The reception girl on the day we arrived was very friendly. We wanted help creating an account since we are part of the owners program and wanted to add the points from our stay, but unfortunately she was unable to assist us because the service was very slow. The room was very nice, comfortable, and cozy, and the bathroom lighting was warm and pleasant. However, there are two things that could definitely be improved. First, the conditioner in the bathroom seemed spoiled -- it looked like decomposed milk, so we could not use it. Second, breakfast was not included, and when I asked the night before about the breakfast hours, we were told it was served until 11:00 AM. The next morning, however, we were told the schedule had changed, even though the paper with the hotel information had not been updated. Great location, clean. Nice event space. Where do I begin: it's been a while since I gave a one star review and this one deserves it. Maybe I should not write reviews when I'm emotional but here goes: it's a Sunday morning decided to grab a booking so I didn't have to book it across town after an event last night. I closed the blinds, turned off all my cell phone alarms and nestled into the high quality sheets and BAM! what the? Woke up to the sounds of two dogs barking. Wait this is a dream. No. is that in the room next to me? That's right you got it, I am sleeping in a dog friendly hotel. Good news is Rover can stay the night, but if you plan on sleeping in, maybe even just a wink, don't plan on it. You may be staying in a room next to Cujo and his brother. Omg no way. Ok, so I call downstairs to mention the dog barking. But. It continues. I decide to just get out. I mean, check out. So I spoke to the manager who is pleasant, but I'm in such a bad mood I Didn't even want to get breakfast. Definitely first world problem, but I strongly suggested that if a hotel guest is going to be placed to room next to a guest with dog said guest should be forewarned, at least. There was not even a sign that this dog friendly hotel. No dog treats in the lobby no nothing. Just the sound of two rabid sounding dogs. The Hyatt grounds are nice. It is in Baytown after all. If you your best friend is barking for Pete's sake , take them on a walk. They have pent up energy, unlike their owners do, for allowing them to bark as if their lives depended on it. Who would have thought a staycation would be so relaxing but I'm glad I was swindled into watching my granddaughter here while my daughter joined a 3 day conference. The Baytown waters aren't glorious but if you sit long enough and look past the ugly it's actually pretty serene and relaxing. You get great views from the hotel in various angles. Our room had 2 huge comfy queen beds but one of the comforters was still dirty. We didn't complain though since we didn't find it until later in the evening and we were too tired. Room was spacious and we loved the dual shower heads. It's always a bonus when the water stays hot and water pressure is strong. Great gym with lots of cardio equipment even peloton bikes, free weights, kettle weights, bands, clean towels, free earphones and ice water. Oh abs they have sanitizer wipes. The pool is gigantic with a jacuzzi. Towels on deck. Plenty of seats. Cozy little outdoor section with rocking chairs, seats and games. We loved the big balancing Tetris and corn hole. Unfortunately the connect four wood has swollen so it was hard to play. I think it may be the humidity since it's made of wood. There's a little 24 market that helped me with my morning coffee. The room has a mini keurig style coffee pot but I have a hard time trusting hotel coffee pots, unfortunately. The gentleman at the register was very polite granted it was early. Overall, I had a wonderful time. Got to relax and get familiar with the ship water channels. We even stumbled across Sylvan Beach which was an awesome surprise. We stayed one night at this Hyatt on the bay. Check in was a breeze. The guy was knowledgeable and friendly. Or room was spotless and comfortable. We had a water view which was nice. I think we got it for less than $200 because I requested the water view at check in. The bed was very cozy and they even had two kinds of pillows on the bed so you could choose your comfort level. I love the very soft squishy ones but they also had a firmer one. We were on the 7Th floor and it was very quiet. We really didn't hear street, outdoor, hallway or even next room noise! We ate breakfast in the restaurant... other reviewers talked about how expensive it is but it's typical nice hotel prices. In upscale hotels you must surely expect you're not getting a crappy, pre-made, complementary breakfast. It was great coffee and made to order food with fresh ingredients. Our server was super sweet! There is a huge free parking lot, great service, clean, well maintained rooms. The bathroom has a makeup mirror. If the lighting is too dark in the bathroom take the makeup mirror over to the desk by the window; it worked great! I would 100% recommend this place over any other in Baytown... and we've stayed at most of the others... read more

Hidden gem (which the hidden part won't last long).... Incredible staycation at the new HR did not disappoint... Room rates affordable (for now)...peaceful location, delicious food day and night, accessible staff from the moment you arrive until you leave... I wish I'd thought to take more pics but we were so caught up in being present I hardly had my phone out! We enjoyed James, our bartender and his recommendations for a great meal at the bar were really helpful... The smothered salad was so dang good and I really like the flavor on the brisket tacos! For breakfast, Irene was the best server, managed her time with us to a tee , never missing a beat...and Tia the hostess sat us immediately with a sweet smile and disposition! THIS REVIEW IS A MUST READ FOR YOUR SAFETY!! I want to start off by saying that the Hyatt Hotel itself was very helpful and accommodating throughout this ordeal. My Fiancé and I came to Baytown for a training he had for work, because i tagged along we drove our new truck we just bought in April. Knowing the area, his company recommended we stay at the Hyatt Regency as it was the safest option and honestly still probably is. But that doesn't remove the actual danger of whats happening there. We booked our reservation on Booking.com where the Hyatt advertised that they have "security" in their parking lots. We picked them for that reason. On arrival we noticed no cameras or security in the parking lot, but a sign that warns against theft, maybe thats their security. We shrugged it off, as we are from a small town and honestly dont think too much about car safety (thats on us) Monday evening we went fishing then went to bed. On Tuesday morning we woke up to a frantic call from a co-worker telling us our truck was gone. Glass on the floor, truck gone. We ran downstairs to find he was right. Our truck was definitely stolen, but we were one of 4 vehicles broken into that night. Immediately i asked for security cameras and was met with the response "the city of Baytown owns the parking lot we dont have any cameras there". So we called the police made a police report and basically succumbed to the reality that it was gone. The hyatt staff was quick to let us know that the city was at fault for the lack of cameras and the lack of security present in the parking lot. The hotel assured me multiple times that this is a very rare occurrence and we were the first people it happened to. But as the day progressed I had 3 people find me and explain to me that since the opening of this hotel all 3 of those people have had their cars stolen out of the parking lot, some more than once and they each no at least one person who has had their car broken into there. So obviously we were not the first. As the week progressed it became clear that the hotel did not want us speaking to other guests about what happened. For example, more than once, we were sitting at the bar and the story would come up and we would share what happened. Then the bartender would add "well its really on you for leaving your keys in the truck", let me make this clear, we bought the truck in April, the dealership put the extra key in the bottom of the center console under all the other paper work. Regardless of that the key WILL NOT work unless removed from the console as the console has that technology that allows the key to stay in the truck but wont read so the truck cant start unless its removed from the center console. With that being said, the keys were LOCKED in the center console. So these burglars smashed the back left window, broke open the LOCKED center console and found the keys hidden in the bottom. So wether the keys where in it or not our truck would still have been seriously damaged. Regardless of where my keys are my truck should be safe. (We had the other set of keys with us). I shouldnt have to worry about that. These were obviously professionals as they found BOTH apple air tags i had in the truck and removed the FORD tracker. One thing Hyatt should remember is that transparency is key. Every guest should know what going on so they can be prepared and possibly avoid this happening to them. Hyatt wont tell you this but if u park on the left of the hotel (by and around the pool)or in the back your vehicle is covered by cameras. Its too late for our vehicle but hopefully not yours. read more

Absolutely adore this new property just newly grand opened May 2023 ! It's very pretty spacious plenty of parking very nice staff . We came here to enjoy a daycation ! We would recommend family and friends . Lots of meeting rooms , ball rooms , nice scenery views along the walkway and could even see the Fred Hartman Bridge . read more

Serves was poor. No one spoke English constantly reaching over the guests. Lobster bisque was 0/10 just tasted like fish. The deserts were not what I expected. The cheese cake looking one was dry and not good on flavor The chocolate cake was dense and tasted like sweeten low The apple cinnamon thing was okay I guess but grainy The prime rib was cold and the tomato salad looked like it sat out way too long. The main dish was very good other than the description given. I was expecting an actual side of veggie medley but got 2 pieces of asparagus and 2 pieces of carrot. Yelp needs to update the hours of the restaurant closed Sunday and Mondays super wierd. We were offered food from the restaurant because a Realtor convention booked the restaurant and was a special event but we didn't want to eat in the bar. Will be back to use the 15% yelp coupon read more

We held a Celebration of Life at this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to see to see our needs. Since this is a brand new hotel they said there might be some glitches. If there were I did not notice them. We had a snack buffet which consisted of finger sandwiches, vegetable hummus dip and chips. It was very well done and the beverage stations worked well. The set up of the room was exactly what we asked for and they even had extra tables outside for our use. I would .highly recommend this hotel for any function. read more
