No one seems to know what they are doing. My bank rep tries to cover up by being stunningly rude. So okay, I thought, I'll go to a different bank. Barclays has a legal obligation to move all my automatic payments to the new bank. They are refusing to do so. Either they are rude or they are evasive. The only detailed information I have gotten has to do with closing my account, which would require me to transfer everything myself. I got this information in a phone call from the bank manager, who seemed upset only by the fact that I had obtained her contact info. My advice? Stay away from Barclays. Just go somewhere else. Many French banks welcome Anglophones, while Barclays seems to be trying to chase us away.

Unable to have access to my online accounts after tons of mailed codes and SMS and now they are asking me 13 euros to have one statement paper copy. More over for years they kept charging me dubious fees. Choose any other bank but this crooked one. They will give you a nervous breakdown.

0 stars would be generous…read more My experience with HSBC France has been atrocious: * Online portal not working * Faulty and absurd password systems * Unfriendly and unhelpful customer service * Financial statements that have disappeared entirely * HSBC contacts simply not showing up for scheduled calls I am accountable for not doing my own research before signing-up with them and am living with the results until I can close my account ASAP. I hope those of you who were smart enough to research beforehand can benefit from my review.
