It's by no means the largest station in the country but is certainly adequate for a city the size of Hull. There are six active platforms, it's easy to get between them after passing through the ticket gates and there are a small number of seats to wait before boarding your train. The majority of train services that serve this station are operated by TransPennine Express, which also manages the station. Other operators serving the station include Northern Trains, Hull Trains and the occasional LNER service. I did notice a lack of staff around the station, I had to end up asking a police officer for directions as I struggled to find my way around the station and the city, after arriving for the first time, while he did seem helpful, I felt like a police officer had better things to do than offer directions to a lost and confused tourist. There's a small number of outlets inside the station to pick up a drink, with the traditional offerings of Costa, Starbucks and WHSmith being available. I would advise going to the Starbucks inside St Stephen's nearby if you have more time, however, as the one inside the station costs significantly more and does not accept Starbucks cards. The bus station part of the Interchange is certainly showing its' age, it isn't the most comfortable place to wait for a bus and it's obvious that it hasn't had any money spent on it in years. 3* - OK, certainly nice for a place the size of Hull which is so out in the sticks that the transport options are very limited anyway.

this is a really nice, scenic day out…read more the drive you to millington, will take you pass a trout farm, some twisty country roads and during the spreading season, air conditioning in the car is vital! nice parking area and picnic areas as you walk through the woods popular with people of all ages as the paths in the woods though some are narrow are all well kept. they make charcoal here and the charcoal burners are massive, think theres 4 altogether? its a great place for letting the kids explore nature! easter egg hunts and treasure hunts (you have to hide the goodies 1st) it'll take about 2hours or longer to get around, without the hunt! also excellent for dog walking BUT PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG! nothing annoys me more then people letting there dogs mess up, what is a public path! though most people do clean up after their dogs, in this wood, its always the few that won't, and dog do, will not break down, or fertilize the land! there is millington village, nearby with a very good friendly local pub, with some great ales! there is also millington pastures, with sheep and cattle excellent place if you like rambling, and bike rides? as i've see plenty milling about all over the roads, when ever we have a drive up, not sure whats worse ramblers taking up the road or cyclists? and some have the road sense of a pheasant!

From there you cantravel to Schipol airport in Amsterday in about an hour an then the world id your oyster!!!!! I love the fact that while in the waiting loung (not much bigger than a standard house lounge!!!!) you can see your plain arrive and get on to the plane immediately - you don't have the long waiting times that you tend to get with the big airports. If I was to suggest something for improvement then perhaps a lrger range of sandwiches - but not much else!!!

Getting to Manchester can take forever but from Hull to Humberside airport is a mere 30 minutes, or so, in taxi. The airport is very small and has a sort of cosy atmosphere. However shops are very limited and expensive. It is better to pack up for the airport than try the cafes unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. Also it can take ages to get served. The duty free area is not bad for such a small airport. Humberside is only used by some travel companies and to some destinations. Parking is not bad.

Now the Area has been refurbished at the beginning of the year, everything looks alot more upto date there are a Few Shops in the Station compount and there is St Stephens Shopping Precint Next door which is convenient for Out of Town people.

Only downside is that there are no shops within short walking distance, nearest village is 3 miles. There are some lovely towns around and York is only 20-30 mins away.

The Cabins are all self-catering, although you can order a Tesco delivery, or just eat out and be really lazy like us. The cabins follow the lake, with some great views. In hind sight, I'm sure Hubby only picked the country park for the fishing, which he did almost all day every day! The cabins were surprisingly big, nice and clean and thoughtfully layed out. I thought it was lovely that you could have petals put on your pillow as an extra if you wanted them, although the rose was fake (LOL did i give that away). I particularly liked the hot tub and that there was no problem taking the dog. The scenery was peaceful and although some might not like the idea of any shops nearby I thought it was great, completely left alone :) Yellow top Country Park finds its self nicely placed on the entrance to the Yorkshire Worlds, with York and Beverley are only 20 minutes away.

After a twelve hour flight from California, I arrived much earlier then the check in of 4, at 11 actually. The service was at three. They had no issue with finding me a room they could get ready early. Five minutes later I had a room. The ladies were extremely hopefully in making sure I had what I needed. Judy even took the time to phone a taxi so I could make it to my service in time. The staff here are so friendly. Lovely people. Toby Carvery is a restaurant next store that has nice quality food at great prices. Oh! You also check in there, which took me a minute to figure out. Over the highway are shops in case you've forgotten anything, though getting across the street is tricky. Someone should make a path, but that would be a city issue. Anyway, for a horrible trip I had to make, the staff at the Innskeeper made my trip a little easier.

There is loads of non food stalls and its not loads of stalls selling the same stuff.If you want an unusual gift you might find it here. this is well worth a visit especially as beverley is a lovely town with a lot of history and a fantastic Minster. Also if you like charity shops the ones here are worth a visit.
