I had searched through Yelp and had set up three estimate appointments with split air conditioner…read morecompanies, one of which was with Cooling Tower. I wanted to cool a single large area with a cathedral ceiling and the first two company estimators walked through the area and checked the outside and gave a rough estimate with a BTU size for the air conditioner. They both took about five minutes each to give their quotes. No measurements or calculations, just an "eyeball" estimate. When Spencer Machida from Cooling Tower came he used a laser measuring device and a tablet to not only draw a floor plan with square footage but also calculated how many BTU's would be needed. He took into account the high ceiling and the square footage and gave me a quote for the whole job with a cost breakdown for the air conditioning unit and the materials needed and labor. His quote came in not only lower than the other two companies but he emailed me the cost breakdown and the pictures of how the outside of my townhouse would look with the installation of the piping and condenser. I was able to print these out and bring them to my townhouse association board meeting and got instant approval, since they needed those specs for their approval. I was able to schedule an appointment for installation with Spencer the next day and he installed the system himself the next week. One of the townhouse owners at the board meeting had been getting quotes for a split air system himself and I gave him Spencer's number. When I called Spencer the next day to schedule my installation, he said he was coming up later to do a estimate quote with the same owner. Later when he was doing the installation at our house, he said the other owner wanted to go with their company and was going to schedule an installation after he got solar panels installed first. He said the other owner decided to go with three bedrooms instead of his initial two. I guess the estimate quote Spencer gave him was much better than the other companies. Anyway now I am all set for the coming sweltering hot summer! I only wish I had done this years ago. My wife said I am so spoiled now that I want it on all the time. It is supposed to be good on electricity and I will find out the next electric bill. I very, very highly recommend Cooling Tower and Spencer Machida for a split air system. This office space complex had a complete remodel over the last year. The thought to detail is just amazing. They have gyms, Cafe's over looking the lobby, daycare for its tenants, stunning seating areas and a beautiful lobby with comfortable and stylish furniture. I also like the touch feature on the big screen office listing, as you enter the lobby. I almost wish that they would rent out condo spaces. My only concern is the parking. I have gotten stuck in the lot, when the ticket machine doesn't recognize my stamped ticket. Unfortunately, the response from the call button was really challenging. So, Caprock I hope you can look into that issue. But, other than that this place is just gorgeous and I had to bring attention to it for businesses that may be looking for a place to rent in a high traffic area like Bethesda, Maryland.

The office spaces are beautifully kept, and there are plenty of options for additional meeting space and storage. The kitchens are kept clean and have a selection of coffees and teas and even an ice machine. There are additional perks like Friday morning bagels, a fitness center, bike storage, and massage chairs. The location is also a benefit as it is close to many restaurants and hotels and not too far from several Metro stations. We highly recommend renting in their spaces!

Management REFUSED to call us back to discuss an installation issue…read more The facts. We were (until now) a five-year customer. One of their service staff came out due to an issue and recommended we install a replacement AC unit. OK. It was scheduled promptly, though there was an error in the quote. Came out on Friday and replaced the unit. Took 8 hours for a condo unit install. No one bothered to warn us of the time required. It was installed wrong and the unit did not work the next day. We called the answering service and left a voice message with a person, but no callback for days. Called again, and finally, a callback. An exceptional employee came out immediately the next day and properly diagnosed the installation problem. Another 3 hours of my time. I asked said employee (who called me the next day to confirm all was working properly), and I requested she ask the manager to call me to understand why the issue of an improper installation and the lack of a timely response. After one week no callback. When I did get one today, it was by the office manager to say the Ops manager had been out sick. I asked why the owner could not call, as they promote it being a family business. Was told they don't do that. Well, we will now switch out the service contract from them. All for the sake of a 5 minute phone call. Who cares? Not the owners!
