After you make the down payment they do automatic monthly payments over two years that are really reasonable. Making appointments is easy, they have 3 offices in NJ, & use a texting app to reconfirm the day before. Offices are new & lovely, with state of the art equipment including computerized imaging. Staff are very friendly, the entire environment is child-centered with Disney movies playing in the waiting room & all exam rooms to keep the kids busy. Background: I'm under 30 and have gone through 4 different orthodontic treatments since I was 15 years old. I've had regular braces, Invisalign, lingual braces (behind your teeth), and my last treatment plan was Invisalign once again. My biggest issue has been compliance with retainers and in some cases, negligent orthodontists. I grew up in JC Heights and they've been there since the 90s. For some reason, I never went there as a teen or an adult. I ended up going there because my teeth shifted (ONCE AGAIN) and my niece went there with nothing but positive things to say about her experience. Quick Highlights: -Staff is friendly -Facilities are clean -They regularly have entertaining kids movies playing in the lobby (e.g. The Incredibles, Frozen, etc.) and each seat has a flat screen as well. Your inner kid will enjoy this. -Dr. Messana inspires trust and confidence. He's an easy going guy but is very competent and professional -Flexible payment plan options Prices: As far as price goes, I'd say he's not the cheapest out there - which in my experience is a positive since you do get what you pay for - BUT he's also not nearly the most expensive. They claimed my last scan was taken three months prior to completion and is "inaccurate," yet they successfully fabricated a final retainer for me at the end of treatment--which is impossible without an accurate final scan. This appears to be a misleading tactic to force me into a new office visit and a $500 fee for a new scan and retainer. Withholding records to coerce a sale is a violation of HIPAA (45 CFR § 164.524) and NY Law. I have officially filed a federal complaint (Case #683173) and a report with the NY State Board of Professional Discipline. I will update this review only once my legally-entitled records are released. I strongly advise others to be aware of these gatekeeping tactics before starting treatment here.
