On 4/30/22, I discharged from Schuylkill Center and came home to live with my wonderful son, in Middletown, PA. My insurance had arranged for me to have a Home Health Aid, 6 hours per day, 7 days per week. The agency they arranged to provide this service: Comfort Keepers of Lancaster, PA.. Instead of sending me the same dedicated Aid each day, they sent different Aids, Sunday through Thursday. Only one Aid was very helpful. The rest were unprofessional, in one way or another. Then, on Thursday, the owner of this Comfort Keepers franchise called me to tell me the misinformation the Aids we're giving her. Then, after 8:00pm Thursday evening, the owner called me to say that she did not have an Aid to schedule for me for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and possibly Monday! She left me in the lurch!!! This is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! This is UNACCEPTABLE! My insurance provided me with service hours for an Aid because I NEED that service. So, I called my insurance. My Service Coordinator is upset. The program department is working on finding a different home health agency. It could take a few weeks... All that time, I will not have the help I need. My advice to anyone who needs assistance or who is looking for assistance for a loved one, whether via insurance paid or private paid, learn from my experience. My insurance needs documentation to pay their claims, they refuse to send the documentation for some reason. So after my insurance requested the information, they then started directly billing me and threatening me with collections. I had an insurance representative call them on a 3-way call and they assured us they would send the information. To date, my insurance hasn't received it. My husband has also used them. He has paid each bill they've sent him. Today, he received a notice from a collection agency that he owed them $40 from early last year. That is absolutely ridiculous. I would avoid this company at all costs. My husband and I are changing to a new DME company as this one is absolutely horrible.

Apria failed to apply the rental with my insurance provider for an entire year. So they forfeited that year. (SEE PHOTOS) By their own hands. So they have been lying and misleading me all this time to get the payments from me. I called their out sourced customer service. They lie. They tell you to hold on hoping you hang up. They stated to me they will stop the charges. Never happened. Then I was on a 3 way phone call with deceitful Apria and an agent from my insurance company. The agent was able to see through their scam. They even told him that the reason I was paying is because they sent a second cpap machine. Which is a lie. They then lied and said they are in the process of refunding any payments I may have made and mailing a letter of satisfaction to my home. Which never happened. The people on the phone run off a script. The say the same thing and repeat the Same lies to get you off their back. Apria is dishonest in their practice. Ask yourself a question. "Why don't they have a complaint department?" Don't use these people. And the insurance companies need to drop Apria. I will never pay a dime to them. Stay away from them.
