On a soggy Tuesday afternoon, covered in the day's drizzling rain, I ate the most delicious tomato I've ever had in my life. Thanks to Tatsu I, I got the grand tour of Lincoln and Concord, which included a stop at Hutchins Farm. Set atop a hill overlooking their expansive land, Hutchins is a certified organic farm selling their produce from a small open stand piled high with colorful fruits and healthy green vegetables. At our visit, there were tons of tomatoes, peppers (habanero, jalapeno, serrano), melons, apples, okra, turnips, scallions and so much more. For tomato sauce, we bought a bag of tomatoes, one of which we ate before we even made it to the car. It was so fresh, full of flavor and firm! To get an idea of what they've estimated to have on hand throughout the season, download a PDF of their produce calendar here: http://www.hutchinsfarm.com/Produce%20Calendar.html

The way life should be. One of my biggest summer pleasures is a visit to Hutchins Farm where vegetables rule the earth.

They only come to two markets, aside from selling at their own farm stand.

They carry Pasteur Rased Meats & Eggs. You can also pick your own flowers here. They also have a tiny Little Free Library. They have educational opportunities on this unique historical property. They hold Seasonal Special Events like Farm to Table, a Vegetable Harvest, Tours with chicken & pigs & cider & donuts, Cooking Classes, Holiday Wreath making & other activities. We stumbled upon this place by accident on our Ice Cream Adventures. We really didn't spend too much time here because other things were planned for the day. What we did see we really liked & will come back here another time to explore in more detail. What we did do was to check out their country farm store & picks up 2 pints of ice cream to go. The Mint Chocolate Chip & Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp were both Great! To make it worth your trip you can check out 2 other good places that are close by Ponyhenge in Lincoln - a Kitchy roadside attraction that's Free. There are Rocking Horses that mysteriously multiply & rearrange themselves. There's also Dairy Joy in Weston that's been there for over 60 years that has an old-school classic Creamsicle soft serve, Java berry & the classic marble twist vanilla and chocolate. See my reviews and pictures of each. It used to be, you had to have Mega Bucks & be really Rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!
