Aiden is an incredible barista who made our visit feel welcoming and personal. Between the beautiful rocks, the amazing view, and the friendly atmosphere, this place is truly one of a kind. Stop in for an excellent espresso drink and don't forget to take home one of the beautiful rocks that "chooses" you. You'll be so happy that you did! We will definitely be back on one of journeys through Arkansas!! Thank you Aiden and I hope I spelled your name correctly

Rock-N-Java - Hwy 65 (Marshall)…read more Sometimes, it's necessary to stop and smell the roses. Or, in this case, fresh mountainous air and be lost in picturesque landscape. Caution: you may produce tears from the beautiful views. If you love nature and coffee, this might be the absolute perfect spot for you. This cute, little blue cabin structure offers local roasted coffees, teas and other drinks. As well as, freshly made daily, pastries. I was driving through for a meeting in Harrison, AR and wanted to stop by and get medium coffee for my two-hour meeting. I also ordered, "Jalapeño Sausage Biscuit." Normally, I don't order sausage or biscuit, but this was homemade. The taste and texture spoke for itself. Sometimes, biscuits will either be made in a way where they're too hard or too soft/saggy. But I can honestly say, this was unexpectedly perfect biscuit. The young gentleman was so friendly and polite. When I ordered coffee, he brewed me a fresh batch, even though I was the only one in the store. They offer nine different full-leaf teas in glass jars. Along with sixteen different coffee flavors. Besides good drink and food, you can also explore and purchase varieties of rocks that are homemade by the owners, of this family-owned place. If you love picturesque nature, supporting small businesses and good coffee, Rock-N-Java is a must stop for you. They offer plenty of parking spaces for you to order your drink and walk over to the edge of the cliff and be lost in fresh air and gorgeous mountain scenery.

I was in the Ozarks for work and I tell you what, as beautiful as these mountains or better yet…read moremountainous plateaus are, they're not for me lol. I'm a straight up city chick and I love flat country. Driving in the depths of these mountainous areas gave me a new perspective on life. I came to learn that the Ozarks are not really mountains but are a highland region consisting of plateaus, rolling hills, and karst formations. While the Ozarks are not technically mountains, one slip of the wheel on these narrow roads will surely send someone to glory. I stopped a few times along the way before coming here to decompress and fuel up. I had a longer ride higher into the Ozarks. The morning cashier was so friendly and helpful, she spoke to everyone and said to all, "have a blessed day." Because I never been in the Ozarks before and I will never be returning, I decided to try a few of the locals preserves. I really enjoy the old way of life...now almost everything is genetically modified. Surprisingly, the store has Chester's chicken in there. Restrooms were clean and the store was stocked with beverages, snacks and other amenities for the drive. I would recommend folks take a break here and try out some of the locals' crafts. After all, Arkansas is called the "natural state."

I enjoy looking through the section of homemade jams, candies, etc. Their hot and fresh warm foods are always good for what we've tried so far: fried chicken, potato wedges, and chicken gizzards. The same lady has been working the counter the past two years we've been traveling this route, and she's always so friendly.
