When i first walked in had to wait 5 minutes for her to finish talking to her friend We finally got our menus we were closing them up to show that we were finished looking ask her to take the order she kept working on other people when we finally did put her order in she didn't actually turn it in until after she took several other orders then when the cook told her that you didn't have grapes no one told me they just give me two half bowls of fruit when I confronted the waitress told her that a fruit was missing she said oh yes grapes thought that she was going to go ask where the grapes were instead I ended up going to ask where they were then the cook come by and took my fruit bowls and told me to leave when I told him that I wanted to keep my fruit because I was hungry but continue to throw my fruit away as there were police officers there to witness my whole ordeal this was the worst that I've ever been treated at any restaurant ever The guys that mistreated me was named Julian this happened at the Greenville Mississippi location I will never return in fact I probably won't even return to the huddle House ever because they're always stinky nasty slow a very bad excuse for a restaurant read more

Arrived, seated ourselves, was approached to ask if we like a beverage. Same person came back in a few minutes, we placed our order and received it 45 minutes later. We we're just going to get up and walk out when we were served. My coffee cup was empty for that entire time. My food, southwestern bowl was less than warm...the cheese had hardened. Wife's scrambled eggs were warm. Waffles had been hot at one times as the butter was once melted. Again, waitress never returned to our table. Went to check out (no receipt was brought to our table) waitress printed out our bill. I tapped my card, was told I could tap no tip if I wished...I did. I am 75, in my life this has been the worst dining experience we have EVER had. Others that came in after us were served much quicker. We evidently ruined there day by coming in. Everything was good and fresh. The waitresses were all nice and attentive to their tables. The pancakes are very good wish i would've gotten them instead of the waffles. Within the first 5 minutes I realized that the customer service was bad when I heard a waitress trying to deter a man from ordering an item because "the system wont let her put it in". My waitress was nice but my food was HORRIBLE. Got a french toast meal, the bread was skimpy and dry, the eggs were watery, and the bacon was paper thin(that might just be a huddle house thing). If I could give negative stars I would! Came for a funeral from Chicago,IL. We were seated at 9:05 am. Ordered at 9:15. We had 5 meals 2 being kids. Took 45-50 min to get food in Togo container. Then all the food wasn't ready. Funeral was 15 min away and we were running late. Had to leave the food . Because it was just too long of wait. Keke was nice. Tried helping , it's the cooks. They need some new one. They are super slow. We usually come here. Have t been in at least 7 years. Lasts time we had no problems. When you have to order and come bk and hour later somethings wrong. This is a very unique place. the manager ask the waitress to do something and they all walk away talking about him and complaining. The food is another subject all together. I ordered the smokehouse platter, which consisted of sausage, bacon, eggs with cheese, grits and toast. we also ordered the stuffed hashbrowns. I can take the time to the issues with each individual item but that would take to long. My opinion of our meal goes like this...this was the worst breakfast I have ever had at any one moment in my life. Everything was not good, biscuit was spongy, eggs had far to much cheese in them, toast was stale crunchy as if it was left over bread. Traveling through the South and stopped to sleep in Greenville. Not many options for breakfast here, but so glad I came to HH, even though I've never been to one. My server, Amy, was very nice, gave good service, and recommended the country ham. The country ham is amazing. It's salt-cured ham, not the sweet kind. I ate very last piece. Eggs were standard. I also got grits, because "hey, they have grits!" (I'm not from the south so it's always a novelty for me). They were really nice, with a clean subtle flavor - way better than bland grits I've had at diners in the past. The highlight of my meal was the golden waffle, though! It's really nicely flavored with vanilla and there's got to be some almond extract in it too - cooked really well and crisp on the outside. I didn't expect to get such a favorful waffle at a chain restaurant, honestly. So, Huddle House has own me over. If I was passing though again, I'd go here. I am currently traveling across the country. Was crossing the Mississippi River into Mississippi from Arkansas after camping in Trulock park (a free campsite in Pine Bluff). Me and my stepdad were looking for some good breakfast so we stopped here. I'm not sure what the waitress' name was but everyone in there had a similar attitude and list of priorities... (in order of importance) 1. Converse about personal issues 2. Talk loudly and disturb an otherwise pleasant atmosphere 3. Customer service For my meal I got the 3-eggs, hash-browns, 2-sausage, 2-bacon, grits and 3-toast. The eggs were over easy as I ordered however they were a little undercooked. The bacon was good for the most part but also not fully cooked as it still had raw spots on it. The sausage was very dry and tasted like it was store bought then microwaved and the set out to dry for a few hours then put in the microwave again. The grits were okay. That was the first time I ever had grits so I don't really know if they were good or bad. In general I felt as though I had to be overly nice to the waitress as she didn't seem to have much patience. Friendly service. I didn't care for the cigarette smoke inside the restaurant. Food quality was excellent. They were out of orange juice today, but that seems to be the story in Greenville. Meal cost over $10 and was not worth $2. All aspects of the meal tastes cheap and not seasoned. Any of the fast food locations around here are a better option. Went today for lunch with my elderly grandmother and her caretaker. It was a busy day for lunch and the restaurant seemed understaffed, but the servers working did their best to keep up with everyone. One of my party didn't seem to like the service or the food, but Will came and smoothed things over - he listened and was very patient and did his best to make things right. 2/3 of our group were very happy with our meals. Thanks to everyone working so hard here to keep meals on the table and for your dedication to making sure your customers are satisfied! You should be very proud of your team! I live in Vegas where there are plenty of good restaurants. We passed through Greenville to meet some relatives and decided to meet at huddle for lunch. If this restaurant was in vegas it would have been shut down a long time ago. First the waitress (Toya) is not friendly at all. Second the food was cold and the cook (tall skinny white guy) was mopping the floor and didn't wash his hands that's why when Toya messed up my order and told him to cook my chicken fried steak I told her never mind and by the way she never asked if I wanted something else. Poor customer service. I usually leave a $20 tip but will not and will never come here again if I come thru here. And believe you me this will be talked about in vegas. read more
