I spoke too soon with my original review. I specifically told them the wiring needed to be redone in my older home. I paid $30,000+ to this company. I have since had three electrical issues all related to wiring. No wiring was changed; the panel covers were changed and outlets were installed. It still has the original wiring and some wiring from the 90s. Definitely not worth $30,000. I'm going to have to still have it rewired but it will certainly not be with Hunter Services. read more

Where do I start? I needed so much - all new HVAC system....thank goodness I have Hunter Services on speed dial... they have done so much for me to get this new house up and running after a system was not installed properly leaking Freon etc....MAXWELL, CHRISTIAN , JESSE. & BRENDAN, practically lived with me for three days....they informed me and assured me along the way! Duct work ripped out copper piping ripped out, clean slate for my new system! They educated me in the new system and made sure everything was perfect when they left Friday night! My experience with Hunter has been outstanding. I had to replace my AC unexpectedly and they really took good care of me. All the follow ups have been great since they installed my new unit. Something happened to the new unit and it stopped working in August (there was a power surge of some type) and they came out to take care of it without charging me because they categorized it as part of the maintenance! I would recommend Hunter to everyone! Also, I would highly recommend Brendan. He has been the technician who's been working with me and he is very knowledgeable and professional. Scheduling was easy. They were responsive to messages and calls. They fell short when it came to communicating that they would be late to my appointments somehow my phone number was also incorrect in their system despite the multiple communications. The tech was very friendly and fixed the issue in no time. I will give them another shot and hope this time they can make it on time and be transparent about delays and arrival times. I also hope they get the wrong phone number issue fixed as well because it makes no sense how they can find me one day with my number and then it be wrong the day of the appointment. read more

Hunter Service Group has rescued me and my family twice: once when our heater died right at the start of the cold frost this winter, and again just yesterday when our AC died during a 100-degree day. We have a home warranty company and during both instances, I contacted them and tried to get a HVAC tech to come to our house ASAP to fix the issues. However, both times, we were told that they had no availability for the same day. If we waited on them, we would have had to wait 2-3 days before someone could come even look at our system, and God knows how long it would have taken for them to even fix anything. Grr! Enter Hunter Service Group! When our home warranty company couldn't provide immediate assistance, I called Hunter and both times, their tech Brendan arrived the very same day. And both times, he got our HVAC system up and running ASAP! Yay! During the winter time, poor Brendan got here late in the afternoon/early evening, and he stayed for several hours, just to get our heater up and running. Talk about good customer service! On a separate occasion, we hired Hunter to very thoroughly clean our ducts and they did an excellent job. After they finished, we noticed that the air quality in our house had vastly improved. I highly recommend Hunter for all your HVAC and duct-cleaning needs. And just know that if you score Brendan as your tech, you'll be very well-taken care of. :-) read more

Provided feedback and owner responded and essentially dismissed everything I had to say. Here is his message along with my response: Owner: I was made aware that you took issue with work that we recently performed for you. It is my understanding that you took issue with the following: -The motion sensor that was installed for your bedroom lights was meant to be installed for your bathroom lights -The Nest security camera that we installed for you resulted in a bush in your back yard sustaining some minor damage. I have spoken with the technician who did the installation and my estimator that priced this work for you. I have also reviewed the invoice. The invoice clearly states that the motion sensor was to be installed in your bedroom and you signed for the completed work. This would indicate that you were satisfied with the installation and the location / function of the motion sensor. Furthermore, the technician says that he advised you not to install the motion sensor in your bedroom. If you would like us to move the motion sensor to another location, that can be done, but at an additional cost. After speaking with both my estimator and installing technician, we will not compensate you for "damage" to a bush. Your vegetation in the backyard is overgrown and both of my employees advised you that there may be some minor damage to the vegetation because of where you wanted us to mount the cameras. You indicated that would not be a problem and asked us to proceed. Again, your signature on the invoice and payment would indicate that you were satisfied with the work performed. My response to above message: I was NOT informed that there would be damage to my plants (see pics below) and was only informed after-the-fact, once I approached installer in the backyard during installation. As for the bedroom light, also not correct. I directed the installer to install motion detector device in bathroom. He informed that he couldn't. At that point is when I directed to install in bedroom. You're right, the signature represents my sign off on work performed. However, it doesn't always characterize the context of the situation. If you choose not to redress, that's fine - I'll simply share my perspective /experience in the appropriate area. To be clear, the installer was very courteous and professional. However, soft skills doesn't always align with technical competence. Not a five star service. read more

I called Hunter for some help with some bad breakers in my home. I was contacted shortly after the inquiry, and was provided up front with service response costs, and later a call from the responding electrician with questions regarding the issue. "Rodo" came to the home a few days later, diagnosed the problem, provided pricing for the fix, and even recommended some other work that I should have done. Mike was absolutely amazing! I tried replacing my thermostat and ended up not being able to get my AC to turn on. I reached out to Hunter Service Group and Mike was here within 15 minutes after hours! I called at 5:40 and my unit was up and running by 6:30!! I bought a used hot tub that required to be hard wired with a dedicated 50 amp line. They called me and set-up an in-house estimate the very next day. I had no clue what the cost would be but was provided 3 options to get the job done with all cost upfront. Chris McDonald was great, very professional and caring listening to my needs and concerns. They do have low interest financing for larger jobs and a maintenance program for electrical systems like my AC/ furnace which I signed up for and saved me a lot of money. Coworker Stacy Woodard came with Chris on the very next day, part of the holiday weekend and put in a full day's work in the heat of the day to get our power line installed and run over 40 feet from the power box to the spa. Chris even went online and pull up the manual to our hot tub model to have the correct wiring schematics. I would definitely recommend them for being top notch electricians making me feel much safer hiring a professional.
