The bookstore is a pretty large has a huge election on adult, teens, and children's books. They have the newer books up in the front area by the cashier. They also sell other knickknack stuff like journals, bookmarks, small little toys, and other stationary items. Place to spend a few hours at to read some books and purchase them. You don't find them too many anymore. Street parking is available or you can check for private lots.

I walked in with a plastic cup with ice water & security rudely approached me & said no more drinks time to go. I replied & said "it's water" (cup was clear). Went to bar where my friends were & they had ordered me a shot. Manager rudely said, "you have 30sec to get get it down". I was like wow? Then manager walked off talkin crap under his breath & then his bartender started in. I understand it's closing time but to treat your customers like that was beyond me. As I swallowed down my shot & continued to talk to bartender regarding their rude behavior the security snatched my water & threw it in garbage!? At that time my girlfriends knew it was definetly time to go & as I'm at the door walking out the bartender yells "b**ch go get your boyfriend"!!?? I didnt come out of pocket or say anything to provoke such hostile behavior from a manager, security, or bartender in that 5min visit. I don't like going to downtown bars because this is how u get treated. My friend was from Texas... what a way to introduce her to the GREAT SPOKANE HOSPITALITY!! And the best part- Elvira the dog who is the welcoming committee at the store. She is absolutely adorable and loves books too! The owners were also there, and they are very kind welcoming people. This is a must see in Spokane- if you love books, classics, collectibles, and rare finds, this is the bookstore for you. We can't wait to go back! Tri-Cities needs a store like Giant Nerd Books!
