I had started looking for something last week (with no avail) at Lowe's and gave up in disgust for a few days. But with Earth Day right around the corner, it's get 'r done time. A friend of a friend referred me to Bad Dog Productions - and it's a good thing because I never would have found them on my own. Hidden in an industrial park in Kirkwood, this shop is run out of what looks like a giant garage. From what I could gather from the short time I was there, they sell production equipment for film makers... and I guess the stuff they carry also applies to festival tents, too :) I got some custom sand bags that have a strap on them so the average person can carry them around AND not have to worry about them busting open if they get dropped or thrown around. Yes! The only drawback is that these high-quality sand bags come with a hefty price tag of $37.50 each. Ouch! I only bought two for now, since that seemed expensive. But if I need more, I know where to go. And it's a small price to pay for knowing that my tent won't blow away at the slightest breeze :)

What I appreciated the most was working with artists who understand art as well as film making and production. My project was unique--a dramatization of Scripture set in ancient time. It was important to me to collaborate with something who could understand the artifact I wanted to achieve without sacrificing technical excellence. My only frown is that Dancing Fox Pictures isn't located in my home town. I was luck enough to catch them while their President was working out of town on another project. Can't wait to work with them again!

We had a videographer cancel on us for the final evening performance of my senior son's high school…read moremusical. I called several businesses in a panic on Saturday morning, and Brandon was one of two who responded (the other one was very courteous, but booked). Brandon was available, very friendly, and showed up that night without even asking for a deposit. He brought two cameras and did a great job... which we know because he sent us a link to the video in just a few days! There was a small issue with the video upload and he got that fixed very quickly. I was so lucky he wasn't booked and I'm very grateful for his wonderful work. Highly recommend!

This company and the owner, Brandon Sloan, who I have on my camera from 2016 when I made a…read morefeature-length documentary on LoFi Cherokee, released an 18-minute video made the following year that strongly resembles part of my feature-length film after the Host's event and main Subject of the film, Bill Streeter, tried to revoke my access to his internet music videos after I had completed the film. Since I acted on a very obvious agreement we made, I had what's called an Implied Copyright License, for all those who don't understand Copyright Law that still claim to be Video Professionals. What that means is I had already completed a Feature Length Film and I had IRREVOCABLE Rights to use the footage that was...Already in the film and already approved of by Streeter. In fact, the Trailer for the film was RELEASED PUBLICLY AT BILL'S EVENT. While I was making the film in 2016, I tried to talk to Brandon like I did most of the crew and many of the bands for formal and informal interviews, and Brandon was the rudest person I had met that day and told me to get my camera out of his face. I guess I found out why after his pal tried revoking my access and ruining my name in St Louis then this guy releases an 18-minute video that is more than twice as long as the others in that series and his VIDEO looks pretty close in structure and to part of my FEATURE-LENGTH FILM and he even used certain video clips that were used in the film. In fact, Bill Streeter even attacked my Youtube and Vimeo Channels with False DMCA's for my Trailer, Rough Cut and the video of him announcing the Trailer Publicly. They are all back online now. He did this after his pal Sloan made his video. I am pretty positive I have a legitimate COpyright Claim against Dancing Shoes but it isn't worth my time. Instead, I'm releasing LoFi Cherokee: The Movie under WE Entertainment LLC in Los Angeles, where short films just don't add up.

Don is amazing at what he does and he truly works with you in achieving what you want for your photos. He did our engagement photos recently and it went really smooth. He made it fun and we felt comfortable taking pictures with him because he made everything go with the flow and it felt very natural! We took pictures at Balboa park and he took us around to different spots so that he could maximize the area and beauty of Balboa Park. It was nice that he wanted us to have a big selection of photos with different background and styles. When we were taking pictures Don made us feel very relaxed. I loved that he made us feel at home and it was enjoyable! He taught us different poses and made it simple as possible. It was such a fun day! LOL The week before our engagement photos he even called me to talk about attire and it was really nice of him to talk about what would be best to wear and he really wanted us to look perfect on that day and suggested many different outfits and even asked if he could see what we got planned to see if it would go well with the theme etc. it was really considerate of him to take the time to reach out to us and care about our wardrobe and how the pictures will look with certain attire. Don sent us a lot of engagement photos and they all turned out beautifully!! I was very impressed and I am excited to work with him on videography and photography for our wedding day. Don is a very dedicated photographer and videographer. I can already see that it is his passion. He is very busy and books up fast so be considerate of his responses! He truly does try to get back to me asap and I haven't had any problems with communication the last couple months working with him.
