Arrived on a Sunday afternoon to a very busy pub full of people eating piled high roast dinners. Was greeted promptly and friendly by Scott and allowed to check in early. Room was larger than the picture showed. Had a very comfy bed, modern tv, plenty of space to store suitcases. The bathroom was quite large considering with a spacious shower. Water pressure was good in the shower however be careful if having a long shower, the drainage doesn't keep up and there is a risk of flooding it. On the whole very clean and tidy with a few minor lapses in corner areas. As we checked in an hour early we actually used up the milk quickly, the bar gave us loads more :-).
Room we had, had double doors opening onto a shared balcony area overlooking the pubs land which had outdoor terraced areas, kids play area, Shetland ponies and goats. Beyond that more farmland. All in all a great view. Not sure what it would like in the summer as the balcony area has the kitchen ventilation chimney next to it with all different food smells coming out.
We booked a table for the evening meal but as the bar had been really busy wasn't quite ready. Again Scott was friendly and apologetic over the few minutes delay. The young guy who served us was very polite and made sure everything was OK. The food was nice and typical of a London gastropub standard.
Breakfast the next day again was good food and friendly service.
