He sent another guy out to check out my system. Fast forward to this summer & I was having a tough time reaching him. I needed new ductwork & I needed the system reinstalled cause it was no longer level. I was in the process of getting estimates when I mentioned Garland air. Well I was talking to a tech when Seth starts texting me. He was on my phone... guess I had accidentally called him. He asked to come out & give me an estimate. I said ok. A few hours later his son showed up who was also very polite. Zeke & Connor crawled under the house & took pics & videos. This was a few days before Christmas. Seth showed up & reviewed everything then gave us an offer. We agreed & he was here at 9am the next morning. They worked all day & night & made sure everything was working great. The next day my husband crawled under the house (old house) to see how it looked. He said it looked very professional. The ducts were tied up off the ground (unlike previous installs) the huge system was completely clean & level. The only thing we had to wait for was the steel cover. The cover finally came in & Seth came to install it today. I was in a meeting so I missed him but he still did a great job. I wanted to update my review because I have had so many terrible AC companies out here. Most of them are unreliable & don't do such great work. The companies that are generally reliable are quite expensive. Garland Air does great work at reasonable prices. I am so glad I accidentally called him that day. I will forever recommend Garland Air. They aren't afraid to get dirty to finish the job. I had at least 5 others out here that gave me estimates for new ductwork yet they never actually looked at the ductwork. I was introduced to Seth a couple years ago and have used Garland for several repairs and maintenance needs. Yesterday, Seth and team evaluated replacing my AC units damaged from a hurricane. Seth recommended repairing the units, at a fraction of the replacement cost. He did the work right then and worked well into the night to finish the job. When he came out, he immediately said the compressor was bad and probably wasn't covered by the warranty. When I started to push back as to why it wasn't covered, he said there was a few things that he could try to see if it would fix the problem. He suggested to install a hard start and a surge protector. Then he looked at the unit and said it needed a deep cleaning because it was too dirty. I asked how it could be dirty since it hasn't been running that often (this was a second home; we live up north). Jerry said that we're in a dirty area and the unit pulls grass into it when the lawn is cut. The unit is about 3 feet in the air! Long story short, we reluctantly agreed to the repair and told him that we will be leaving in a few days, he said that was no problem and would schedule the service. The service never happened, and we told him that we didn't want any work done while we are gone. I texted him to cancel the service and he agreed, also said that he would refund our money. After weeks of back and forth with him where the refund check was, he apparently blocked me. No more communication and NO REFUND ISSUED. Don't trust this guy, we will hire a reputable company to look at it when we return. Yelp has my house location wrong! It is near New Port Richie, FL

Ability A/C came out to fix MULTIPLE problems that One Hour A/C had created in my A/C system! I…read morecannot tell you how horrible One Hour A/C was to me. Over a year One Hour A/C screwed up my system to a point that it had over 70% humidity, had flooded, sold me blue lights that made no difference, and cost me in excess of $4,000! When ABILITY A/C showed up I had them look over all the work and paperwork that One Hour A/C had sold me and performed. They could tell I had been 'taken for a ride'. My refrigerant output was way off, they showed me lots of readings of 'normal' and where mine were after all the work One Hour had done. I was weary and burnt out from being taken advantage of from One Hour. ABILITY A/C was a God send and John worked up a proposal to fix the many problems with my system, humidity, etc. They had to re-do much of the work One Hour had done. In the end, they got my system back to working properly and even showed me the new proper readings for output of airflow, refrigerant, humidity dropped to below 50% for first time in two years! John knows his stuff and fixed an almost unfixable mess that One Hour A/C had caused! NEVER and I mean NEVER use One Hour A/C. They lie to you, don't know what they're doing and even put my drain trap on BACKWARDS! That is the level of skill One Hour has! John at ABILITY A/C worked miracles, was very thorough, and gave me options to fix or replace and didn't push anything. Even told me things I didn't need at the time being to save money! Very fair pricing and the MOST knowledgeable A/C company I have experienced! You won't regret using ABILITY A/C! They know their stuff!
