I only ordered a lemonade since I already had coffee earlier that day. But I will be back to try their coffee. If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would! We're visiting from California and stumbled upon this place and just wow. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment we walked in, the vibe was everything an aesthetic girly could ever want haha. It's cozy, charming, eclectic, creative and full of unique art that gives the space so much personality.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was phenomenal! The girls working were so patient and genuinely kind, taking the time to offer suggestions and make sure we got exactly what we'd enjoy. You can tell they care about both the food and the people they serve (such a rare find these days) ! We ordered the bacon burrito and the sweet potato & black bean burrito, and both were absolutely delicious. Fresh ingredients, amazing flavor, and simply presented. Pair that with two perfect lattes. Seriously, everything and everyone was incredible. If you're anywhere near here, definitely worth trying. This is hands-down one of the best coffee shop experiences we've ever had. read more

What a great shop! About as far from a Starbucks as imaginable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful old room with vintage stamped metal ceilings and walls. Old, creaky (and clean) hardwood floors. Big glass storefront looking out on the street. Chairs that appear rescued from an elementary school. Very eclectic decor , from mounted muskie to gnomes to plants[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Excellent coffee and baked goods. Reverse con panna made perfectly. A variety of burritos, quiche of the day and bagels as well. After underwhelming coffee and inedible waffle at a chain hotel free breakfast, this was a wonderful restart to my morning! Really friendly service. Ten minutes from Granite Peak. I've been looking for more locally owned coffee shops in Wausau and this fit the bill. I visited on a Saturday with a group of four and we were surprised to see it so busy. There were barely any seats available but we were able to grab one of the only larger tables. The menu consisted of several types of coffee and tea with a few food options. There were lots of unique flavor combinations and options. I can't remember the exact coffee I ordered, but it was a latte variation, and I also opted for the sausage burrito. Both took a few minutes to prepare and I was happy to see they were served with actual plate ware and a ceramic cup rather than disposables. The food and coffee were pretty good, but I wouldn't say the best I've ever had. I'll certainly be back to try more of their interesting looking flavors! read more

We loved this little coffee shop, which was right next to a craft brewery that we sadly did not have time to visit during our driveby. Excellent espresso drinks, evidently made with care. Ho, ho, ho, ha, heh, heh, Fantastic little shop/roastery. I have not tried any of the edible fare yet, but look forward to doing so on another trip through Wassau. If you're a coffee drinker, however, this place is 100% Smokin' Santa APPROVED! to get a darn fine cup o' mud. Of course, I tend to stay away from the earthiest of dark roasts. As with many shops they usually have 2 roasts brewed, a dark and a lighte roast. On our last trip one of the trio of owners (assuming it hasn't changed since early 2022 news reports) was serving me. When asked between the roasts, I responded with my taste preference and she just had me sample both of them. Now this may not seem like a big deal, but most big chain employees wouldn't even think to offer. Though I tend to prefer bigger medium/dark roasts, I found myself choosing the lighter roast on this day. Though I tend not to use them, and didn't on this day, the topic of flavors came up and Tucknee makes all their own (I pointed out that my local shop dropped ALL flavors except chocolate and homemade vanilla because "a coffee shop is about coffee"), so definitely big points there. They didn't have a lot of flavors, but as with my shop the star is the roasted coffee itself. Though I like to sample a variety of shops on my travels, its going to be very hard to want to venture into another Wassau area shop after this both aesthetically and business-model-wise immediately made me feel like my home shop. read more
