Strack quoted a high end REHEEM multi stage replacement at the lower cost end, of the other two quotes for their lower technical equipment. Installation? Four techs arrived, two inside two outside. One day completion. Modified duct finishing, condensation plumbing, fit - finish inside and out all top shelf and very professional. Additional add on equipment (thermostat, condensation pump and cut off switches) all top of the line. Our power bill reflected and significant drop in cost. Strack - RHEEM quality investment. I purchased a heat pump from this company in 2016, had a problem before and…read moreservice was so slow, I notified the Better Business Bureau, so am certain didn't do anything to endear me to them. Received my electric bill for Jan in Feb and was more than double the usual, but tried to attribute it to the really cold weather, still something nagged at me so called Davis Heating and Air and a tech came out that very day to diagnose the problem and order the necessary parts. Fast forward to 2 days shy of 6 weeks and still not fixed, but called them for the upteenth time to check on the status of the parts. Got disconnected while they were checking. They phoned back to say they had just checked and had all the parts so would get me on their schedule. After almost 6 weeks and several calls and they showed no more initiative than that to remedy the problem! The lady assured me she checked on parts all the time, then said maybe they had come in the week before, and so, there they were, and no one had bothered to contact me. Maybe if they were paying my electric bill, they would find another gear. My advice to any looking for a potential company to do heat/air business with, find one that will be as anxious to service what they sell as they are to sell their wares. Davis Heat and Air is really bad!

When I called, he said he'd be out within a couple of days to fix it. That was two weeks ago. I've texted and called, no response. Sad, because I was willing to pay him for his second visit and not hold him responsible for the leak - all he had to do was show up. I called another service agent and the problem was fixed.

He came right out, which was awesome! Very nice older gentleman filled us up and replaced a cap he "assumed" was leaking Freon. Later that night, froze up again and still wasn't cooling. Called right back the next morning. No one was able to come out till late afternoon. Older gentleman called and told me another guy would be coming and assumed they would do a test to find the leak. Tech came out un-prepared. Didn't have any die for a leak test and again, replaced some caps, guessed at it and left. Froze up again that night. At this point I'm fuming. Call first thing in the morning and got the old woman on the phone. Said they were on a job and couldn't contact them but would let them know. She recognized this is an ongoing failed job. After hearing nothing I called back late that afternoon and she informed me they were still out working and others were in front of me. No ma'am, I'm three days in front of all of these jobs". But she didn't agree. Wound up calling Davis Air in Somerset. They agreed that it should've been leak tested to begin with. Davis will now be repairing the unit after Rose air has taken my money to "guess" at my mothers problem. Now my mother is on day 5 of no air on the hottest week of the year to date due to their unprofessionalism and lack of ability to repair the unit correctly through basic HVAC repair techniques. Very nice gentleman, very poor business. Beware. Intention is good, execution of actually being able to do the job, not good at all. Lazy and inexperienced attempt to fix. But nice people to talk to. You decide which you want in an HVAC repair service in the middle of July. What a joke. Now I'm out money and and they've put my elder mother out in the heat miles away from me with nothing I can do. They wasted my money and time and put her at risk in this heat. Unacceptable. I want a business who can correctly diagnose and fix the job. Not a "bolt on mechanic" who shows up unprepared to guess at the issue and take my money in the process. Ridiculous. Save your money, call anyone else. That original 3.2 rating wasn't wrong on here. Should've known it was "too good to be true" when they said they'd be right out in the middle of July as an HVAC service. Call an actual professional company with techs who are knowledgeable and prepared to do the job.
