I had an immediate legal appearance I had to attend and with less than a days notice I told Candi of how it conflicted with my required daily check in and bless her heart she made a temporary exception for me to be able to attend to my legal priorities and check in later in the day. She did not have to do that and I was honestly expecting there to be no alternative. I cannot thank her enough what she did truly saved me. If you feel like you have no where to turn no way to stop no way to ever get back on track STOP. There is hope. I know it sounds cheesy but it's true. And it's not easy. Not only to keep sober but to even get the ball rolling in terms of getting into the program. Just make sure you have insurance or $71 a week and it is well worth it. Think about what you blow a day and compare that to just $71; there is no comparison. Come get in and stay in. Your life matters and it's not too late. He understands the difficulties and struggles that smokers go through. The first time I saw him, I walked out and had no cravings, withdrawals, or grumpiness. It was as though I had never smoked. I have to say that I embraced this journey with exercise, healthy eating habits, and giving up things like coffee that triggered my smoking habit in the past, but within a few months, I felt normal. I didn't need to be fearful of my triggers anymore. After my last, most recent session, I feel free from the chains of cigarettes. It has been one of the most challenging habits to overcome, yet I am worth it. Don't get me wrong, I experience the urge to smoke once in a while, yet I remind myself that it will pass and that my health is more important than a nasty cigarette. I was dismissed after asking to reschedule because of my disability. I was never told before…read morearriving that my appointment was going to take 2 plus hours. Had I been informed in advance I would have planned accordingly. Instead of showing understanding, or offering a reasonable accommodation, the office chose to dismiss me. I tried to explain that my transport was to be here within the hour, but the staff would not budge. The girl went in to Dr. Greer's office and when she came out, she pointed to the door and literally threw us out. I am a 71 year old gentleman with many comorbitities, and still they had no compassion. They basically kicked me out of the office in the extreme heat as I waited for my transport in my wheelchair. My caregiver called them once we got home, and the woman who answered said that the report indicated I was swearing and abusive. I got angry because she threw us out, as anyone would have been upset, given the rudeness and lack of compassion. My caregiver went back to retrieve my 20 page application that I tediously filled out. When she got to their office, she overheard Dr. Greer inviting someone back to his office for a beer. Their lack of communication and respect for patients with disabilities was unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend. This raises concerns about how patients with disabilities are treated. Patients deserve clear communication, respect, and equal access to medical care, not to be penalized for requesting accommodations. I have filed a complaint with the appropriate agencies so this experience can be reviewed in its entirety. Interestingly, I believe that a HIPAA violation took place, as it could have been anyone picking up my PPI.

Then the girl in the cubicle behind her looked over her wall and asked if I had an appt. I said yes and she asked me my name. Then they had me go into the "medical" room which felt like an old living room with a medical bench that was messy. I sat in a recliner, the type you would see in somebody's living room. It felt really odd. Both girls acted like they were just people off the street. They started to take my blood pressure and I asked them "is this even a real doctors office? " and the girls looked at me and said yes. I said it doesn't feel real - on top of that they never ONCE asked for my ID or medical card. I kept telling them that this place was so weird and that it didn't feel real, and both girls just kept saying."yeah... it is weird" then finally the one girl gets on her laptop and starts going over my medical notes that I submitted online and she literally just says "how can we help you today? " I was an absolute shock. I have never walked into a. "drs" office where they didn't know what they were going to do with me. I explained to them I have no idea, what does it say in your notes? My doctor referred me to you and you guys are the neurologist so why am I supposed to tell you what to do? And then she just kept asking me. How can we help you today? I was so freaked out this place felt so sketchy, I just ended up leaving. Don't go here!

I had a very disappointing experience at the Elica Health Center Dental front desk. The front desk…read moreservice was unacceptable, especially from the employee I believe is named Lupita (she was working at station 7 today). She was rude, unprofessional, and did not explain anything throughout the check-in process. My appointment was scheduled for 1:00 PM, but I spent about 20 minutes just waiting in line. When it was finally my turn, she handed me paperwork without explaining what needed to be completed and simply told me to get back in line after filling it out. The entire process felt disorganized and inefficient, and her attitude made the experience even worse. Staff at the front desk are the first people patients interact with, and they set the tone for the entire visit. Unfortunately, this interaction left a very negative impression. On a positive note, the nurse who assisted me was excellent--kind, professional, and efficient. The doctor was also good: professional, calm, and respectful during the appointment. The clinic itself was clean and well maintained. However, the poor customer service at the front desk overshadowed what would otherwise have been a positive visit. I hope Elica Health Center addresses this issue by providing additional customer service training, as patients deserve to be treated with courtesy, respect, and clear communication from the moment they arrive.
