Oh, and while we were there, a small child was sitting at the bar. Last I checked, this is illegal in most states. That was not a good look at all and just soured the entire experience.

The menu items I ordered was a number 8 lunch combo. This includes a Chile relleno, beans, taco and a guacamole salad. I got all this for $6.75. So, that's a sweet deal. It is located at the Intersections of Highways 8 and 49. It's in a brand new building too. I believe there tore down an old house to build this Mexican Restaurant. I'm glad they did because my family will be regulars here. Yes, they don't have to go all the way to Cleveland for the Mexico Grill there. They can just come here. Features: They do have free WiFi. Just ask the manager for the password and he will give it to you. They also have outdoor seating. One feature that sets this restaurant apart from others is the giant American flag out front. The issue comes to place is when nobody ever checked in with us after receiving our food, nobody offered refills, nobody came to give us our check after eating. We waited 5-10 minutes after we were finished until I had to get up and go to the front desk and ask for our check which is ridiculous. We've eaten there a few times and the guy at the front desk is ALWAYS ON HIS PHONE which I feel like should be addressed because if he wasn't nose deep in his phone he would have realized that we were done with our meal. Also with as much money as you spend on your food, they can't even update the sign on the outside as it's not even visible/faded and it leaves an impression as if they don't care about curb appeal. The parking lot is full of trash and they should have someone out there cleaning that up. Also inside there is tons of dust on the black vents going throughout the ceiling which is unsanitary. I will not recommended going there in the future when we decide to have a night out.

The dessert was decent, but nothing to write home about. I enjoyed their gelato, but it could have just as easily come from a jar purchased at the grocery store. Great hushpups, which I dipped in the comeback. Good "local pond-raised catfish" but would have been better with two filets like most places provide. And more dipping sauce for everything. The slaw wasn't as great as she suggested, or as plentiful. Finally, the bar: As I said, it's kind of divey. No craft or local beers on tap. But that's not unexpected. Just forewarning you. I ask for a combo meal which includes 2 pieces of dark meat chicken, 2 sides, biscuit and a drink for about $5.50. However, cashier tried to charge me $8.00 for it. So, I had to question her and have the price corrected. The fried chicken was great but my biscuit was hard as a rock. The coleslaw was not good. I decided to take my potato wedges home to give to furry friend who will love them as I didn't like them either.
