What the heck is Dalbodre? If you tried googling Dalbodre, aside from this very cafe's related…read moresite or info, you may be able to find a restaurant in Seoul with this name (minus the word Cafe). Otherwise, every site is related to their cafe. I guess it's not a bad idea to give your business a unique name where your business' info just pops up immediately, hit after hit. Whether it's by design or not, good for them. Cafe Dalbodre is a cozy Korean cafe that is tucked away from the tourisy side of Niagara Falls and quite close to Great Wolf Lodge, with the casino in view. What really grabbed my attention was how affordable their drinks were. If you were to get the same drinks in the GTA, I swear we are looking at $6-7. I really like the iced Dalgona coffee that I got. Coffee was very aromatic and flavourful. Not very sweet when I first drank it, but because the honeycomb gradually melted the drink became sweeter as it went along. I also got a dark chocolate gyoto cake to go. It was simple, but quite enjoyable. Whip cream on top with some crunchy chocolate bits. The cake was rich, chocolatey and not too sweet. I'd prefer it to be even darker, but that's just me. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed the cake. Now when I asked the shop owner what gyoto means, she said it meant chocolate in French. From my limited Gr. 11 French, I don't recall that word meaning chocolate in French nor does the word sound like French. Yet another mysterious word coming from this place. Now when I asked the owner which drinks are the most popular, while not impolite, but she directed me to the starred item on their menu. I guess she's not the talking type? But she certainly wasn't exactly Ms. Sunshine. I'm still very much a fan of Cafe Dalbodre, but just don't expect a great deal of hospitality. Btw, I still have no idea what Dalbodre is.

I came here on a Monday in the morning and it wasn't busy at all. It was quiet and a very clean space. There weren't a lot of food options for an early morning but I tried their Iced latte. It tasted OK and price was fair. Overall, I may come back to try their bingsu if I'm in the area and it's not too far walking distance but I'm hoping service will be more friendly and approachable.

Best meal we've had in Niagara Falls!…read more We stopped in for lunch and were seriously impressed. I had the tuna salad sandwich with chips and coleslaw--everything was super fresh and flavorful. My partner ordered the California Club and couldn't stop raving about how stacked and satisfying it was. The portions were generous, and the ingredients tasted like they were prepped that day. The vibe of the place was cozy and welcoming, and to top it off--there was a cat sleeping peacefully nearby, which just made everything feel even more comforting. Honestly, this was the best food experience we've had during our trip. Definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the area!

Reservations are essentially required except they aren't but good luck trying as a walk in. We came at opening and they were already booked for the day. On a Thursday. On the off season. It was a disappointing experience honestly. The staff member was kind but it was irritating that the people after us were offered a reservation slot if there was a no show but of course I spoke up and said we were here first, however everyone showed up for their slot the entire hour we were there. Seems like a lot of locals come here vs tourist so again annoying but I guess good for the cats since they are more likely to adopt. Adoption price was $225. I volunteer at a cat rescue and the cats prices range from $50-400 depending on the breed and age but alll are 225 here. The food was ok. The main thing to come for is to play with the cats so not being able to do that kinda put a damper on the lunch. My son and I had the waffles, no complaints. My dad has the pancakes which looked really good and my mom had the mac sampler. I liked it but she thought it was too watery

Bittersweet completely ruined a special event--and the owner couldn't care less…read more Let me save you the trouble: do NOT trust this place with anything important. I ordered a cake for a gender reveal two weeks in advance, gave very clear instructions, and yet they managed to mess up almost every part of it. This was my first time ordering from Bittersweet, and it will 100% be my last. If you care about your event even a little, go elsewhere. Strike 1: I was very specific about the pickup time--5 PM sharp. Time matters to me. I planned everything around that. When I arrived, the owner, Pavan, casually says, "Give me 10 minutes," and I end up waiting 17 minutes. No urgency. Just plain disregard. I might as well have been back in India with the way he dismissed punctuality. He gave me $7 off for being late Strike 2: When I placed the order, Pavan took notes and suggested various ideas, including our request for a heart-shaped cake. On the day? He handed me a plain round cake. When I asked why, his excuse was, "I don't have any notes about the shape." So either he lied about taking notes, or he just didn't care to follow them. Either way--unprofessional and careless. Strike 3--the ultimate failure: We had a clear gender reveal plan. We said, blueberry for a boy, strawberry for a girl, with corresponding colors. But when we cut the cake, the inside looked reddish. Everyone cheered thinking it was a girl--only for us to check the report later and find out it was actually a boy. The flavor was blueberry, but it looked red, and the colors were completely off. The moment was ruined. That's not a small mistake--that's a total disaster. I called the owner, and he admitted, "I should have checked before giving it to you." No kidding. But he didn't check because he was already rushing and behind schedule. Bottom line: this place is unreliable, careless, and lacks basic professionalism. If your event matters at all, don't take chances with Bittersweet. They might smile when taking your order, but they clearly don't care about getting it right when it counts.

Needles to say, my daughter was very dissatisfied and for the price of $150 it was not worthy. I would never recommend this place.
