This is my favorite Salvation Army Store in Charlotte. It is clean, well-lit, nicely organized and…read morewell-managed. All the employees are professional and friendly. The men even wear ties. It is a real step up from the Goodwill stores but not nearly as big as it's sister store on Independence Boulevard. Both play relaxing, inspirational music. I like the fact that Wednesdays are half off all clothing, every week they have differing tag color specials, and the fact that they only charge $0.49 for DVDs and CDs. All the clothes are in good to excellent condition, with no stains or holes. It appears that they go to great lengths to ensure that is the case. More than anything though, I love the fact that they give so much back to the community. It make spending money here that much easier!

Generally speaking it's hard to get a low rating from me if you're any kind of store that deals in selling used items. That includes all of the many other chains and places that I won't bother to enumerate. Salvation Army is a LITTLE over the top for me because they're strongly religious. But I don't care much. They're making jobs and moving the economy, the way I see it. Plus they're turning what would otherwise be trash into treasure for some folks. This location is no exception and follows the SA standards of every other one I've been to. A good half of the store sells furniture arranged neatly in full room sets. Living room, bedroom, dining room, etc. They even sell several used TVs and appliances as long as they can keep a supply of them on hand. Lots of housewares all neatly organized by color in the usual SA way. It's an unusual way to do it and makes finding things a bit harder but all the more rewarding. Most of the rest of the store is dedicated to clothes. Men's, women's and children's. Shoes, hats, bags, sports equipment and even bikes sometimes. Prices are typically not too bad for used things, especially if you find something that's practically still new. I might have to check back in here from time to time!

We were please with the gift purchases. The one thing I highly suggest you post your store hours on…read morethe store window/door and stick with it especially during the holidays. We made 2 trips over that said you were open to find out you were closed. As a business owner everyone doesn't go to Facebook for your store hours. Especially if they were there a few days earlier and the sign stated you would be open. Instead we had to wait until after Christmas to pickup the gift. Other than this issue they are a very friendly and solid local business happy with our purchases.

After reading all of the glowing reviews I can safely say, Sessoms and Sons lived up to the praise. I worked primarily with Isaiah and he was professional and friendly throughout. He showed me many different options for redesigning the two rings I had into one. We ultimately decided to go with a completely custom design which I picked up today. I am absolutely blown away by how perfect it is, even better than the renderings that were sent. I am so grateful for the work that was put in to making this ring and happy that I found the reviews that sent me here. You have a customer for life. I cannot recommend this jeweler enough.
