YOU HAVE TO VISIT THIS PLACE & GET A TOUR FROM BEN! My parents were visiting from out of town and were told from relatives near and far to go to the Wisconsin ginseng farms, because spoiler, it's different than the ginseng that is sold in Asia. My mom called ahead of time to schedule a tour (which is free) and when we arrived, the parking lot was packed! I found that it was mostly due to employees, but the environment was very welcoming. The store has all their products and Ben met us promptly with all other workers asking if there was anything they could help us with. Once we were all introduced, we found that it was a private tour we'd be going on and that we'd take a drive to the actual farm area as well as manufacturing area. All i can say, was that the tour was 2 hours but didn't have a set schedule. We went and saw farmers picking the ginseng, a large amount of the sites, the washing area, and then packaging/back to the store. It was amazing and went by so fast. Ben was super knowledgeable and very willing to share all the information he had stored. He also mentioned that the recommended time to visit is the summer until the end of October, so we had just made it at the perfect time to see the most action! Definitely stop by here, take a look on amazon, or on their website to see the product, or just schedule a tour. Located in the heart of ginseng country (Marathon County, Wisconsin, U.S.A.), Hsu's Ginseng Enterprises, Inc. is the largest American Ginseng farm operation in the United States. Paul C. Hsu, the first Chinese grower in North America, has been growing the highest quality American Ginseng since 1974, and currently has over 1,000 acres of prime ginseng farmland available for cultivation. The corporation was originally founded as a mail order business and has since become an international enterprise. In 2011, our family's second generation was integrated into the company ensuring that we will continue to honor our tradition of growing the highest quality Wisconsin American Ginseng, while providing exceptional service to our customers around the world. Meet the Business Owner: Will H.

Will Hsu came back to the family business in 2011 by taking over for his father, Paul Hsu, founder of Hsu's Ginseng Enterprises. Will grew up in the family business and after high school in Wausau, he triple-majored during his undergraduate degree at UW-Madison, and eventually earned an MBA through Harvard University via a leadership program at General Mills. Will and his wife Jenny have two daughters (Scarlett and Jojo, age 6).

The FDA is a joke…read more The FDA will tell you that it's okay to take poisonous drugs, but will poo poo natural remedies, vitamins and supplements. The FDA is in the pocket of big pharma. I was at Hsu's last year and took a tour that was informative. This is a class operation. Many Asian people prefer American ginseng: and Hsu's has some of the best. I bought myself about 30 roots. I still have some left. When I run out, I will make the lengthy drive to procure some more. The ginseng from Hsu's is potent and healthful. Wisconsin is in that "sweet spot" for growing this amazing herb. If you find yourself in the Wausau area, you owe it to yourself to check this farm out. Check out their products and purchase what you need. Their ginseng will put some zip in your step.
