After attempting again without success he went into the store to see if someone could help. When he got to the counter he asked the man working what he needed to do. The man became angry and told my husband that he had already stolen $30.00 worth of gas and the man stated that he had had over $1500 worth of gas stolen. My husband was stunned. He was merely asking for assistance. We had not stolen any gas. Why would my husband go in and ask for help if he was stealing gas? I don't even know how it would be possible to steal gas. You have two options - prepay or use your debit/credit card. The man was loud and angry. He accused my husband in front of everyone in the store. He was publicly humiliated for no reason. My husband had assumed that something might have been wrong with the pump since two of the other pumps had yellow bags covering the nozzles. He just wanted the man to help him or give him a heads up that maybe he had another pump that was out of order. The whole ordeal was upsetting and embarrassing. We will be getting our gas at Sunoco from now on.
