I allowed him to do two implants on me which ended up failing and he told me he would refund me and never did. One "failed" and one was placed incorrectly! He owes me over $11,000. Mind you he owes me that much but put me into collections during covid over a $200 invoice Dr. Jacobson is extremely untrustworthy. He will act like a friend but he's not. He just wants to charge you and your insurance as much as possible and provide subpar dentistry. The only thing keeping that place afloat is the wonderful dental hygenist and the receptionist. On 4/1/21, I was seen by Dr. Rana at North Arlington Ortho for an Invisalign consult. My experience at the consult ultimately led me to choose another provider for Invisalign, as it was clear to me at that time that the number one priority at this practice is the money patients bring in, not the patients themselves. Before I had even consulted with the doctor, the office manager requested payment from me for the consult fee, which felt a little hasty. Things got very awkward very quickly when I pulled out my credit card to pay just to be told that the office doesn't accept American Express. It's pretty uncommon for businesses in the Tri State not to accept Amex, so you can understand my surprise, as well as my concern, considering that was the only form of payment I had with me. The situation escalated & truly felt like a standoff, with now several employees standing around me in the consult room, driving home the idea that they somehow cannot process a $50 Amex payment, while I'm helplessly 40 minutes away from my home & any other forms of payment. Always remember that businesses can take Amex, but choose not to because of the fees associated with card. You'd think in this scenario, they'd make an exception to ease the tension & make a new patient more comfortable in a clearly uncomfortable situation, but instead, the group proceeded to ask me for my bank routing information to process the payment that way. Of course, I wasn't comfortable with that seeing as this was my first time ever stepping foot in this office. They finally backed down & said they'd 'allow me' to call the next day to pay over the phone with my debit card, & even then, they beat me to it & were quick to call ME the following day requesting payment remittance, to which they tacked on a processing fee for using a card. Typically debit is as good as cash, so that's bizarre and frankly, cheap. Long story short, it's easy to see what a money hungry practice this is, so I chose another provider who's primary focus is patient care & well-being. THEN... it gets WORSE. I happened to log in to my dental insurance providers site last week for an unrelated reason, & noticed that North Arlington Orthodontics billed my insurance for, & I QUOTE, an 'unspecified orthodontic procedure'. I guess they forgot that my dental insurance doesn't cover orthodontia, so there is now a $302 patient liability on my explanation of benefits summary that they claim I owe to them. Of course, when asked about why on earth my insurance would have been billed following a consult that I paid out of pocket for, I was told the office manager who handles insurance was 'out of office' & the front desk staff had 'no idea!!!!!!!!!' what the reason for billing my insurance would have been. Why would this office bill someone's insurance who is not their patient? I'll tell you the reason--they hoped they could quietly squeeze a couple hundred dollars out of Delta Dental & I'd be none the wiser. Sorry Dr. Greenberg, you targeted the wrong individual. This is fraudulent & unethical, so think twice & vote with your dollar with this information in mind like you would any other business that is morally questionable.

They are always running on time, and everyone is friendly and pleasant. Its a very clean, bright office; its small but its very well planned. The office is only 2 blocks from the train station, or if you drive they have 2 spots in their lot , or are only 1 block from the municipal parking lot. On his website, it says Dr Rubin is all about giving you a beautiful smile - well I don't know how he is at restorative, because he's so good at preventative. I've been going to him at least annually, usually bi-annually for 24 years (I'm in my 30's) and honestly, I have a great smile, and I believe Dr Rubin is a big part of that. Having a dentist that I not only trust, but that is pleasant, with a great staff means I don't mind going to the dentist, which means I end up getting great dental care. I've had 4 cavities in my life - each were caught very early, and therefore it really wasn't a terrible process to get them filled. I ending up cracking one (my own fault), getting an infection and needed a root canal. Again, it wasn't a terrible process because I had a great dentist, who took care of it quickly. For big jobs he refers me out - he sent me to a surgeon to have my wisdom teeth out. And when I had to have the root canal tooth redone after a decade, and decided to just get an implant, he referred me to a specialist (who was also really great!) Dr Rubin did pull my tooth himself, and he fit and had the new "tooth" made for me. Seriously - the worst part of the whole process - having the tooth pulled, the implant placed, the fittings, etc - was not being able to drink hot coffee for 3 days. That's how painless the procedures were: that's a good dentist! Cleanings and x-rays are like that too, quick, painless and easy.

Initially, I had plans to straighten my teeth with Invisalign however, after several consultations with many orthodontists (including Dr. Loewinger), it was determined that I would not be a good candidate. Of the many consultations, Dr. Loewinger was the only orthodontist who explained why and provided a detailed overview of the process I would go through with traditional braces. Obviously I was not excited to have a mouth full of metal at 24 years old, but he convinced me that it would be fine. He reviewed the different types of braces available, the rubber band process, and more. By the end of the discussion, we determined that ceramics would be the best option; although it was a bit pricer, it's not noticeable in pictures. The first couple of months my teeth were sore, as expected. During each adjustment Dr. Loewinger and his assistants are very careful and precise--no bruises on my gums from loose wires or rough handling. I visit his office every month and follow through with all instructions given by Dr. Loewinger and the members of his staff. Wearing rubber bands at work and on dates was not an easy task, but I did what I was told and the current state of my teeth are proof that he knows what he's doing. I can only speak to my experience, and it's been wonderful! I look forward to visiting the office for the next 10 months or so and hope you check him out.
