Most recently, Ginger P. made getting a car loan incredibly smooth! She included affordable gap insurance and disability coverage. Ginger even approved me for a low-interest credit card. This let me transfer higher debt to lower my monthly payments. GUCU and Ginger care about my overall financial health. I highly recommend them!

This is a former employee review:…read more The lack of simple respect, token courtesy, or even meager professionalism is utterly astounding. For starters, the pay is insulting. Second, there are NO BENEFITS to working here. NONE! Not even Federally mandated health insurance for companies its size. I was told during hiring process that they are willfully and deliberately thumbing their noses at the Federal mandate on insurance. Also, there is no 401k, no Child Care or Medical reimbursement plans, no vacation days (you accrue up to 5 sick days) and only 6 holidays off (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, July 4, Memorial Day, and Labor Day). There is one executive, who has been there for many years, is a known sore spot amongst everyone (including owners), and has the most GRATING personality known to man. This person raised a big stink over being put in the CC field of an email instead of the TO field when the email really wasn't for her. I was a salaried employee and got yelled at by this person for showing up to work 10 minutes early (I don't mean TALKED TO, I literally mean YELLED AT). Since the owners know of this person's behavior, they obviously condone it, and it makes for intriguing work days when you have to cross this person's path. Speaking of owners, one of the owners is a uber-micromanager and control freak on steroids that is jacked up on caffeine. This causes even the simplest of tasks to become chores of maintaining sanity. In addition he will come right at you and insult you about your abilities with no basis for his comments. (In other words, the insults aren't derived from any job based or performance based sources). He has a twisted view on vendor relations which only complicates your job immeasurably. My favorite quote from him regarding vendors (who as a reminder are people you are PAYING to do a job for you - in other words, you are the customer): "It is our job to make them (the vendor) look good". (That's like saying that it's your job as a customer to make Wal-Mart look good, or GM, or Kroger, etc...) He keeps screaming about being "proactive" about things, yet any attempts to do so are met with a tone deaf ear, a wall of resistance, and even threats of maintaining your job there. Working there definitely stifles one's thinking and breaks your spirit in the process. They have run off several employees from my department in the last year alone, including 2 managers and at least 2 department personnel (The entire department is a manager and 2 subordinates. You do the math). They guy who hired me was there for only a month prior. He left 2 months after I joined. There is nobody who can stand to put up with what you have to deal with at this company. Management is not very understanding or cooperative. After some recent ice storms, they wanted to charge me against my PTO time (of which you only get 5 days a year) because the office opened at noon on the last day, but nobody told a certain segment of the office personnel (me included) that the office was indeed open. It took two days of pleading my case and showing txt messages to not be charged my PTO time (or go unpaid). It wound up being that my boss freely admitted that he deliberately did not tell me because he himself didn't want to come in - and they wanted to charge my PTO for that! On a particular project, my boss and I had differences of opinion of how to resolve an issue for another manager. My way was 30 minutes, and got the machine back to user very quickly. His way was 1-2 days. He never flat out said that I had to do it his way. In fact, his last words on the issues was as follows: "It's your call". The next day I was written up for insubordination. As it stands, my direct boss (referenced in above instances) was the owner's son (he took over after the gent who hired me left). Both will look to somehow make it so that you are wrong when they themselves are wrong. This makes for an incredibly stressful environment, and you aren't even adequately compensated to take such abuse.
