wasn't ideal. I made an appt at Howliday Inn to check them out and see if it would be a good fit for my dog. Stacy was wonderful! I explained the situation and agreed to bring her for a 2 hour "meet and greet". It took a full hour for my girl to willingly approach Stacy. However, Stacy has tremendous patience! I enrolled my girl and it was the best thing for her! Now she loves going to "play" and is as happy as can be! She also is much more outgoing. I get so excited when my mom and dad bring me to Howliday for an overnight camp out. From the moment I walk in, all three of us get hugs and kisses from Stacy, the owner. Once I get back with my buddies, I get to go outside to play or sometimes play inside with my smaller buddies. I was surprised, it in a small shopping center, but looks are deceiving, I brought my dog since they advertised no cage, they evaluated her to make sure she was as dog and people friendly as I said. The owner is wonderful with the dogs and their owners. My dog plays and uses up her energy and has lots of energy since she just a year and half. the place is very clean and there are monitors to watch the dogs play. They have a section for small dogs and one for large dogs. Also they have both inside and outside play. I only go half day but it is defiantly worth the money I pay. Still in love with this place! Just left my dog with Stacy for over a week while away on vacation. It was a relief to know he was safe, well loved, and having a blast while we were away. I have to say I've been super scared of letting my dogs go to doggy daycare as they are my fur babies. All the places that I looked at don't have places to put dogs that don't like other dogs which is what I have. Stacy's facilities have a number of large walled off areas where your dogs can stay and feel at home without having the stress of being around other dogs. I highly recommend the Howliday Inn for both doggie day-care and boarding. I have been taking my dog there for day-care once a week for several months and have used them for vacation boarding once. Our dogs are like our kids - we all know that. When we have to go somewhere and leave them behind we want to make sure they are safe, happy, and cared for. Howliday Inn Pet Resort is parked in a small commercial storefront shared by the Gardnerville post office and a restaurant off 395. I recently took a five day trip and had to find a place for our dog to stay. Since it was close to where I lived I gave them a try and boy am I glad I did. It may not look like much but they really have it all down - kennels, pens, play areas, outside areas, 24 hour staff, even webcams so you can keep an eye on your best friend from afar. They pay attention to which dogs get together and which ones don't, give them repeated times during the day to do their business, and more than once I saw the staff on the webcams just hanging out with my dog and giving him love. They even had my dog paired with another buddy that became his "pen pal." When I picked him up he was his happy, playful self and obviously had a great time. They even have email updates for billing, scheduling, and reminders. Well thought out, earned my trust, and highly recommended for that perfect no-worry solution to what to do with the dog when you can't include them.
