IMPORTANT: We brought Mountain in because of a propane smell from our stove. They diagnosed it correctly as an issue with the stove itself. However, "just to be safe" they offered to do a pressure test on the entire system. They found a small underground gas leak outside. They had a new 100ft line run from the tank to the house the next day. Then, when we had the new stove installed, the valve from the floor to stove would not fit properly. Once again, Mountain came out the next day and fixed it, then finished the install. Debbie in the office is always a pleasure to speak with. Keith & Tim are super professional. Jeff and the team are experts and thorough technicians. It's wonderful to have a local company that provides exceptional service to the community.

Horrible, dysfunctional, incompetent…read more Without warning at 5 p.m. on a Thursday in mid-December, they took away our apartment-heating propane tanks. It's 6 degrees outside. For three months since we bought this property, we told Suburban Propane 1) we no longer want their service and 2) we want a heads up before they take the tanks. And yet, they kept coming to refill the tanks, even though we had no contract. When we told them to stop, they came without warning to try to pick up the tanks. Then they came back to refill the tanks, and we again told them to stop. Then we got a bill for services we never requested. When we called to resolve the mess, they were very confused and promised to call us back. Then we heard nothing back. After two more weeks of hearing nothing, this afternoon I called to ask what was happening. This apparently put us back on Suburban's radar. Within hours they were at our house hauling away the tanks, no prior warning. Now we've shut off our water in case the pipes freeze. I'm filing a complaint with the state division of Consumer Protection.

Because I am a user of Yelp, I am aware most reviewers of businesses that are not restaurants, will only post reviews if they encountered negative service, it's yelper, err, human nature. Because all the reviews were negative and dated, before making a final decision, I called Bove. I explained my reservations to do business with them based on the reviews I had read. I was put in contact with Mike S. who called me almost immediately and set up a convenient time to discuss my concerns, in person. To be honest, I was thinking, oh great, they're sending me a former used lemon car sales man to convince me to give them try. Upon meeting Mike S. I immediately assessed he was an honorable person and he genuinely and frankly discussed the Yelp reviews. He stated "give us a try and see why we have been in business for xx years". I forget how many years he stated. I will update my review if needed, but currently I am quite happy with the service I am getting from Bove Fuels. I would suggest giving Bove a call if you have concerns based on these reviews. ---- Review update I have now been with Bove fuel for over one year. In that time I have had multiple deliveries, all automatic. I was contacted recently to remind me to unlock my back gate which I had a carabiner(climbers hook) affixed and had forgotten to remove. Driver stated he would do other runs and return later if gate was locked. Another call was due to my contract expiring and I overlooked the renewal letter. I called and Mike Sullivan was again very helpful in this matter. Looking forward to another year with Bove.

Bought a property with a tank from Adirondack Energy on it. From there, this rapidly turns into the…read moremost deranged interaction I've ever had with a business. Everything is fine for several months. Then I get a notice from my realtor about a message left with her from Adirondack Energy. I'm not sure why they wouldn't just put a letter in the mailbox, seeing as they would obviously know the address. How'd they even find the realtor? Apparently I need to contact them or they're gonna take the tank next week. Only, I call and they aren't taking the tank next week, they're taking it today. Oh, but wait, it gets even weirder. Because of course this situation does. The previous owner noted in 12/5 that a sale would be going through, and there would be a new owner. Makes sense, as the account should be transferred. So why is the tank being removed? Just because the previous owner, who no longer owns the house, and disclosed there would be a new owner, asked for it to be removed. Apparently you can just ask other people's tanks to be taken out. I've never interacted with this company before, but like I said, this is the most deranged behavior I've ever seen from a business. Tracking down my realtor over this is some crazy stalker ex kind of behavior, not anything for professionals. Yikes.

We have been customers for some time now and we recently had a propane delivery where their driver…read moreparked too close to our house and ripped the security system wire.. when I first contacted Erin it sounded like it might be taken care of.. but she basically said that it was my fault because the driver wasn't able to get to the tank... the tank is probably 20 feet from our porch and nobody has hit it before because their drivers pay attention.. she was very snarky with replying with a "happy holidays " after telling us they won't fix it.. the cable costs $20 ish and probably $75 to get it installed.. they definitely lost long term customer and as you can clearly see in the picture that the tank was easily accessible my truck wasn't there at time of delivery.. don't waste your time or money with this company.. they will destroy your property and tell you to basically get bent

We have done business with Rowley Fuels for 35 years and they have always been reliable as our fuel…read moredealer and furnace tech/maintenance provider. Recently we had a catastrophic event due to flooding in our basement which necessitated getting a new hot water heater and a new furnace system. We had many interactions with multiple employees and all were extremely helpful in solving multiple problems. We ended up changing our system from oil to propane, mainly to get oil tanks out of the basement. We have since had mechanical engineers and a home inspector comment on what a beautiful job they did installing our new system. Very professional and nice people to deal with.
