There was a ton of red pepper flakes, but other than that, minimal flavor, very burnt crust and it came out after everyone else at the table had already finished eating. The bartenders were really friendly and accommodating, flashing smiles all around, which always makes customers feel better. It tastes almost like really strong sparkling apple juice, and is no less intoxicating for its deliciousness, not to worry. They have two well-maintained pool tables, the cues are unbroken and unblemished (which is a rarity in pubs, I've noticed), and they don't have any balls missing! Another rarity. The premises is really clean and well-kept, as well as being air-conditioned (though not too cold.. too cold defeats the purpose a bit, doesn't it) to perfection. The coffee was not out of a machine but made properly - barista style - and it was delicious. Like a high end Sydney city cafe coffee. This same man was super polite and had a kind face. I feel he deserves a special mention as I could see him working hard all night to keep the place clean and make sure people were well hydrated. There are pokies in the main area and a sectioned off smoking area with machines also. Smokers will understand just how amazing this is. Honestly, I'm unsure if this is the norm here as I live in Qld but I was tickled pink. Aside from that the layout is what you would expect from a club of this kind but it was pleasantly clean. If I could give any feedback I would suggest upgrading the hand dryers in the unisex bathroom as it takes a long time to dry your hands. As everything is in the one room - toilet, basin and dryer - it makes me feel as though I'm in the toilet for a suspicious length of time... I posted the question on Facebook and was told that this place would have what I was looking for. And boy did they! The menu is massive - burgers, tacos, fries, milkshakes, you name it. So far I've had the chili cheese fries - YUM, the frickles (Fried Pickles), the Fish Tacos and the chicken wings. All have been delicious. This place also has Kopperberg Cider and good old Miller Genuine Draft. The decor is pretty casual and it always has sports on the television. The staff are knowledgeable and laid-back creating a chilled out atmosphere. The idea here is to load some cash money onto a debit card which they give to you to keep; I loaded mine up with $50 for 3 people on a lazy Saturday afternoon. There is a huge selection of wines from Chardonnay to Shiraz and many regions are on display. Grab a glass and choose your preferred wine, enter your pre-paid debit card and select whether you are after a taste, 1/2 or a full glass (prices ranging from $1.75 - $12.00 depending on size). There are also meat, cheese and snack platters on offer and we went for the big dog - $60 for meats, cheeses, unlimited bread, olives, pate, pickles and dips. The food was good though a little overpriced. We didn't end up spending all of the money on our debit card so it now acts like a gift card and can be used upon return to either sample more wines or even buy a bottle (or 2)! Great spot for a drink before a movie or an afternoon with the girls.
