I let the receptionist know, she was very apologetic and said she would forward my message again. I used Hunters Services for an ongoing pest issue and they did wonderful work! They came out the same day I called, provided me with multiple service options and worked with my budget. Hired them to clear our lot in Paradise, since we moved to Oregon. Signed a contract, based on getting it done within a certain time, to fulfill what the local fire department was requiring, as far as a fire break on the property. Hunters told us they did the clearing. We had a friend send photos, showing it had NOT been done. We had to keep calling Hunters to ask them to please finish the job. They went back again, and still didn't finish what we hired them for, according to more photos of our property. In the end, they never fully finished clearing our lot. Our friend went to the property, and finished off the last of the scotch broom, so that we won't be fined by the fire department. And we paid Hunters full price, for a job they only did partially. Ok, this is gross, but... I recently moved into a rental home that was vacant for over a month and, unbeknownst to me, infested with rats. Needless to say, I freaked out pretty bad and contacted Hunters Services. They're very knowledgeable and explained everything in great detail and did their best to calm me down. They placed traps along with bait, and within a few days of their service, all of the rats were gone. I haven't had an issue since. They also sprayed for bugs and removed the cobwebs. The staff at Hunter's are very professional and friendly. They do a wonderful job with the services I've received. They do need to work on their communication skills though. On a few occasions I've expected a tech or repair person to meet me at my house, only to end up having to call and find out they were unable to make it. read more

Hunter Pest Control has supposedly treated my apartment three times in the last 3 months. I have not lived with cockroaches (for the first time in my life) for 10 months! I have done the research, I have cold reputable pest control companies and among other things ask them how long should it take to eradicate roaches. I have been told it should take no more than 3 weeks, however oh, it occasionally needs another treatment. This makes number three! The first treatment after 3 hours I opened up windows and then 4 hours after that I came back and there was still an odor. However, last month I was still in the apartment for a few minutes when he was spraying and could smell Nothing. 3 hours later I came to out my home and smelled nothing. And this time when I came to air out my apartment there was no odor. Not to mention the fact that it's not working AT ALL!!!! I'm still killing anywhere from 3 to 8 or 10 cockroaches daily!! read more

Worst experience I've ever encountered with any service. We spent a lot of money with Hunters for inspection of our new house and getting termite work. I stressed that they must show up 8am because I had to pull strings for the realtor to let them on the property before we had ownership. Not only do they show up an hour an a half late, but I find out from my cleaner that the go straight in the house to use the microwave and heat up their food. They weren't even supposed to come inside the house, let alone tracking in dirt and getting marks on the microwave. I complained to a manager; who was frankly dishonest to me (I had to pull up my call log and email that to Hunters to prove his accusations) and he merely made excuses for his incompetent employees. I rarely leave one star reviews, and I left a message requesting that the owner call me back so I could try to avoid it. I even tried adding him on Facebook when I didn't get a return call after a few days. Unfortunately it didn't seem like my experience was important enough to qualify for a call back. Don't get me wrong, on the end of the business, Hunters does great pest control work. The positive experiences with their pest control specialists was unfortunately overshadowed each and every month by the absolute inability for their accounting department to handle billing. I called on the first invoice I received, gave them my credit card number and asked for it to be put on automatic payment. I was assured that it has been entered and saved. The following month I received another invoice saying I had a past due balance. I called and spoke to the accounting department and they said the card wasn't charged. Not declined or anything of that nature, but that they hadn't even attempted to charge it. I was also told that my card wasn't in their system. What happened to the information I gave them the first time? No idea. I gave them the account information again and again asked them to save it and put it on autopay. The next month, same story. This time though, they called me to say that my account was past due. I asked if they had tried charging my card, and they stated they hadn't because, you guessed it, my credit card wasn't on file. At this point in the story, the fault is mine for continuing to work with them. That much, I understand. Long story short, this happened for the next 4 months with the same fix every month. Finally, in May, I get a voicemail from someone new at their business yelling that I need to pay my past due balance and honor my commitments. Whoa. Better yet, it's followed up by a second voicemail immediately thereafter with the guy apologizing and saying that the issue was on the end of their billing software and that it has been resolved. No apology for screaming like a banshee into my voicemail, but you know... no surprise at this point in working with the company. I called the number back and spoke to the guy who again apologized for their billing software. I told him that I was used to their "billing software" issues, but what I'm not used to is being yelled at so disrespectfully and that I can't imagine treating a customer that way. H apologized and I went over the account with him again. He read back the last four numbers of my credit card that was on file and assured me everything was fixed. One month later, I have another voicemail saying my account is past due. Call in, have the same song and dance. I told the customer service rep to cancel my account and to not charge my card until I had a chance to go back and look at my credit card statements to see if they had been mischarging me considering the non-stop issues they had. No sooner do I disconnect with her than I get a notice from my credit card company's app that I've been charged for two months of service. I call back and notify her that what she just did was illegal as she was expressly told not to charge my card until I reviewed my card statements. She tells me that the best decision would probably be to cancel my account. Literally what she told me she had already done during the first call we had. Considering the amount of time wasted each month dealing with a totally inept accounting department, one would think I would be understandably upset, but honestly the whole experience was so comically bad that I can't help but laugh. The only reason hunters gets one start instead of zero is because their pest control guys are good at what they do. If you have time to hire another pest control to exterminate the bugs in their billing and accounting software, you might have a good experience with them. Absent of that, I would never recommend them to friends, family, or even mild acquaintances. I will, however, gladly gift their service to enemies as I can't imagine anything quite so terrible as having their service again. read more

Oh how I would give them zero star rating if I could!Very disappointed in this company hired to do a termite inspection for the selling of my home. Instead the guy was ridiculous! He punched a huge hole under kitchen sink floor with his fist! Not sure what that was about! We received a very long detailed invoice list of what needed to be repaired, plus "undetermined findings" by further unavailing by them, in order to pass inspection. That sounded like a set up for more work to be done! He reported active termites were under the home, yet showed no evidence to us. Oh wait. Blurry photos of places under the house we were suppose to recognize as termites?. And speaking of photos... we also got photos of the furniture in the house? Odd to say the least! We felt scammed and trapped since their "report" was filed with the state and they were the only ones who could fix our problems and give us a clear report. We ended up hiring a second company which revealed zero termites, zero termite damage or any signs of EVER having termites. BE WARNED! Hunters Termite Inspection Company is dishonest! Oh and they got paid when Escrow Closed. ::Update:: Disappointed in Hunters response. My real estate agent had used Hunters in the past. She was speechless to the treatment I received. This home was in Orland. Hunters is the company I wrote this review for. So no, it's not a mistake. Not recognizing my name is probably because it took over a year to respond to my review. Dang. Contracted them for weed abatement for my lot in Paradise due to Camp fire. I was given a contract to clear the lot of weeds with follow up and service to cover treated area for 6-9 months. I paid them the contracted price for the work, when the lot was checked for completion of the work if was found that they only had cleaned about 30% of the lot mainly the area the Fema had cleared from the footprint of the house. I contacted their rep Christian he went to the lot and was surprised that there was more to clean said he had to call his boss. He got back to me a couple of days later and told me that they would finish the job but I would have to pay them another $700.00 in addition to the $400.00 I had already paid. I guess a contract means nothing to them and if the original bid was to low that is on them my guess is that they never even looked at the job before they bid on it. according to the Butte County DA my only recourse is to take them to civil court. I was a businessman in Paradise for over 30 years never ever even thought of treating my customers like this if I made a mistake on a transaction I ate the difference it just the right way you don't make a contract and them just throw it out . read more

Only 1 star because I couldn't check no stars... They did an average job on semi monthly service but that was expected. Then they kept trying to up-sell me on extra services that I didn't need or want. I decided to cancel because I still had bugs and cobwebs all the time (only reason I hired them). Then when I decided to cancel they told me I had to write them a letter and give them 30 more days to service my house. I told them the guy who signed me up said canceling isn't a problem just call him even if it's in the first year. Hunters then referred me to the back of a contract where the fine print stated that was the case 30 days written notice was the case. I asked to speak to the manager was told me that she, Iva S., didn't want to speak with me. Then I left a voice message and emailed saying that I'd like to speak to them. No return call, no return email. Long story short Very frustrated with service especially at the end. Do Not Use Them! read more

These people are very unprofessional. I was told I would get a phone call to let me know when they were coming out every other month so I could put my dog away. The phone calls stopped after the first two times. They never left invoices when they came to my house. The only indication that they had been out was when I got a phone call several weeks later to let me know I was behind on my payment. I had to call for a rodent problem once. Unfortunately they only come out to yuba city on thursdays so I had to wait a few days to get help. They didn't show when they were supposed to and they were quite rude about it. When the guy did come to my house he didn't have his own ladder and the traps he laid out were a joke. I cancelled my service the next day via email as they instructed me to do. Six days later apparently they came to my house and sprayed. I don't know for sure since there was no invoice left for me. When I got the bill I called and explained that I was no longer their customer. They said they would have Accounting call me. No one ever did. I called again after receiving several automated messages to call regarding my account. Again, they told me a manager would call me. They did not call me back. Now they have sent me to collections. read more

Beware of this company! Not only are they disorganized and sketchy, you still have to deal with pests. They show up randomly and unannounced at all times of the morning or night and log times of 7 minutes of actual time spent at your house including paperwork time. Their employees do not wear uniforms so they can be confused with a random stranger walking into your backyard and again the pests are not gone. read more

BEWARE. The guy said I had a gopher problem and he would exterminate with chemicals. I was hesitant about the toxins but he said the problem would get much worse if I didn't remedy it. I had just had leg surgery and could not get to my backyard to see what he was talking about so, of course, I trusted his professional judgement. He started the job on a small area but could not complete it and had to return because he claimed I had a broken sprinkler. Of course, he asked and was PAID IN FULL because he assured me he would return when the sprinkler was repaired. I had a yard/sprinkler guy inspect it and paid $60 to repair the system. Turns out, the yard was wet because the sprinklers are set for early morning, and it wasn't broken. As a courtesy, the sprinkler guy inspected my yard for gophers and said there was absolutely no gopher evidence or damage, and told me I had been ripped off. If that's not bad enough, Hunters never returned my calls and refused to complete the service or refund my money. I'm upset because toxins were unnecessarily released into my property and the environment and I paid in advance. What was I thinking? I filed a complaint with the State and will be filing in Small Claims Court. read more

Ok so here we go, sub par service, I called a guy out and they actually sent someone who sprayed the wasps but left the can and said ," OK think I got em" and tells me what an expensive can of spray it is but did not knock down any nests. Bat guys left a huge mess outside and in and I even sent pictures to the off. I was harassed by a daughter of the owners and was later told she was placed on suspension. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE, I'm stil getting calls about my bill and guys show up unannounced to do nothing, BEWARE. I'm trying to call back the office and all I get is a busy tone. After 6 months of NO SERVICE, and hit and miss service prior to that I gave up on this company. Even their Supervisor who lived 3 blocks from me was to show up on a Sat. from 8am - 10 am and that didn't happen. Only to receive a phone call wanting to reschedule service, after six months of no service. I laughed and said absolutely not, and sent a later stating my concerns and that I was canceling my service due to the fact that they never showed up. They sent me a notice stating I had to give them 30 days notice to rectify the problem. How do you rectify 6 months of non service. 9 months later I receive a notice that they turned me into the Credit Bureau. What for? I never received any service why should I have to pay. The Credit Bureau politely dismissed the account right away. Obviously this is the practice of Hunters Pest Control. I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend them to anyone for any reason! read more
