Vision No one hungry. Everyone healthy. Core Values We honor each other. We care for, engage with, and learn from each other. We support and value everyone. We co-create safe, inclusive communities. We treat everyone with dignity and respect. We celebrate differences. We welcome all. We believe in whole person health. We see fresh healthy food, education, and social connections as a foundation for optimal health and well-being. Bounty and Soul is an organization who believe in feeding people to create community. They have a few different programs including their market, health classes, zumba, and gardening and dig days. I've volunteered with their market twice now and plan to make it a regular part of my month. Bounty and Soul collects produce from groceries in town that would otherwise send them to the landfill, they set the food up as a market, and then people come and get the food to take it home and eat. This is a way to bring people together. They don't consider themselves a food bank but definitely feed a lot of people in our community. The staff and volunteers at Bounty and Soul really rock. They work hard to make a lovely experience for everyone involved.

An unobtrusive structure that you may not notice while driving on Rock Hill Road. The Blessing Box looks a little bit like a chicken coup. The story behind this blessing in the parking lot of a Baptist, Church in Concord is by the hands of a thoughtful, local preteen boy looking to love on the community. He was able to create a repository of food, information and inspiration. Anyone who wants can provide or partake of nonperishable items and groceries anonymously. I stopped by after admiring the gesture and decided to add a few items. I plan to do so regularly. It is written... "God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7

As my sister and I placed various items on the shelves we couldn't help but realize how this blessing box is such a Godsend to so many families that are struggling and may not have food on their table. The Blessing box sits in the parking lot of a small church (Living Faith Church Of The Brethren) a few feet from Rock Hill Church Road, which is a pretty busy street, where people see the Blessing Box and slow down to count their blessings or be a blessing to others. The Blessing Box is always neat, well organized and very well stocked with soups, vegetables, pasta, snacks and books to name a few items. The placards on it says "Take what you need - Leave what you can," (so heart warming). The Blessing Box was Carlin's way of giving back to the community while working towards his Eagle Scout requirement, but little did he know that he would be the bridge that carries some families across. Kudos call Carlin and everyone who supports his project.

While its location on school grounds means it can be a bit tricky to access during busy pick-up and drop-off times when traffic and congestion peak. It is otherwise easy to reach and thoughtfully placed for community visibility. The pantry itself is a modest but sturdy structure made of plain wood, topped with a corrugated metal roof that helps protect it from the elements. It's clearly built with durability and function in mind. A single front-facing door features a transparent panel, allowing passersby to peek inside without opening it and what you'll see is heartening. The interior holds three generously stocked shelves, all brimming with non-perishable food items. Canned vegetables, soups, and proteins dominate the selection, alongside instant meal containers and other shelf-stable staples. It's not just a few token donations. This is a full, well-maintained offering. What stands out most, though, is the spirit behind it. This isn't just a box of food. We have a quiet testament to the care and generosity of neighbors who want to make sure no one goes hungry. Whether you're stopping by to donate or to pick up a few essentials, this little pantry reflects a big-hearted community. [Review 1202 of 2025 - 4387 in North Carolina - 24754 overall]
