After reading other reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one who has been charged for pet damage without a pet. I've reached out to Michelle at corporate numerous times and have never gotten a response. Kashmir and Brandon in the office have been helpful.

My wife and I lived there for about 9 months in 2010, and we have no major complaints. The rent was reasonable, we never had any major problems with neighbors, the common areas were nice and well kept, the management was friendly and helpful, and when we broke our lease early to move out of state, they didn't charge us as much as they could have. I did a lot of research on The Bridges, as well as other apartment complexes in the area, and from what I found, this place seemed to be the best by far in price, safety, service, and quality. It's further out than most places, but that just meant my drive to downtown Sherman was eight minutes instead of two minutes. No biggie. I think what we liked most was the space. We had a two-bedroom apartment, which had more than enough space for my wife and I. In fact, I would call it huge. The appliances were all nice and new, there was plenty of cabinet space, and there was always more than enough parking. If you're looking for an apartment in the Sherman area, I highly recommend checking out The Bridges.

While I was in rehab, I fell behind on my rent and my electric bill. The electric company disconnected the electricity. After I returned home, I struggled with depression and financial hardship. On July 4, I experienced a veteran mental health crisis. The Veterans Crisis Line was contacted, law enforcement responded for a welfare check, and I was arrested. I remained in jail for approximately one week because I could not afford my bond. After I was released, I did not know how to respond to the eviction process. I was overwhelmed and did not have the money to pay the rent. I was never informed about any mold issue while I was away in rehabilitation. If an inspection or walkthrough occurred while I was in rehab, I was never notified or given the opportunity to be present. Later, I discovered the apartment locks had been changed, and my belongings remained inside. I am requesting copies of all notices, court records, inspection reports, mold reports, photographs, entry logs, and any other records related to my tenanc

In June 2025, I discovered mold in my kitchen caused by a pipe issue inside the wall. I reported it and followed the proper process. Maintenance came on the last day, cut a large hole in the wall, and did not complete the repair or return. After that, multiple maintenance requests went unanswered, and the issue was never properly fixed. Trash was also frequently left piled up around the property. I contacted corporate but did not receive helpful or professional support. I eventually had to involve code enforcement and pursue legal action. When my lease ended in February 2026, the mold issue was still unresolved and had spread to another room. Everything was fully documented. I've also spoken with other residents who reported similar maintenance concerns.

So two days ago I had applied to these apartments. A one bedronn for myself and my 16 year old…read moredaughter. Went in yesterday asked the lady behind the desk if she had any news. She told me no and that it would be today. So I waited til about two pm to call and talked with Taylor (who is a sweet girl and got the brunt of my issue) She told me I was denied. Ok the reason. Because I didn't state that I had a misdemeanor on my background. On the application it asks about felonies violent crimes or sex crimes. Taylor said it says any crimes against a person or property after that but I never saw it. I have no problem disclosing my past because that's exactly what it is my past. But I clearly saw do u have any felonies which I do not. Now if you don't want to rent to me because of my past so be it. I gave my 75$ application fee and a 250$ deposit to Taylor who stated to me if for some reason u don't get the apartment your 250$ deposit will be mailed back to you. Ok great. Go to ask Taylor about this and she tells me that no they won't be mailing my deposit back because I didn't state on app about misdemeanor. Like what? I could understand if it was an admin fee to process my background and credit check but no it was clearly stated that it was my deposit. Even has it written in writing that it's a deposit. My understanding of a deposit is that you pay that when you are moving into a house or apartment. And to keep it is stealing. this company steals from people and they get absolutely no stars. Ridiculous that you have to pay a 75$ application a 250$ deposit plus a 100$ admin fee. Smh is the company so hard off that they have to keep my hard earned money after not accepting me? Plus I have a very good friend who has been living here a little over two years his apartment is full of roaches his dishwasher has been broke the majority of that time. His faucet and shower head are so stopped up that he can't even take a shower and has to wait 30-45 mins to take a bath while the tub fills up his toilet is broken we have to cut the water on and off to it in order to flush it. And ALL of these things have been turned into the office more than once I know because I was the one who turned them in because he works while they are open. they sent maintenance they fixed the garbage disposal and left and never returned.
