The rudest bank teller in the world told me they needed 5 business days notice to cash the check. I asked if the check was drawn on the bank, if the check was good, and what was the bank going to do for me. I was told in no uncertain terms that Fifth Third was DOING NOTHING FOR ME and that I could like it or lump it! How is this bank still in business? I brought all the documents with me and she took copies and said I would require another appointment while she researched how to process with my name change after getting married. She said she would get back to me. 2 weeks go by and I called and left a message for her. I am pretty patient at this time but how long can she need? Another few days pass and I speak to someone who says she is not in that day but she would have her contact me. That was early September and never any follow up while she has copies of my marriage license and grandmother's death certificate. From their website page for that location, Manjola is the bank manager. I have serious questions if the bank manager didn't know how to process what has to be a pretty commonplace request and also is not concerned with follow up. She had asked me if I wanted to transfer the cd and open a checking account there. No thanks. I use Bank of America and they take great care of me.

We recently were in the process of closing on our first home, what should be a good experience was…read moreawful. We went through our loan process finding out everything from the Flagstar app because we were never called. Our realtor would reach out to our loan processor Alisa and get no answers, as did we. We reached the week of closing according to our app to finally get phone calls being told we no longer could use the financing that was promised to us for over a month. We had to come up with and extra 8k to close 3 days before our "scheduled closing". We were given the run around for over a month, only to end up with plenty of unfulfilled promises. Alisa began answering calls and texts after we were completely dissatisfied. We ended up closing on our home, nobody from Flagstar was there. I received an email wanting me to rate my experience which I clarified was terrible. Alisa's boss Sean reached out to me on March 16th wanted to talk about my bad experience. I called back, never received a call back after leaving two voicemails. I would never recommend anyone use Flagstar Bank for purchasing a home. They ruined our first time home buying experience completely.
