Recently I moved to Florida and needed to find a Medicare Health Insurance Agent to help me sign up…read morefor one of the Medicare Plans (ie Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Prescription Plan). I wanted to select an agent who was not tied to a particular company, (ie United Health Care, Humana), etc as I wanted to select from the largest pool of Medicare Health Insurers. After studying the reviews online, I selected Patti as I felt she was very "hands-on" and appeared knowledgeable about multiple Medicare Plans and about multiple insurers. I had been briefed by my previous California Health Insurance Agent on various plans that would be appropriate, so I knew a little about what direction I wanted to go in. I explained my needs to Patti via an email, and she immediately called and said she would send me an email with various options. Her emails were lengthy and replete with information I needed to filter through (this review took me a couple of days as there was much to learn). When I finished studying the plans and plan subtleties, Patti and I exchanged many emails where she answered specific questions. We also had a couple phone calls. Patti never got tired of my questions and encouraged me to delve deeper into all of my options. In the end, I selected a Medicare Supplement Plan which was more costly than a Medicare Advantage Plan, but it provides me with the flexibility in choosing doctors and medical facilities around the country. Just FYI, in California I was happy with my Medicare Advantage Plan, but now I wanted more flexibility, hence the change to the Medicare Supplement Plan. Curiously enough, Patti recommended the exact plan my California agent recommended. In the age of Covid, Patti and I filled out all of the necessary paperwork via a Zoom call whereby I was able to watch Patti fill in the documents and get my approval for each page. The applications (for both the medical part and the prescription part) were long and took a lot of time (at least 1 + hours), but in the end, we had all of my information ready to submit to the company I had selected. Patti deserves an A+ rating. I highly recommend her.

If you lived in rural Marion county do not get this insurance. We're live in a medical desert on…read morethe Eastern side of the county. I went from employer insurance right to this coverage and it was the worst decision we could have every made. Instead of enjoying his retirement he is now working a full time job taking care of me. Even though I have had this insurance all year I have now seen a DR since the beginning of June. I was told by ambetter that I no longer had a DR that I only had one option now in Palatka for a DR shit a woman who has really bad reviews. So now I'm stuck until I can get better insurance but I was just told from my health care guy that sorry the insurance companies declined to cover your area again this year so it's the same insurance you have now. And we're live on a very fixed income and can't afford much. And now just FYI my husband retired from a hospital so if you work for one or a facility just remember when you retire or are forced into retirement due to COVID-19 complications that you will be left in the cold with no medical insurance. I feel so bad for these kids just starting out cause they are starting out with the shit show of American healthcare and now trying to just look for housing a basic human need. I'm sorry and this is coming from someone who had worked in healthcare a very long time, but healthcare just like housing is a basic need to live, so these corporations that have made it a corporationaztion healthcare nightmare instead of a capitalistic ventures have ruined healthcare and the government just abides by it. Why cause less corporations giving access means less money being used and more money for the big wigs. And this is what this country has been doing since the late 90's. I have seen the wrongdoings of healthcare facilities and insurance companies to last me a lifetime and am just sick with the way the Democrats have failed to deliver health care too everyone like they said they would But funny hey it twisted I love in a very Republican distance and they have proven that when there in office all resources are pretty much non-existent. And this state is mostly made up of old people in the bottom half of the state that come from democratic states with great benefits so they don't even see what real Floridaians do through day too day. We live paycheck to paycheck, drive gas sucking trucks and shoot guns and have a whole lot of fun over and over again. We live simple life's just trying to get by so please people start voting in the right people, so people like all of us, a bunch of hard working red blooded Americans just living and dieing to paying astronomical amount to then insurance companies, Drs offices, and home load loans. What happened to enjoy your golden years, well I'll tell you where it is, it is where next week's paycheck is coming from

4/14/21 Yesterday my wife and I took a look at Obamacare…read more We have heard of the Affordable Care Act for a while, but never checked it out until now. Since since one of us list a job for a while, being without health insurance hasn't been easy. Getting my insulin is more expensive without health insurance. I noticed changes going on since I couldn't afford to get my medication. Since yesterday the feeling of moving towards United Healthcare seems to be a better option than the other choices. The eye care and dental option are better with my wife's new job. I might get health care with this and just do the doctor's insurance through United Healthcare. Tomorrow we might just make up our minds on what we want to do. I will write an update once a decision has been made. I gotta say, I feel excited to be one step closer to having healthcare again.
