Dr. Trivedi listened carefully to my concerns and effectively advised me. She administered my TMS carefully and effectively. Every few treatments, Dr. Trivedi remapped the treatment. I never had that much success with medications; however, I feel much better after my TMS regimen with Human Touch and am very glad I went to them for treatment. I found Dr. Trevedi recently in the midst of a deep depression triggered by a loss while overseas. I sought help from Dr. Trevidi upon return to the USA. Medication has not been kind to me in the past so I decided to try IV Ketamine. I only had two weeks to get myself back in shape before I head back overseas for my job. Six sessions of treatment, over two weeks time span did magic. Positive results occurred after the first treatment. The entire experience was nothing short of a miracle. Each session was 40 minutes, but the first one felt like 2 hours or more. I felt an incredible sense of freedom during the first session, as one layer of sadness peeled off after another. Darkness lifted as colors and light began to pour in front of my eyes. Healing continued in the next five sessions. Happiness returned. Energy returned. I could work, I could plan, I could think, I could strategize and I could look forward to the future again. I don't really how this Ketamine works, but I have experienced it. It has worked for me. I started seeing Dr. Trivedi after my regular provider switched practices. I have really appreciated how closely she follows her patients, listens to concerns about side effects and medications, and takes my input into account when deciding what is working and what is not. She follows up more frequently when needed, and her office is usually quick and responsive with medication refill requests. While there are times they do not answer right away, leaving a message typically resolves the issue. Dr. Trivedi is also very responsive on the patient portal. Overall, I think she does a great job as a mental health provider, staying engaged with her patients and making sure their needs and progress are part of the treatment plan. read more

TLDR: Mismanaged meds, blamed me, prescribed sub therapeutic dosage. AVOID. - They mismanaged my meds AKA dropped the ball on refills after each appointment. I had to call them and ask them to refill meds multiple times when I was nearing the end of my meds. I would call the pharmacy with a reasonable expectation that since my last appointment, they had submitted a refill, as is the deal: do a check in with the psych, get the refill. Fine, I did that, and they didn't refill. I had to call them after calling the pharmacy and negotiate with them to get emergency dosages even though I was due the dosage I was asking having had an appointment to receive that dosage. Three times. I have chemical depression, this cannot happen. - They called me to argue with me about how this wasn't their fault and subtly chided me for expecting double prescriptions before appointments. I did not expect this, made that clear, and had done everything I was required to do as a patient to have my prescriptions refilled. I also was not looking for feedback on this about how I am a worse patient (LOL IN WHAT REALITY IS THIS ACCEPTABLE?!), I just want them to do their jobs and refill my meds. - Apparently this didn't matter anyway, because when I switched providers I was informed that I was on a SUB THERAPEUTIC DOSE of anti-depressants and mood stabilizers. Oh, no wonder I was continuing to struggle with depression on a monthly basis, they just decided not to take me seriously! My depression does not respond to therapy alone, it's very clearly chemical and requires a chemical solution. Their solution? "Screw this guy, let him twist in the wind." Cool, great job. You lost a patient and this patient is recommending no one else visit. read more

The ECT treatments were an important part of our journey. Dr. T was very helpful and pleasant. Although my partner and I are still navigating through major depressive disorder and additional treatments, we would not have done anything differently. I have not been seen by htb in over two years and before I left we paid off all our debts and we had an agreement with the Dr. Two years latter I get a bill and was told that basically the old billing people screwed them over. On top of that I have seen other drs since and they do not charge me what Medicare doesn't pay because I am on disability and have Medicare and medical. They don't care about there patients and I would not recommend this place unless you want to be taken advantage of and loose your money! read more

If it could be 0 stars I would do so. I can say 2 of the 3 IOP therapists I met with are ok, after being thrown in group therapy before having been in one on one therapy before or any behavioral health in life. This was done by DR.TREVEDI . I asked DR.TREVEDI what her thought process was on having placed me in group therapy before one on one (what I was initially referred over to BH by my PCP). Her response was that group therapy would suit me better and my "mood." I tried informing her that I don't believe it's best, meanwhile she was interrupting me the whole time. Mind you it's a telehealth visit, and her camera is off. I explain that I've worked in healthcare and presumed that that decision was based off monetary factors (more enrollees for group therapy = more money/more funding). She then went on to drop me from group therapy ( 6 weeks worth), and then said she will drop me from the practice after I inquired were there any other Providers at Human Touch. She stated that there weren't, and said I'm dropped , and hung up the call. I went for anxiety , and she diagnosed me with anxiety and depression, yet placed me in a group therapy , knowing I've NEVER been in a BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (BH) SETTING before, NOR HAVE EVER BEEN ON ANY BH MEDS. Group therapy was traumatizing, and increased my anxiety, on top of the "anti-depressants" she placed me on. They made me shake, on top of other symptoms. That was after meeting with her one time I was placed on meds. The f/u appt ( 2 weeks later) , I was told she couldn't decrease it, because it "wouldn't work" and refused to prescribe meds for anxiety stating that their policy states they are unable to. She dismissed me, and dropped me from the practice after having placed me on a med that is giving me crazy side effects. I am unable to get into another BH Provider right now, so I am feeling lost, and disposed of, uncared about. I don't understand how a doctor can be allowed to behave in this way, but it's heartbreaking. Please don't go there if you can help it. read more

If you are transgender, avoid these providers. I have legally, socially, and medically transitioned. My gender is correct on all my legal documents, with my insurance, and with my primary care doctor. While receiving care by this practice, I was consistently misgendered, both by reception and providers, and in the records they made for me. Because this information is correct everywhere else, they made a conscious choice to change it in their records. I have a great deal of trust in care providers, and defer to them for their recommendations. I was presented with several medication options, and didn't feel like I knew enough to decide which was best for me. I asked the provider what she thought my best option was. She told me that she "didn't care what I chose." And that it was up to me. While I appreciated the agency, it is really an unpleasant feeling for one's psychiatric care provider to tell you they don't care. I am transferring care, and strongly recommend you avoid this practice. read more

My son-in-law, went to this center for help with mental issues. The staff was rude to him and stopped his Disability pay. I believe this was a racist act on behalf of the the staff. Human Touch Behavioral staff members are all Mexican American, and he is black. The way they treated him was not right. That office actually increased his panic side more. If you have been treated badly by this office. Please put in a complaint with the Department of Manage Care. Do not let them get away with unprofessional bad bahavior. read more

I went to Dr. Trivedi earlier this year after I experienced the worst mental health crisis I have ever had. She was referred to me by a friend who had found Dr. Trivedi's services very helpful. I was enrolled into IOP sessions and they honestly helped bring me out of the very dark place I was in. I learned a lot of new coping skills and began to understand my thinking patterns and how to change them. I loved Jeanine's art therapy sessions and how compassionate she and the others were. Mayra, the medical assistant, was also always so sweet and responsive to my emails and requests. Dr. Trivedi herself was a very active listener and tried to provide support addressing all of my symptoms. I'm very thankful for the services I have received here. My mental health looks a lot different than it did before IOP and I've continued to use the skills that I learned. read more

The Doctor and this practice is absolutely outstanding, she cares about her patients and her staff. I've been a patient for 3 years and never want to go anywhere else. The entire staff including Michelle & Myra have compassion for clients, and do whatever is necessary to make clients feel appreciated, listened to, cared for and accommodated. Electronic RX is a plus. In comparison to other providers, Dr. Trivedi is the best I have seen. I have been to 3 others total, her being the 4th. She has the most efficient practice I have seen. Appointment reminders come via text message and have been flexible on rescheduling. Human Touch is the only provider I know of in Sacramento that has the most up to date technology to send prescription refills electronically. Other providers I went to all require handwritten RX. Service is friendly, caring and very knowledgeable. I feel like Dr. Trivedi listens to me and understands what to do. Highly recommended and 5 stars. P.S. This means they may help you, but like any company, once they get paid; meaning money is their first propriety, not the patient. Let me explain, by example of some of their policies: If you are 10 min. Your session may be cancelled, but you still need to pay your copay. Meaning, if you're late you may not get to see your therapist, and depending on your copay you will pay $20-$80 for nothing. You would think since you paid, whatever time is left, you'd get, after all we aren't paying the therapist to drink coffee; are we? At some point they will ask you to fill out a form of "rules". These are some company policies they want you to initial and sign(this is a Legal Document) so their lawyers can hold against you. 1. "You will show up on time", they already have a policy that if you're late your session may be cancelled, so why do they need you to legally promise to show up on time? 2. "To see a therapist here, you will guarantee to sign up for a minimum of 12 sessions", I've seen therapists for years, this is the first one I've been legally bound to a minimum amount of sessions. 3. "If you miss a session you will be charged $100", ok, they want your copay, plus they want another $100 for missing a session. Dr. Trivedi says these are company policies and if you don't sign the form, then they will not offer any services. I highly recommend Dr. Trivedi and her client centered approach. She is the first and only psychiatrist I've been seeing since September of 2020. I was extremely apprehensive about taking medication though I got to the point of truly needing it to stabilize my mental health. Dr. Trivedi listened to my concerns about my fear of medication usage and put me on the lowest dosage possible which I appreciated. I have had consistent and timely follow-up appointments and have only had positive interactions with Dr. Trivedi. More recently, she supported me while I was navigating my medical leave of absence and signed me up for IOP treatment (intensive group therapy) to help me address work-related stress and burnout. I had a positive experience working with Angela, Jeanine, and Christine (no longer works there) who are all LCSWs/facilitate the IOP sessions. I was able to work through the lesson plans and journal on a daily basis to help me address my issues. Upon returning to work, I frequently referenced my IOP therapy notes. This place is horrible. My daughter went here for help and they convinced her to see the doctor after she told them she couldn't commit to 6 months of visits at that time. So she saw the doctor and told them that if she decided to continue she would call them back. Instead they created an appointment for her, and didn't tell her, then turned around and charged her $100 for a no show fee. I think they took advantage of her because she is young. However because I'm the one paying her medical bills I called them and the doctor had the nerve to tell me they will reverse the fee if she never returns to them again. They NEVER reversed the fee and I've been fighting this for the entire last year. I feel for being a doctors office and dealing with people with severe issues, they are completely taking advantage of people in their weakest moments. Don't go here. Asks me to wait for a minute. Closes the glass window, makes a call. I could hear her say "the system is slow? Okay, I'll handle it." Hello, I can hear you. I made my application two weeks ago. For specializing in mental health, you think this facility would utilize a little more tact. When you arrive, you will spend more time filling out redundant paperwork about all the ways you will pay, be forced to pay and how you will pay. As a patient, I was made to feel like a meal ticket and not a human being. I've had mental health providers in the past that keep the humanity and "human touch" in behavioral health. This facility is not one of them. In the future, perhaps focus less on ways you can bleed your patients dry and focus on what they're there for in the first place. Getting help is hard, taking the step into a facility like this to get help, is even harder. This process here makes it downright discouraging. There's also a fee for every single thing this facility does including a $25 "paperwork" fee. No, you're not going to pass the cost of training your employees, on to me. You wanted to be in business, you can eat the costs. I'm not in your lobby charging you my "patient waiting fee" so I expect the same courtesy. I'm sorry but I can't recommend this facility. This Doctor put me through her TMS treatment and her staff is very under trained to do this. They were very neglectful and did not supervise the machine, they have better things to do. Needless to say, I ended up in UC Davis with Subrachnoid hemorrhage, also known as a brain bleed. A near death experience. Nothing but billing problems, which they refuse to take responsibility for. I showed up for my last appointment which apparently they cancelled without notifying me. When I asked them to look up my records, the front staff read their computer screen, gave each other a look, and walked away for a minute. I poked my head in to read their notes, it said "insurance won't work with us, drop this patient asap". I asked what was wrong and they made up an excuse not realizing I'd read the screen. This is the ONLY psychiatrist I have had an issue with. Hospital stays, therapy, psychiatrists, none of them have once had any issue. So I'm getting a new provider. Avoid this business unless you want your psychiatrist to give you anxiety. read more

I went to see Trivedi because my sister, who is on Medicare has to see her and I thought it would be better to have us both see the same provider. Dr. Trivedi immediately told me to titrate down the Lexipro but she doubled the Wellbutrin (maxing it out) and told me to take it immediately. She also prescribed Restoril for sleep. I was shocked by how quick and detrimental the effects were. I went from just not feeling the meds were doing enough to crying all the time, not being able to physically function, and suicidal. I called several times to reschedule an appointment to talk to her about the drastic effects the scrip change was having on me. No after hours answering service. No direct email. No online scheduling. After the phone calls and several emails trying to reach Trivedi, I left a voicemail demanding a return call and that they would not be scheduling or charging me for any further appointments (since their cancellation fee is $100 and they bill your card directly). I was left a very curt message from one of the office staff telling me to call 911. After over a week! I'm truly appalled by the lack of, not just professionalism, but basic lack of concern for a new patient. It sickens me how many people have to suffer through this wildly irresponsible behavior just because they have Medicare. Please, go anywhere else unless you just want meds. read more

The doctor herself believes in overly medicating her patients. Late cancellation fee is $100, regardless of reason for the cancellation. Won't allow to schedule new appt until the late cancellation fee is paid. The staff is crude and abrupt in their interaction with the patients. They also announce the patient's private and medical information loud enough for the entire waiting room to hear. That's a violation of the HIPAA law Human touch they call themselves? I had a great experience with Dr Trivedi. I found her to be extremely helpful and matter of fact. She was very straightforward and always discussed all of my options with me. She didn't weight things with her opinion but helped me work through the best solution with her. I've been going here since May of last year and I can't say many good things about this place. I'll give the credit where it's due, Trivedi is a very nice women, always friendly since day one, has a really beautiful dog that would occasionally be in her office. But that's as far as the "good" goes. I've had issues with her office staff for as long as I can remember, from incorrect appointment dates and times being given to me in writing and something else being entered into the computer, to the poor attitude I received from the staff, mostly from whom I believe is the office manager, Aimee. This isn't just something that's happened once, or even twice, this is something that has happened on several occasions. I recall coming in at 10:45 one morning for an appointment and the lady who checked me in was confused on why I was there and Aimee chimed in saying "that's impossible, the doctor isn't even in the office at this time"... as if I was the one who made the mistake when it was clearly what was written on the card given to me. When I asked to reschedule she said I'd be charged $75 dollars. That's right, a $75 fee for THEIR mistake and not a single apology or sincere word. So instead I was seen two hours later and had to call in late to work. There's been times when my doctor will see me and tell me to call on a certain day to get medication handled and every time I call in regards to medication, Aimee makes it more of an issue than necessary. I've had to have my pharmacy contact her office just for a prescription because she refused to send it out herself or contact them, when, to my understanding, is not how that should be handled. Now those are just two examples of the months of unprofessionalism I experienced. Yesterday is when the line was drawn. I receiveda phone call from Aimee stating that I missed my appointment.. two hours after the said time.. I scheduled this appointment on a Thursday due to my work schedule and they had me in on a Wednesday.. when I explained that they had it incorrect and this isn't the first time this has happened she said I'd be charged once again for $75. At this point I was very upset, and went on to tell her how extremely unprofessional they've handled things with me and how I shouldn't have to pay fee after fee for their mistakes and her first response to any of that was "would you like me to send out a 30 day supply of meds for you and discharge you as our patient and you can find a new doctor?" And boy did I say yes right away. Before even finishing talking, I was hung up on. And yes I was talking, not yelling. So when I called back about 20 minutes after I had decompressed, another lady had answered my call, when asking if I could speak with someone above the office manager I was told the only person above is the doctor and she was busy. I proceeded to ask if there were any way I could contact her when she wasn't busy and I was told that "the doctor doesn't generally contact patients personally." At this point I'm fuming, but still remaining calm on the outside. I went on to say, well since I can't file a complaint anywhere is there any way you can bill me the $75 that I now owe from today rather than taking it out of my account because now that I'm no longer a patient with you guys I don't feel comfortable with that and the lady I was speaking with said "yes of course we can bill you" and again, I hear Aimee chime in through the background of this phone call and then the lady on the phone stutters a bit and says "oh never mind sorry, we can't" I then told her I was contacting my bank and placing a stop payment so even though they can't bill me, they'll have to bill me now, and when that bill comes I will gladly get ahold of Sutter and dispute it and ended the call with saying thanks for all of your help. After this call, I googled Trivedi's name and the VERY FIRST review was someone saying they were given the wrong appointment date & time and charged $75 and the office talked down on her as she tried to dispute it. Who would have guessed?! I'm not the only one with this issue! For the sake of this office as a whole, I do believe Aimee should not have as much power as she has especially with her lack of professionalism. It makes it hard to recognize the intelligence of the doctor she works for. read more

I have requested no less than 6 or 7 times to get copies of bills and documents were subpoenaed from my attorney and he didn't even get a response. Leaving messages on every extension doesn't even help. NO ONE will call back unless you are going in for an appointment. I was charged 150.00 to talk to Dr. Trevedi for OMG 10 minutes for paperwork questions that her staff wouldn't handle, there was no therapy or anything.
