    Spider web! Auto belay

I had the opportunity to try this with great company. Rental rate for the harness and shoes is low cost but if you commitingnto a membership do consider acquiring your own gear. The courses get interesting from 5.4 challenge to 6.0. It was my first time in over a decade and I found my challenge level was somewhere between 5.7 and 5.8, with courses witn the finger grab mounts being the hardest -no finger muscles....gotta work that out at the gym somehow lol. There is a spider web feature of the course that I tried that was amazing. Getting into the web was easy but climbing through was challenging on the top end. As someone who couldnt do a single pull up, I will say it's all possible for any age. Actually the kids are fantastic at the course. My eye is on the dragon next time. PS I was fortunate to have a buddy. But if you dont have a buddy, the auto belay is really nice knocking off the barrier to try this sport if you want to try a solo endeavor. Definitely nice and I will add this to the many solo sports I do (downhill ski, golf,... :) )

Don't be afraid to come if you're a first-timer like me! If you don't have gear, it's fine. Just wear what you're comfortable working out in although maybe stick to things that are a bit more form fitting since you'll be in a harness and it might not be very comfortable if your clothing is bunched up. They have shoes and harnesses that you can rent and they have flip flops for you to wear while not climbing since the climbing shoes can be a bit uncomfortable. The only thing you have to do before hand is fill out a waiver that's accessible through their website. The waiver has a brief video intro to bouldering that you have to watch before you can sign off. When we arrived, we told reception that we had filled out the online waiver. There's another instructional walk through that you have to read through and watch on the computers they have set up. You have to sign off and report back to reception. From there since I was a complete beginner, I had to do an orientation and they fitted me for shoes and a harness. Not long after a staff member took us back to the beginner's area where we learned climbing etiquette, do's and don'ts, as well as how their auto-belay system works. She was friendly and patient with me even when I was a little worried about letting go of the wall initially. Each of the climbs is colour coded and has a rating for how difficult it is. The learner's area is awesome. It's away from the other much higher and more difficult climbs and the bouldering area so you don't feel overwhelmed with what everyone else is doing. Once I got more comfortable I wandered out to see what else is up. A really cool thing is that they have a giant dragon shaped climb in the main area. You'd think that it is the most difficult climb (and there are several really high number ones there) BUT they also put a more beginner friendly one there so you also get to climb the dragon! I thought that was cool of them to do that. I only did climbing this time but there is an extensive wall for bouldering as well. I did see some fitness equipment and I believe they offer yoga classes but only at certain times. They also have this room that integrates bouldering with a screen behind it where you can play interactive games while bouldering. I didn't get to try it but it looked pretty cool.

Overall pretty cool gym- really big and amazing for top rope, lead and even kids bday parties. It's crazy they have like a whole section just for kids which really speaks to how large this place is. The bouldering was good and the range felt pretty solid for the grade range but it's interesting that for black it is just anything v6 and up lol so not sure u r trying a v8,v10 or does it max out but that's ok it forces u to try it regardless of grades. Also I feel there wasn't as many red / black tags versus the lower ones. I felt this gym is more geared towards beginner Boulder since the grade range is very narrow and the bouldering walls r pretty low. The workout area is really small though n pretty crammed and not much of an area for stretching either. Also the locker system seems a bit antiquated since it's by the bathroom area and is the traditional metal tall lockers where you would use a lock. Not saying you have to use one but I'm just used to wooden cubbies out on the floors where u can just see ur stuff n put on ur shoes easier on the floors. Also cubbies allow easier access versus having to walk into the bathroom/ locker area. Overall it's def a massive place and good place to start one's climbing journey!

    made it to the top!

Absolutely legendary climbing gym that reduces all others to ashes. Some of the routes are so challenging, I cried with joy and will be dreaming of those verticals for days and weeks to come until I can return.

Amazing event! Great instructors and staff, very helpful and attentive. It was definitely a good time, I was quite sore the next day however definitely worth the pain! Thanks so much Kris for another great YEE!

If you have previously filled out a waiver of these gyms semi-recently, they should be able to find you in the system so you don't have to do it again. This is one of their newer offerings and it shows! The gym is really shiny and new, the holds still quite abrasive on the skin if you rub them the wrong way haha. I thought the set up was quite grand - two huge walls that go from the front of the gym all the way to the back. They were able to work in overhangs and slab problems well across the walls. Everything felt seamless and the problems were interesting. They have some branded merch at the front which is great if you forgot any of your work out clothes at home. They also have a selection of shoes, chalk bags, and accessories. Interestingly they have lip balm that is themed by the different sister gyms. The change rooms here are sort of co-ed. There are lockers back here and changerooms that are single stalls kind of like you would see at a clothing store with cloth curtains. There is also a sink here which is communal. The parking was a tad difficult because there was a wedding going on at a banquet hall that shares the lot. There's also a church there with a lot of reserved parking. Make sure that you check for any reserved signs so you don't get towed!

Came here to use a Groupon that I bought in January, $30 for 2 ppl for a 2 hr slot + intro session…read moreincluding shoe rental. It was our first time bouldering and we were at our physical worst (lmao thanks to covid) to do this activity. Still, it was a lot of fun and a great introduction to bouldering. I'd definitely recommend for people looking to try something challenging and new. We signed the waiver and booked our slot online (the booking system only allowed us to book 3 days in advance, for time slots of 12-2pm, 3-5pm, and 6-8pm). Since it was our first time, we had a quick 5-10 min intro session on how to climb, helped us find climbing shoes that fit, explained the colour coding, and how to safely jump down from the wall. The staff were nice and gave us tips and tricks for trying the different levels. After that, they left us to climb on our own. The facility was bright and clean, with good air flow, mats for people to jump down to, and lots of space between us and the other people climbing. The gym is colour coded (the tape, not the rocks) and we completed all the beginner/yellow ones and just a couple of the next level/orange ones. There is a lot of variety and challenge for advanced climbers, not so much for beginners, but we really didn't have the energy/endurance to get that far so it was alright. When we went, most people present seemed to be advanced/experienced climbers. It was really interesting watching them attempt the harder climbs and seeing what they did to complete them. For the average person, they make it seem easy, but when you do it yourself, it's far far harder than it looks. Personally, while I understood the technique from watching, executing it was a completely different story. Originally, we were worried a 2 hr slot during Covid (previously the Groupon was a day pass I believe) wouldn't be enough time, but it was. It's such a challenging physical activity, my friend and I were both exhausted by the end of it. After our first climb, we were a bit surprised how much muscle/arm strength it took to hoist ourselves up there. By the end, our fingers were throbbing, hands rough, and after getting home, our muscles were sore for a couple days after. Since like 90% of the walls are slanted/angled, when we reached a problem we couldn't figure out on the wall, we had to jump down since it was too tiring to hang around on it. The slanted walls made the climbs much more challenging than a straight wall, since for some climbs you're at an angle where gravity is pulling you back and you need muscle strength just to keep yourself on the wall, let alone move to the next rock. For newbies interested in coming here, I'd say definitely bring more water than you think you need, conserve your energy, take breaks, and know your limits. I think people who regularly work out (especially their arms/fingers) would likely have an easier time, since the activity takes a lot of finger strength, but even for beginners, it was a lot of fun trying something new - I enjoyed the problem solving/activity aspect to bouldering, which made it a fun way to exercise.

After waiting for 30 minutes, my oldest child went to the monkey bars, but even though he was just standing there, they told him to come back and keep waiting. They insisted we wait until someone was available to assist us. My kids do not need help with monkey bars or rock climbing, at least not my 12 years child who has done it many times before. Then, one of the staff members claimed I wasn't following their policy and accused me of trespassing. Their only policy seemed to be making us wait. What started as excitement quickly turned into us being treated like criminals. The customer service was terrible. I'm glad I didn't spend any money there, and in just two minutes, they lost $110 from us. I also found out they charge an extra $15 to rent harnesses and shoes, on top of the ticket price. If I could, I'd give them zero stars.
