Her twin sister is talented, too and they both played tennis for Auburn on scholarship, which is impressive in itself! Each of her pieces isoriginal and unique and must be seen in person to be appreciated. Such exquisite texture and brilliant color and skill!!!! I especially love her paintings of local landmarks such as Burritt Museum, First Methodist Church, Huntsville skyline, Kaffeeklatsch, among many others including still lifes, tableaus, portraits of famous musicians, and famous people in general - all from an extremely unique, fresh, perspective! Looking at her website, it looks like she may have moved to N. Parkway, in Huntsville. Per her website she is offering COVID-friendly classes beginning next month. I highly recommend her as a talented passionate artist and talented, compassionate instructor! Her classes are completely intimidation free and I would recommend visiting her gallery to see her works in person - photographs just do not do them justice! Back to her classes, they are not inexpensive; however do not let that stop you, she has the talent and 29 years' experience to back it up. You should be able to find something in every price range at Carole's - as she offers original paintings, prints, photography, drawings and sketches and a collegiate series featuring both Alabama and Auburn items for sale - so, something for everyone! I can't wait to go back for another class! My sister, mom and I went to the Gnome Halloween making class, where she showed us how to make a Gnome and then we could make it our own. I chose to make a Gnome that was just plain, nothing really Halloween based,but I figure I could keep it out for decoration all year around. After forming the Gnome we leave it for 2 weeks and she places it in the kiln and you come back and paint it, once painted you wait another 2 weeks while she bakes it again and then come back for the final pickup. I think our Gnomes all came out amazing! I believe we all used the stoneware paint finish which was so beautiful. She has clay wheel classes, paint your own (where you can choose already made pottery and make it yours by painting it) and so many other options. It was so much fun and I cannot wait to go back!

This is the Spirit Airline of paint classes. I have never experienced a paint class that was so…read morestressful in my life. The booking site says limited class sizes but that is not the case, they had 43 people crammed on top of each other trying to do the class that they paid for and were treated like cattle. Don't expect to be sipping while painting because they don't have enough staff on had to get out one drink during your 2 hour class. Also half the class gave up on trying to paint the picture we were supposedly being taught and the other half was completely covered in paint because the method being taught was wade up a paper towel and dab the painting while the canvases were literally touching each other because everyone was shoulder to shoulder. I have been to many paint classes at other vendors and if the class involves paint slinging or dabbing then a "extra messy" clause was always listied on the booking site Pinots palette offered no such clause so paint at your own risk. So will you leave with a painting? Probably. Will you have fun doing it? Depends on your sense of humor and who you're with, just don't expect to be able to have a drink to sip or a place to set it down at.

We were given 4 balls of clay to throw and mold into shapes we wanted. At the end of the class, we decided what glaze, if any, we wanted. These pieces are to be picked up with the glaze in 2 weeks. The instructors were very friendly and helpful. They were very patient with my girlfriend and me. I had a good time even though I was a little frustrated with myself. I definitely recommend trying this activity out! I'll probably be back for a class myself in the future.

Recently visited to pick up some pottery. The worker there was very helpful, and a pleasure to be…read morearound. We have visited a few times and they offer many services such as paint pottery, (the main focus), art classes, art history lessons, and more. They also offer summer classes geared towards children and young adults alike. The studio is small, yes, however the creativity shines in all areas. You can just *feel* the love the owners have for this little establishment. My son and I will be coming back soon for art classes. Absolutely wonderful little studio, I am so glad I gave this a try. I could drop off any day during the week but they only fire and pick up on Saturday. I went multiple times over the next couple weeks trying to drop off and even though posted hours said open their doors were locked. I finally pick up the kids pottery on a Saturday and am able to drop mine off. go back the following Saturday and they are closed even though posted hours are open. I call ahead the next Saturday bc I don't want to drive 45 minutes and they repeatedly don't answer the phone. I take my chances and they are open!! Now to get my cup, but wait it has black on it tracing half a name and then another kids name is fully traces in black...I didn't use black paint! what an expensive waste of our families time and complete disappointment.
