Hyde Park Farmer's Market is a fun little market with shopping, live music, food and a good atmosphere. It also has a good amount of vendors with smiling, friendly faces. It's always cool to come with the husband and kids and enjoy family time and the summer weather. Most vendors also have samples for you to try. It's definitely family friendly and a good place to spend time walking around enjoying life, family, other people and the true essence of a farmers market - the products. My only complaint is I would like to see a few more different vendors. They have a lot of produce vendors who all mainly sell the same types of veggies, fruits and herbs. I get that it's a farmers market but some more different type of vendors (other than produce - i.e. dessert, body products, ice cream, etc.) would be a nice addition or change. read more

On my maiden voyage to this market, I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious the room is in the MadTree brewery. I didn't feel crowded or bumping shoulder to shoulder with anyone. I was able to move freely about and explore the possibilities of my purchase at the various stands. I purchased eggplant and squash, cheese and pimento spread. It was all delicious when I prepared it at home. Had I planned better, I could have had a pint or 2 of MadTree beer when I was done shopping. Maybe next time. read more

I absolutely love summer for the fresh produce alone. This past Sunday, October 20 was only my second visit to Hyde Park Farmers market. I bought tomatoes, lettuce and peppers. I purchased pumpkin bar and blueberry scone. I'm mist excited about the hummus vendor. There must have been 10 variations of hummus. I tasted all except the ones that were extremely hot. I say every single one was different and all were delicious. I could not figure out which one to buy. I settled on the Black Bean. The vendor will he at Hyde Park for the last time this year on October 27th. The following week they'll be at Clark Montessori. Try it please. I looked them up on line under FOND. Wonderful selection, friendly farmers, lovely space. I love that this farmers market is in Hyde Park. It's such a great location for something like this. Lots of room to walk around while perusing booths and checking out offerings. You'll find great local produce, meats, flowers, snacks, coffee, eggs, frozen treats, dog treats, and more! OK, I might be biased in my review because my husband proposed to me at the Hyde Park Farmer's Market, but I love this little neighborhood farmer's market! I live in Hyde Park, and I try to get here as often as I can on Sundays in the summer. A few of my favorite vendors are Blue Oven Bakery (AMAZING croissants, worth waiting in line for), Donna's Gourmet Cookies, and a flower shop that I can't remember the name of. I always leave with fresh veggies, bread, and flowers. Live music, kid friendly, dog friendly, free samples...Definitely a great way to spend a Sunday morning in the summer! Bring cash. read more

Sub a great farmers' market! I take my toddler and baby to this every weekend and they enjoy it as much as I do: dancing and listening to live music, splashing in the fountain, seeing lots of dogs and stopping at Street Pop for a popsicle. Great place for little ones! It's also very convenient for some of the other great local shops like Keegan's for fish or awakenings for coffee. Of course, La Terza usually has a stand for coffee that you can also check out. I'd recommend La Terza if you're a cold brew fan. Other great vendors include Blue Oven (go early, they sell out!), the hummus guy (forget the exact name, but he also sells out), and local honey. Lots of great vegetable selections also. Little crowded at popular stands, but a nice selection of local fruits and vegetables with a bakery, fresh flowers, waffles, cheese, and even maple syrup. This fits Hyde park pretty well ... Little pricey, not too large, with what appears to be great quality. Highly recommend you getting there in the first hour if you want the best items ... But if you miss them you can pretty find all of the same items (at similar prices) from whole foods or fresh market. :) read more

The Hyde Park Farmers' market is okay if you live nearby, but don't make a special trip here. There are some interesting offerings, like a gourmet mushroom farmer and Donna's cookies (not exactly a farmer, though, right?). But the usual produce seems a bit expensive, from my experience. The Hyde Park Farmers' Market is a little bit small, way too crowded and the good stuff sells out early. I can't complain about their offerings, but the crowds have become far too intense to make this a frequent stop. Since it's a bit more established, they have some of the better vendors around. Blue Oven Bakery** is there, but always sells out early. There are other great seasonal produce finds. Most recently I was able to get fava beans and some early-season radicchio. The dojo gelato cart and Taste of Belgium waffles also make appearances here. Finally, I want to profess my love for the microgreens lady! The tiny little sprouts are on the expensive side, but will certainly last you all week, if not longer. She carries different microgreens seasonally. I have had radish, snow pea, arugula and onion. They're a great addition to pretty much anything you make at home... sandwiches, salads, garnish for stir-fries and the list continues to expand. If this particular market continues to gain popularity, I'd like to see them move to a location with a little more space. ** A note on Blue Oven Bakery: The bread/bakery scene is pretty terrible in Cincinnati. Blue Oven is slightly better than Shadeau (which isn't saying much at all) but it's definitely not worth the 100 person lines and service that rivals the Soup Nazi in hostility. read more

Yours Truly loves good bread, cheese, free samples, farmers markets, and food she can take care of in three bites while standing. Hyde Park Farmers Market has all of this and a better selection of local produce than Findlay. Star of the show every Sunday is Blue Oven Bakery. Line stretches almost the length of the square. When I made the effort to come way early at 9:40, there was already an intimidating line in the works. But don't be deterred (or do, so I can get my bread quicker) because it moves pretty fast. This is the place to be for Blue Oven bread--they have almost their entire range of offerings here, more than what they have at Findlay and the other markets. Plus they'll let you sample pretty much anything! To seal the deal, the Blue Oven food truck is usually here with delicious guilty breakfasts like muffnuts, french toast, and croissants. I usually smile at the local produce, squeeze the peaches like I'm going to buy it and then walk on to stuff my face on baked goods. If you have other mouths to feed though, this is a great market to get fresh kale, cucumbers, and seasonal fruits. read more

I was so excited that they were moving from the US Bank parking lot to Hyde Park Square this past summer... it's such a fun place to grab a cup of coffee and peruse all the local stands. As others says, the good stuff sells out very early......so if you see something you like, buy it and don't make another lap or it will most certainly be gone when you come back. I love farmers markets... one of my favorite things about a city or town. There's something about exploring the local products that define each city or town as unique. That, is the wonderful thing about traveling. Considering this, I really enjoyed the Hyde Park Market. I bought some delicious hungarian wax peppers for a great price. I also found some local Heirloom Italian Trombonici Squash for $2.... which was a good deal considering it was almost 2 feet long! I like the market, and supporting local food means supporting great chemical-free organic produce. Worth it! read more

One of our family's favorite markets in town. The market is set up around the square, allowing for families to step into the square and enjoy the live music and fountain. There is also a great, diverse list of vendors, making it a one stop shop for most local goods. Parking can be somewhat challenging, but usually doesn't end up taking too long to find a spot. Unfortunately I caught only the tail end (last 15 minutes) of this cute farmer's market while on our way to brunch while visiting from Columbus. The set up is great, they are able to shut off a street that has a little park in the middle so the market is in a little loop. While we were there, a duo was playing live music which really made the whole atmosphere feel relaxed, yet upbeat. There was a food truck set up and the guys from Taste of Belgium were making fresh waffles (I am obsessed with them from trying their waffles at North Market). I made a quick loop looking for some lettuce to take home for that night's salads and all of the vendors were super friendly, trying to direct me to grower's they know who may still have some available. 15 minutes until close though, and everyone was sold out. I heart the Hyde Park Farmer's Market. I've heard that others say that it's rather small, and perhaps it is, but I find it perfectly manageable and delightful. My favorite is The Eaton Farm stall, since that's where I get my CSA and all my meat, and I do love Jerry and Elizabeth Eaton (the farmers). But whether or not you have a CSA or go to the same stalls as I, you're sure to find something delicious and (in my mind) reasonably priced. I like the Sunday morning time slot because it's much easier to get to than a weekday afternoon market, for me. My one word of advice: if you're heading to Blue Oven for bread, get there EARLY. They sell out quickly and have a long, long line. Also, great for kids & dogs. The whole market is pedestrian, and in the square itself, they often have music. On the whole, it can be a very nice Sunday morning adventure. read more

Love the HPFM! This is a great way to spend a Saturday. They have live music and great vendors. Almost all vendors have samples too, which is always good. Just got the freshest, organic, locally grown produce and meat, I would bet, in all of Cincinnati. Never been to the Findlay Market, and I hear that's a rival I the HP Farmer's Market, but I've never needed to find out, because there are so many deals to be had in HP! There are plenty of stands from local farmers and vendors, all with an excellent combination of meat, fruit, veggies, flowers, olive oils, syrups, breads, and other local delicacies. The only annoying part is the long wait for Taste of Belgium -- but what else would you expect? The wait at their restaurant is always lengthy, but this way I don't have to go down to OTR for it, it's literally in my backyard! read more

This is a complete market. You can find abundant delicious veggies, fruits, cheese, hummus, coffee, pastas, and desserts. In addition maple syrup and wonderful various of olive oil are available. Flowers and probably a few things I am forgetting are also available. Each vendor carefully screen by the market to make sure the products are in fact local. Hyde Park Farmers Market is my Sunday morning ritual in the summer. Now located right on Hyde Park Square, making it roomier, and allows for additional vendors. I buy herbs, fruits, veggies, amazing artisan bread and pizza from Jean Paul Paridiso's, and an armful of flowers for every room in my house all summer long. I like this one better than Findlay. Findlay offers eclectic things that do not necessarily appeal to me, like deer meat and whole rabbits. eck! My main goal is fruits, veggies, flowers, breads and herbs, so Hyde Park is just right for my tastes/needs. On street parking available or park at the elementary school for free. read more

So Blue Oven is a huge draw here, and their food truck is Amazeballs, 2 words... Muffnut... ok 1 word... made out of two... Still, AWESOME. and you have tons of local farmers, so you can make amends for eating the muffnuts, and eat way healthier. You can pretty much get anything to make a balanced meal, except possibly milk.... anyways, great market, lots of doggies, lots of yoga pants, no lines outside of the bread line... way better than eating at food inc. read more

Best farmer's market in the greater Cincinnati area. Excellent organic produce, with a wide selection available. It is a very lovely location right in HP square; lots of trees, a gorgeous fountain - very European in style. And it doesn't hurt that M5 espresso is also in Hyde Park square. read more

It's a bit small when it's at US bank, though the blue oven bread is well worth it. I have heard great things about and I was finally able to try it and buy some today. Living on the Eastside of Cincinnati, I was excited to find this market on my side of town, with a great assortment of products typically found at Findlay. Yeah, it's a little crowded, and the good stuff is gone early, but there's a nice assortment of local vendors, live music, and Taste of Belgium and Dojo are both there, so that sort of evens it all out! Definitely suggest going early to get the best food, and parking a few blocks away to avoid the traffic. All the vendors are great- super friendly and fairly low prices. A few products seemed a little overpriced, but there's a nice assortment and variety to choose from. read more

Having moved to Cincinnati from a much bigger city, it makes me so happy to see little markets like this popping up. It is important for communities to have ways to get together informally and in public and HP Farmers Market allows that. I sell microgreens at Hyde Park Farmers's Market Microgreens are a vegetable that has not been allowed to grow and harvested when the first 2 leaves appear. The flavors are far more intense with a high vitamin and nutrient content. I sell a mix of arugula, radish, peas, sunflowers, onions, lentils and wheat. Make microgreens your salad or they can be added to a salad, They are also great on any wrap, sandwich, soups, potatoes, eggs, toppings for steak, fish, pizza, flat bread; good on everything. You must try them. No pesticides or fertilizers used as they are babies and don't require this. read more

If you care about what you put into your body food wise, farmers markets are the way to go. This one had lots of local farmers and business owners. You can find anything from goat cheese and pineapple popsickles, grass fed meat, huge bushels of kale for next to nothing to flavor infused olive oils. We spent half as much money as we would have at whole foods for veggies and got twice as much. They also had live music playing and it is dog friendly. All of the vendors were extremely friendly and helpful and had no issues answering questions abut their farming methods. It runs every Sunday during the late spring and summer and we try and go at least 2 times month to stock up on organic fruits and veggies and grass fed beef. Some vendors only take cash, some take cash or credit- I would say bring cash. Do yourself a favor and see what you are missing if you have not gone yet! read more
