Two brighter notes; there is a McDonald's at one end of the property for food, and the gas station sells off-road diesel (can't pay for this at the pump).

They are always nice and friendly to me when I come here in. They even wait on me with a smile. They are nice to my crew too. The burger was two (seemingly) mini meatloaves, perfectly seasoned, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. The cheese was bubbly. I found the bun somewhat weak for the job it was trying to hold together. Collapsed into itself at one point. The bacon was fine (isn't it always!), but just not my favorite. The home-made fries were potatoey perfection. My grandmother passed around 1982. If she were still here, I'd be forced to tell her someone makes a better chocolate pie than her. At least I avoided the cussing and getting walloped by a broom. The crust was buttery and of perfect firmness. The chocolate cream was covered in heavenly whipped cream, I assume homemade.
