Second time at Hudson's and I will be back! We had the Frickles, pierogis, and chicken ranch wrap along with some beer and cider on tap. We enjoyed the patio which was perfect. The staff was SO friendly and polite and just made the whole experience that much better. Tasty food, good drinks, and nice staff!! 5/5 for Hudson's!

I had supper tonight at the Hudsons Canadian Tap House ... I'd been there a couple years ago and like it. It was a bit humid outside so I sat inside in the a/c rather than the patio I ordered wings with Maple Whisky BBQ sauce. As boasted, they were good wings! They were hot and juicy and the sauce was delicious! Kina was my server. She was friendly and took good care of me.

Honestly I though I had written this review already. Working on a project in Canada and Hudsons became a regular stop on wing night. On Wing night the wings are less expensive which is good since food is more expensive in Canada on the whole. This doesn't translate into better wings though. I would say these are average with some of the sauces being downright yuk (Sweet Chili comes to mind). On the other hand the Salt and Pepper is Fab!! One night it was National Bacon week (or some other Bacon event) and I had a meatloaf and Bacon sandwich. This was also delish. You can't just get good meatloaf anywhere. So the big confession is I'm not really a beer drinker. I usually can only tolerate red beers. Don't ask me why, most other beers don't taste good to me. So being in a place like this forces me to find something suitable. I had found the Ricards Red and on the first two trips this was good selection. On trip number three however I found that they dropped this brew. Nothing else on the beer list worked for me so I was left drinking water. Not exactly what you expect in a "Tap House" but I have to assume this is result of my pickiness and not a failing of theirs. So next time I'm in the are we'll probably make a stop in it's kind of a tradition now. I'll just have to go somewhere else to get a drink.

I like Hudson's..the interior is quite large inside and it was quite busy..might have been because of a Rider's football game and then you know it's going to be very energetic. It's an option for a visitor staying close to three major downtown hotels within walking distance. They found out they didn't have the lobster which I ordered, but instead took care of me and my meal was covered. It was a good experience

I've been to Saskatoon a handful of times, and this time I decided to go out and experience a Saskatoon bar. I asked the locals where to go and they recommended Hudsons since it had a younger vibe to it. Honestly the bar scene didn't disappoint one bit. The crowd was great and the bartenders did a great job with the drinks. Food-wise I was pleased and I did enjoy the food. It's your typical bar food and there's a wide range of things to order. My coworkers loved eating here and they loved the cheap drink specials. I ended up ordering a few appetizers which included poutine, wings and frickles. The poutine was way better than Smokies poutine which is supposed to be the "best in Canada," and the sauces on the wings were some of the best I've ever had. The maple whisky BBQ and the maple bacon rub are killer! I would recommend the maple whisky BBQ if you like your wings wet. The frickles or fried pickles were good as well. The only thing I wasn't super impressed with was my "steak sandwich." Normally when I order a steak sandwich I expect something to resemble steak between slices of bread. Instead, this one came with steak on top of a piece of baguette. The steak was slightly over cooked and wasn't the usual medium rare I like. It was probably a hard medium. The clam chowder soup did hit the spot and gave me something to do with the bread! I will probably be back here again, but not just for dinner. It's a fun place to drink and definitely has a younger crowd and feel to it. Check it out if you're in Saskatoon!

Brutal 50 min wait for cold wings...never again. Asked twice about the food, so busy they don't care! Go elsewhere.

The vibe is great, the food is qual', and the drinks are a'flowin! I popped in for a night cap (or should I say day-cap?) after receiving some pretty awful news; the judge is revoking my supervised child visitation rights. Those kids need a father, and "Josh" or whatever sure as hell ain't man enough to teach em about the cold reality of the real world. The guy grew up rich and has no idea what's going on. He wouldn't even fight me in the parking lot of Specklebelly's this morning after he picked up the kids. Maggie is going to come crawling back to me any day now, once she realizes what a chump Josh is. I just miss my kids Anyways, the blonde bartended dude, I think his name is Ryan, is totally legit. He got me real good and tanked. I was eating cheeseburgers, I was doing belly shots (which is kind of their thing, hence the name Specklebelly's, although in this case the speckles were vomit, shout out to Kevin!), at one point I did a keg stand. A random dude brought in a piñata and we got him super drunk. Kevin disappeared and I was like "where the fuck is Kevin?" and then he came out of the bathroom wearing a wedding dress! I was like "what the fuck!!!" I was laughing my ass off. They did last call at a legally appropriate time, but that sure as shit didn't stop the party. I was super impressed by the level of finesse executed by Ryan when he wouldn't let me drive home. He told me he'd arm wrestle me for my keys. I knew I probably wouldn't win because Ryan is totally yoked out, like he might even be on steroids, which would certainly explain his anger problems and his extremely short fuse. He went pretty easy on me when we were armwrestling, almost letting me think for a second I was going to win and be able to drive home, but then SLAM! He took my keys and wouldn't let me drive. For a minute I was pissed, but then Kevin reminded me that I'm on probation for some shit that went down a while back. It was November of 2003 and I was going through a rough time. The Saskatoon Blades, my favorite hockey team, had just lost the championship. And Maggie was pregnant with out first child, Walter (Shout out to Walter!). We were in the parking lot outside of the SaskTel Centre arena and I was totally losing my shit. I put her in a headlock, but one of those fake headlocks where you give somebody a noogie, it was funny, we were laughing. There was an undercover cop in the parking lot who was a Moose Jaw Warriors fan and he felt like showing off or something so he sprayed pepper spray in my face. That's why I'm on probation. Anyways, I fucking love Specklebelly's. Thanks for the good times!

What a great dive bar and even better food! Such a cool, eclectic vibe…read more We made a brief stop in town, and this place was recommended to us by one of the locals, and wow she was spot on. Despite serving just "bar food" everything was really delicious and flavorful. We came for happy hour which had a great selection of food and drinks, in which we had the pierogis and also ordered the poutine because being American we just can't pass that up as we don't get that back home. We also ordered the cheeseburger which was excellent! They have rotating food and drink specials which is cool concept. Service was awesome, there was just one girl working the bar and tables and dang did she crush it! Final review: 5/5 stars

I mean Costco poutine is 1000X better than that. I ordered chicken finger and got the poutine upgrade. the meal was $18.50 and they charged an extra $5.50 for the upgrade. I could t even eat it, it was soo disappointing . the beer and the Caesar were good, but hey, low bar. the two of us- $76.00 total. the wait staff were friendly, but the place is full of 20 year old guys. NOT going back there again.
