It gave the omelette a Cajun flavor that I wasn't looking for at all. The hash browns also aren't cooked to have the crunchy outside that you'd expect, and were pretty salty. Mr said his food was as good as a basic breakfast can be expected, but said the pancakes are better at other local cafes. Everything about this place is fantastic, starting with the food and then moving on to service and ambiance. A Rochester restaurant owner admonished me for being too negative about places here but, when I have really good food somewhere else, I cannot help it. Anyways, though I had breakfast, the lunch specials looked really good, too. You can't beat home cooking. Bottom line, it's too bad this place isn't closer.

I would even pay $64 a year just because I love it double-y more than anyone else. The Eagles combines my two life passions (cheap whiskey and $.50 pull-tabs) seamlessly into one remarkable experience. If you are in the area, I'd highly recommend making friends with one of the members (I lend you my pseudo in-laws if you're in need) so you can gain access to this place because it's not to be missed.

We had a group of seven adults and a baby, and when I called late in the afternoon, they were able to accommodate us at exactly the time we desired. From the moment I pulled up, I had a good feeling. The exterior has that historic charm, and inside it's beautifully updated while still keeping the character of the building. We were seated in a semi-private room overlooking the dam, which made the whole experience feel even more special.
