Happened to be at Pink Sugar Pastries fueling my soul and decided to check these guys out. I've head amazing things about this liquor store and the annual tastings that everyone raves about so I was super curious. From the outside, you'd neeeeeever be able to tell the huge variety and selection that they have in there. I'm like is it me or does everything feel like it's continuously on sale? There are specials literally all over. Even what isn't on sale is already a little lower than most places. They don't raise the prices to then make it seem like you got a deal lol, I've seen that at a few spots. Really nice workers, friendly, willing to help but also willing to let you do your thing and just browse. It's always funny trying to get familiar with a new (to you) liquor store and figuring out the layout and just the whole awareness of not knowing where things are. You look like a total noob. The owner is almost always on-site and very accommodating. The prices are spot-on and you will always get a very honest recommendation if you ask. I've had many suggestions made to me when I wanted to save money and as I was told, the selections were equal to or even better than the name brands I knew. Everything is IPA, weird craft flavors or fancy fruity style beers or your typical watered down beer that you used to drink in college on a budget. Or what you can find in grocery stores but with a higher price tag. I do appreciate the good cider selection, however, the prices are just out of control. They don't update the sticker prices on the six packs and when checking out, I was surprised that it was several dollars more than what I had anticipated on paying. When I asked the cashier if he would be willing to honor the price on the sticker, he flatly said no. I get times are tough right now, but a little customer service goes a long way. If you're not doing your end of the bargain to update your inventory and prices, then maybe don't mark the cans at all so that customers can confirm the price at the counter before buying.

The cutest little artisan wine shop in Beacon. Somehow, my eyeball peeped it, we looked at each other and said: wine not? What sets this shop apart is that everything is hand picked, carefully curated, organic, natural and biodynamic. COOL! Let's start off by acknowledging their orange rainbow wine wall galore where you can pick from all hues of orange wine. I'm an orange wine newbie - super late to the game - BUT, thanks to their guided tasting (and amazing wine connoisseur) I was able to gain so much knowledge. We got to try a white (Spain), a delicious smooth red (France) and an incredibly funky and fun orange Hungarian wine. I hadn't even tried Hungarian wine before until now. Pleasantly surprised and it for sure was something unique. In case you're curious to try it too it's their Jász Laci 'Rising Sun' Somló 2022. We loved it so much we picked up a bottle to take home.
