We looked at the Somerset store and the gentleman there acted as if he had better things to do instead of help us, so we went to London. I'm so glad that we did. I met Shannon on the way in and let me tell you, she is amazing. We were able to order a custom built home exactly how we wanted it. While the other one in Somerset said it would be 6 months to make a custom home, Shannon told us that wasn't true. Our home was done a few weeks BEFORE the date she promised! They were waiting on us to get financing when I thought it would be the other way around. The entire process can be aggravating if you know nothing about developing land and bringing a new mobile home in. Shannon will gladly educate you on that and she is thorough. As far as utilities, you really need to set that up yourself. Clayton homes do have plumbers and electricians they can call, but they don't work for CH. So...expect same delays if you rely on them. Don't blame CH for any issues you have with whatever plumber and electrician you're trying to get out for your utilities. There is a huge worker shortage all over and its hard trying to get anyone to work. Shannon will work with you as best as she can with that, but ultimately, it's the tradesman who decides to take a job or not. We had to put our own water line in as trying to find a plumber in Somerset is ridiculous. Shannon was awesome and helped us get financing and home insurance. I feel like we got a good deal on that and the process was pretty quick. There were some small issues with the mobile home once it was pulled in, but Shannon went out of her way to get people out there to fix it. 8 months later and we are still loving our new home. I would highly reccomend the London store!
